The hotel overall was good and was convenient to downtown.

i have stayed here previously and each time I'm there - I never have encountered any negative issues or experiences - I love this hot when 'm in NC

We were very satisfied with our stay at the Sheraton Raleigh, NC. Convenient in every way both driving and walking.

I've stayed at the Sheraton in downtown Raleigh a couple times and I have been pleased with both stays. For one thing, the location is great; parking is nearby, it's within walking distance of all the major attractions and facilities in downtown Raleigh. It has good facilities; the indoor pool and gym are not very busy and are well set up and kept […] in good condition. The food at the restaurant is pretty good. The room was clean and comfortable. Surprisingly quiet for downtown Raleigh. It's showing its age a little and the room was a bit worn but clean, and the bed was comfortable. Downsides; parking is pricey. The parking deck across the street is free on weekends but they'll try to charge you for parking anyway. They don't ask you for your car info nor do they give you anything to put on your car (so therefore they don't tow), so I would recommend just telling them you don't have a car if you are staying on the weekend. Internet was also pricey; given what I paid for the room, I would have expected free Internet. On the plus side, I had great signal on my phone so I just didn't use it. Overall, a great place to stay; I'll likely stay again sometime. Les mer

After stressing the extra cost of cleaning a smoky room if you smoke in it, we got into our room and it clearly smelled like smoke. its a shame we could not crack the window.

The staff at the reception desk was welcoming and helpful with directions.,etc Another staff member walked outside with us to make sure we could negotiate around the repair cones and over to the detour for the parking garage. The maids were pleasant as well.

I've stayed here before, and it's a great hotel. The rooms vary, so you may want to look at a few before choosing one. I'm allergy/smell sensitive, so I end up sniffing out two or three rooms in a hotel to find one I don't react to (at any hotel, not just this one). The beds are super cozy and comfortable and the interiors are done in calming brown […] neutrals with soft white comforter. My room was quiet and I slept well. My hotel room here was crisp, modern, very clean, yet warm and cozy. It's centrally located, with restaurants just steps away. I asked one of the locals where the locals hang out for cafes/dinner, etc. They pointed me over to Glenwood Ave., which is about 12 blocks from this hotel. It's a short hike by foot, or a quick cab or trolly ride. It was worth […] the walk... but I also really enjoyed the area around the hotel. It's a quite downtown, but very comfortable. I found an amazing building full of art studios nearby called ArtSpace. Overall, a great stay, and I'm hard to please. Les mer

We have stayed at this hotel several times, and continue to do so due to comfort and pretty good customer service. The only downfall is the staff at the restaurant when we went for the breakfast buffet. Got scolded when filling up our coffee by the entrance, and told it wasn't free even though we were paying to eat there. Got seated, waited for at least […] 10 minutes before we just got up and helped ourselves to the buffet. Had to track down wait staff to get our drinks, then again when we wanted our bill. This was perfect to see museums, the Capitol, walk to restaurants. Parked the car once and walked. . nice safe area. A great location to see downtown and competant staff.

Nice hotel. Charged extra for internet ($10) and parking ($12). Parking was in the structure across the street - not easy to find. Wireless signal was not strong enough and had to request cable from the front desk. Nothing so exceptional about this hotel that they couldn't include parking and internet in the charges like the less expensive hotels.

I had a wonderful stay at the Raleigh hotel it was clean, comfortable and compassionate. The staff when out of thier way to help and even remembered my name later in the evening. It was a quiet Monday but very pleasant. Need valet parking though. I (single female) had to park my own car after dark in the garage across the street--not a great feeling. Great location but can use a little updating. The room we had was nice enough, but the finishes could use a bit of updating. I always expect wi-fi to be free nowadays but here iit wasn't (unless you want to go down to the 2nd floor and connect there). Parking rates also jump up after the weekend. Staff were great, and given that there was a video gamers […] convention during our stay, they were able to keep the place pretty civil I had no issues with noise or late night partying. Les mer

Typical Sheraton and amenities but nothing special. The fitness room is barely adequate. Weigths are limited and little free space to stretch. If you're just sleeping here, the rooms are large, clean, and well maintained. There are often local festivals in the area in front of the hotel. Very nice if you like festivals. Could be noisy but the staff […] will happily give you a room at the back of the hotel. Staff is wonderful. Parking is easy on the weekend and convinient to most local attractions. Was absolutely with the money. Travel a lot for work and the comforts, amenities, and locations were perfect. Food at the restaurant was ok.

conviently located if you are attending the convention center. Nice places to eat and socialised with in walking distances. overall a great hotel.Robin

The rooms are nice and comfortable. If you like feather pillows, this is the hotel for you. They don't really have flat pillows, which is a drawback for me. The beds are very comfortable, and it's usually nice and quiet there. All in all, a good experience.

