Hotell i Singapore

Hotellet var bra det. Rent og pent med delikate rom. Praktisk med frokostsal i 11 etg. når man bor i 12. Eneste minus var internettfasilitetene. Iflg. bestillingen stod det at det skulle være gratis, men det var det absolutt ikke! (dyrt). Dessuten var det delvis ute av drift pga. vedlikehold.

The hotel is somewhat old fasioned (80es..) and is integrated in a sort of shoppingcentre (small stall like shops, goldsmiths, watchmakers, gemstone sellers etc). My room was ok. It was next to the lifts, and I expected some noise, but I heard nothing. The breakfast is very good, and there are two restaurants in the hotel (indian and chinese). The rooftop pool and bar are very nice, the lobby bar is dreadful. The hotel employees are very friendly and helpful.

Very good location and close to most places worth checking out. Generally quiet area however the hotel was under heavy renovation. Some noise and chemical smell at ground level. It will be extremely nice ones finished. Superb interior. No wireless in room during renovation. Internet with cable was expensive.

Vi bodde tre netter på dette hotellet, i desember 2011. Hotellet ligger nær flyplassen og er derfor et godt valg dersom man trenger overnatting fra en dag til en annen, hvis man f.eks skal fly videre neste dag. Det er svært lite å se og gjøre i området, og det tar nesten en time med MRT (undergrunn) + buss fra Singapores shopping-sentrum (Orchid Road, Raffles etc) til hotellet. Hotellet i seg selv har god standard, med basseng, tre restauranter og god service. Dessverre har de valgt å benytte den hardeste madrasstypen, noe vi opplevde som negativt. Et helt greit hotell, men neste gang vi skal til Singapore blir det nok et hotell mer sentralt i byen.

Hotel in a very good location and in general clean. However, staff could be nicer for a 4* hotel (in particular at check-in), internet is highly overpriced, the general decore is rather cold and not really welcoming.
