Vi tilbragte en natt på Hotel Ocean, Miami Beach etter cruise. Betjeningen på hotellet var hyggelig og hjelpsomme. Hotellet er veldig slitt og tildeles dårlig vasket. Rommene er store og noen med havutsikt. Froksten var forferdelig dårlig. Det store positive med hotellet er beliggenheten! Dette er midt i smørøyet! Hotellet ligger midt på Ocean drive, og er nyoppusset. Kort vei til shopping på Collins Ave. Hotellet har god standard, men dersom jeg hadde betalt full pris, ville jeg blitt veldig skuffet over hotellet. Hotellet har også et restaurant/bar område, hvor det spilles HØY musikk helt frem til stengetid. Dersom du ønsker å sove, så ta med øreplugger. Fint hotell perfekt plassert i forhold til Ocean Drive og strand. Kanskje noe mye støy i restrurantområdet og høye priser på mat og drikke. Frokost var sært mangelfull og maten på tilliggende resturant var ikke allverden

The wife and I were headed out on a cruise and decided to check out south beach the night before. The hotel was right on the main strip, which was it's one saving grace. The front desk barley spoke English and was rude. The armoires in the room were broken on at least one hinge. Concrete was stacked in the stair so we would have been unable to use […] it in case of a fire. Mold was growing rampant in the shower. But it didn't have bed bugs thank God. Les mer

Nice European design, good location but not for one looking for a quiet location. This is in the heart of South Beach so go planning to party. Overall I would stay again.

The room was pretty nice and the washroom was very large. However, we had to switch rooms because the air conditioner was broken. The first room had a huge tiled shower and was facing the beach. The second room was on the forth floor and was larger, had a huge balcony but the washroom wasn't updated (old tube that needs to be replaced and was dirty). […] The rooms facing the street also suffer from the noise (live band plays outside the hotel and there's a club two doors down). We stayed in this hotel over the WMC weekend. Our toilet flooded twice, the maintenance guy never showed up, had to complain twice. We managed to get moved into a 1 bedder, ocean view hotel which was great. The staff were very helpful. Only other problem is that when we arrived in the early morning, some guy was drunk and passed out in the hall way […] outside our room. We had to get security to escort him out. Les mer

My room had a great layout and was very clean. The beach is right across the street from the hotel along with a playground for kids. I would have given this hotel a slightly higher rating if it was not for some of the maintenance work being done during my stay. I understand that work needs to be done but at 8am? There was a surprise $12 resort fee added on. But it did include breakfast and free bike use for 2 hours , which we did take advantage .

Staff were indifferent. If you go with the expectation of a hostel then you won't be disappointed, but no services to give it hotel status. Room was good however.

What a pleasant surprise!! The reviews I had read were very mixed so I was a bit nervous about my stay. It was great. LArge oceanfront room with brand new bathroom. The bathroom was very small, but had a huge shower. The service was prompt and very accommodating. Staff couldn't be more pleasant, very unusual in South Beach. Very good restaurant in the […] courtyard. Only problem is the noise from the excellent band and flamenco dancer that goes on till 11:30 pm nightly. I definitely would stay there again. Les mer

If you want to relax and enjoy the peacefulness of the ocean...this is NOT the place to stay. Even on Monday night...there was music blaring LOUDLY until at least 1AM in the morning. It is in a good and safter location across from the beach.

We wanted to be on Ocean Drive - right across from the beach - that part was great. The rooms are large and bed was comfortable. What we didn't think about is that to even get to your hotel, you need to pass through the restaurant that harasses you to sit down to eat and drink (Not recommended unless you like too sweet drinks and overpriced food) and […] the noise from the band can be quite loud. Fortunately, music is over at 11pm, but the fire alarm went off both nights (twice - once at 3AM and again at 7am, then in the middle of the night the next day). Both times, the front desk said this never happens, but must have been someone smoking. We thought being in the back would keep the noise down, but didn't think about the trucks in the alley behind us. Probably, the better rooms are at the front. The manager at least apologized profusely, but the noise will keep us from coming back. Les mer

Checked in late. Accommodated me without any questions. Suites are clean and big. Again just a perfect spot. Lets just hope it does NOT become a SoBe hotel.

The only good thing I can say about this hotel is the location. Staff was not very friendly and you get an additional $12 charge a day to use the wifi and towels and chairs on the beach. For an overnight stay you would be charged $24. A total rip off. Oh yeah the "wifi" is only available in the lobby. You can not access it from the room.

