  This hotel is run by friendly staff and has a great atmosphere, situated on top of the REX jazz and blues club. The surronding area is also great, lots of street life and entertainment and eating possibilities. The hotel is a bit run down (but the bathroom was very good), the room I was in a bit small and I had to use earplugs to shut of the music when I arrived, dazed by jetlag.But that doesnt matter so much. The lack of a elevator can be a bother for some.

  Based on som of the other reviews you would extpect a rundown and dirty hotel. Suprise! You can safely stay here and have a great time. This is right in Yorksville with shopping and restaurants, and 5-10 ten minutes by taxi to the Financial District. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, ours turned to a green back yard, very quiet and peaceful. We were 3 in the room, and it was perfect. For the price, you will be lucky to find any other hotel downtown Toronto that compares with this. This is absolutely Just don't expect much from the breakfast, it's hardly worth while. Have a sandwich at the cafe next door intstead.