I'm from Raleigh, and stayed here for 3 nights just to give my wife a long weekend off from "mom duty" without the stress of traveling. The room was great . She prefers firm beds, and big pillows; I like soft beds and thin pillows. Somehow their bedding was perfectly between, and we both slept better than at home. The hot water was hot; the shower […] high-pressure (even on the 15th floor); and the in-room coffee was Starbucks. There was no mini-fridge; a surprising oversight for a room of this caliber. Also, there was a repair to the ceiling over the shower that was unfinished, and looked somewhat course, as opposed to the rest of the room which was all kept at a very high standard. The service was friendly, prompt, and helpful. The cleaning service thorough. The location is about as good as it gets in Raleigh. Right on Fayetteville street, the Sheraton is within walking distance of Raleigh's finest restaurants, bars, and the theater. Overall, a great hotel; and a surprising value for what you get. I've paid twice as much at other hotels for a similar experience. Les mer

Don't stay there if going on business. From 9pm-6am there are loud drunks in the hallway arguing and being rowdy. The doors must be paper thin because everything in the hallway goes right through the door. The pool, which they claimed was heated was freezing cold. There were no towels at the pool and the front desk staff couldn't be bothered to get […] some more. Will not stay there again. Les mer

I enjoyed the location of the hotel being across the street from the convention center in Raleigh, where we had to attend the NCAE conference and parking taken care of . I enjoyed our room which was very comfortable & the conviences of the restaurant on the second floor and the restaurant on the corner. This hotel was great for our needs and will serve us well in our future trips to downtown Raleigh. If you are in town for an event near center city or downtown Raleigh, this is the place to stay.

Woke in the morning to discover that water had been turned off, so no toilet, no shower, no faucet. Hotel did not notify me at check in nor did they leave any notice in the room. It was not an emergency shutoff - the hotel knew it was happening. The morning staff told me I was supposed to be notified at check in the night before. They expected me to […] still pay for the room despite begin unable to shower or use the bathroom. This is an independently operated Sheraton - be very, very careful about selecting this hotel; if something goes wrong, they will not react in your favor. That's just it. The hotel was perfectly fine. Not the best remodel for the price, but it was fine. The staff there, however, were HORRIBLE. Some were friendly, but most were not. They certainly weren't helpful and constantly passed me off to someone else in the middle of check-in. I watched them do this to several others as well. The big thing is, they […] made you feel like you were inconveniencing them and that they were doing you a favor by working. Definitely will consider this as a last resort in the future. Les mer

After my most recent stay, I will never return to this hotel, and perhaps I will never stay at another Sheraton. Not only was the staff incredibly rude, but my room was dirty (pubic hairs on the towels and linens), the hotel was loud, and my entire floor reaked of marijuana. I had several conversations with hotel staff, and after each conversation, […] I felt as if my stay was a burden on them. The staff was incredibly rude to me, and preferred to spend more time gossiping about other people or surfing the internet than on basic customer service needs. When I complained about the obvious use of illegal drugs and the smell that permeated the hallways, my concerns were ignored. My stay in the hotel was so miserable, I left before the night was over and stayed elsewhere! I strongly discourage others from staying at this hotel! Les mer

Nice Hotel, Staff was friendly and helpful. Great location. My only issue was being charged for internet access 25.00. Most Hotels do not charge this fee. Other than that everything was great!

I stayed at the Sheraton Raleigh while attending a multi-day conference. Overall I had a good experience. Clean room, good service, quiet, and within walking distance to everything I needed (the conventions center was across the road and restaurants were all around.) A good place to stay. The only criticism that I have is for the closet sliding doors […] that constantly got in the way of getting to my clothes in my suitcase. I'd have to slide one door to get to my hanging suites, then slide BOTH doors the other way to get to my suitcase. It was a bit annoying and probably could have been better planned since the hotel has recently undergone massive renovations to the rooms. All in all still a good place to stay and I would recommend it to anyone I know. Les mer

the hotel did not had complementary internet and breakfast which even cheap hotels like days inn have. I spent so much for 4 days stay but was not satisfied with the facilities. ofcourse if I have a million dollars I can buy 24 hours internet, drinking water bottles, breakfast etc. but it is kind of sad that instead of giving full value of their money […] to the customers a hotel as famous as sheraton is just trying to find out ways to squeeze money from the customers. I would prefer days inn or super 8 type hotels from next time onawards which know how to satisfy their customers. Les mer

Hotel is OK at best. Needs some general maintenance. My room door stuck and I had to use my shoulder to push door open. Room was clean but a little worn. Staff is friendly but really couldn't help with anything. Even though I had intended to stay for 2 days....and had prepaid the 2 days, I checked out early. There was a motorcycle convention downtown […] with the street in front of the hotel closed for several blocks. Even though my room was on the eighth floor and did not face the convention, it was so noisy night and day that I could sleep or even watch TV. The hotel couldn't move me to another room since they are all noisy so I checked out and kissed the prepayment goodbye. I could not walk around downtown since they crowd was a bit sketchy. While not the Sheraton's faut, they know that no one would want to stay at the hotel unless associated with the cycle convention. They should have refuned by money or warned me at booking. This is the third time I've stayed at the Sheraton this year. It's 1 of 2 hotels downtown. I've had trouble everytime and the is a problem with every room. Since the staff is friendly, I return but no again after this stay. They said that there was nothing they could do. If you're considering staying here, verify what conventions are downtown or groups are in house. Les mer

This hotel is very convenient to see the sights in Raleigh. The free bus picks up outside of the hotel and there are many restaurants within walking distance. Friendly staff and nice rooms. The pool was nice. Gym could use some sanitizer or wipes, but it was nice.

The photos on the website made the hotel look average, however the hotel was beautiful! There was a great salt water jacuzzi and pool. The hotel was clean with nice appliances. Overall great stay!