I've booked through Hotels.com several times for the past few yrs & for the first time, upon my arrival hotel, have I been told my reservation didn’t exist. I didn’t worry because this simply meant I’d have to contact Hotels.com to get it resolved, however, I end up being told that "luckily" there’s a room avail. I booked Junior Suite & it’s what I […] got, however, my room looked NOTHING like the pics. My suite was outdated, dusty, & dirty. It was bare & the little furnishings it had were old & uncomfortable. The curtains had large stains on them that looked like either blood stains or old redish-brownish mold spots…walls were dirty, too. It looked like a suite that hadn't been used/cleaned in a while & in which last minute guest are placed in as a last resort. The bathroom was VERY moldy & had no hand or face towels. My bed was missing a comforter & when I called front desk to request one, I was brought a lightweight raggedy blanket. The telephones had no ext list, so this task took longer than it should’ve, my tv remotes didn’t work, & there was no channel listing guide. I did have ocean view, but windows are so small that it's not much of a luxury...windows were very moldy too. The hotel's elevators & hallways had a horrible strong smell. To top it off, the suite is a corner one & a new hotel's being built next door, so I was woken up at 5am by its construction. This was definitely my WORST hotel experience in SoBe & will NOT be booking here ever again! Les mer

perfect location - loud but that is because it is in the middle of OCEAN DRIVE IN SOUTH BEACH. Nice attentive staff. Huge room.

For starters, we had to pay for parking, which was $33.00 a day. The last 2 days during our stay, we had to walk to another block to pick up our rental car. The hotel doesn't have any place to park cars for their customers. Another issue, was the smell of the hallways and the courtyard. It smelled like mold. The 2nd day when we went down to get some […] breakfast, the ceiling opened up and started to pour water out of 4 light fixtures and onto the food. When asked what was going on, the manager stated that a toilet was over filling above the restaurant. O-how nice........ Lastly, when went got their, we noticed that the AC was not working. In looking at the bed, their was only a white sheet for a blanket. After the first night, I advised the manager that we didn't have any AC, which he got fixed. In asking the manager for a blanket, the manager located one for us. I wouldn't recommend staying here........you will be dissappointed. Sorry, but I'm just being truthful. Les mer

Staff is very friendly and always ready to assist you. Hotel is located on 12th street on the Ocean Drive which is the primary reason I stayed there. If you like smaller hotels this is a great place for your stay.

Hotel is on the older side and could use some updates, bathrooms inparticular. There was a slight musty smell in hallways but not in the rooms. Staff was great, Harold was very friendly and outgoing. Harold was able to check us in about 3 hours early which was great. We had a room in the front with and ocean view which was nice to see but the entertainment […] right below us in the coutyard was a bit on the loud side, didn't bother us too much. Construction on hotel next door made it very dusty. Hard to breath. Wood floors had a film not cleaned properly. Loud music from downstairs band made it difficult to sleep. No bellman to help with luggage or valet parking.

Never ever go to this hotel even if it fits your budget. The hotel staff was very rude, the rooms were not clean. After several reminders the staff finally came and did the cleaning and what was found that the same towel which was used the same has been folded and kept back at place. There is nothing like breakfast in the hotel which they call as breakfast. […] Its just plan bagel and bread and toaster available. The juice is kept aside.. god knows how old it was... When we first arrived we had a hiccup with the bathroom not being cleaned, however upon my complaint we were switched to a much better room with a ocean view. The staff was great and friendly. The romantic getaway was perfect as we sat on the beach and travel the strip from club to club bar to bar. Perfect location for all who want to have fun.

The junior suite was fine for our stay. The only thing that was a little bothersome was the loud music from the restaurant downstairs but then again it's Ocean Dr. in Miami. If you want to get lots of rest or have small children you should probably stay in a different area. Hotel location was walking distance to most nightlife which was great!!!

The price do not mach the quality of the service. We asked for four towels they geve us only two. Only after few times calling the girl who working in the lobby brouhgt us some.but the made doesn't know what her job is. Didn' trash out the garbage and didn' change the bad linen..

Tiles falling off the bathroom tub and walls, cracked leather chairs. Good location and nice sized room. Don't want to stay more than one day. Glad i didn't have to.

We booked into the Ocean but when we got there we were upgraded to the Break Water. Everything there. Was superb except for the coverage who never seemed to be on duty when you needed information. Other than that the hotel is most recommended.

We LOVED our room!!! Looked like a picture out of a magazine. Nice and spacious. Comfy bedding. Bathroom a bit peculiar, but good enough to get in, get cleaned, and get out to PARTY!!! Will DEF seek to rebook for future group vacation!

They lie about bed sizes in their description, bathrooms filthy, some rooms have mold in bathroom, too loud to sleep at night, some rooms need renovation based on 3 rooms I saw. Only good thing was location and the restaurant downstairs has really good food.

Recently stayed at Hotel Ocean for a weekend getaway. The room was much larger than expected and was conveniently located directly across from the beach. The room itself contained a queen size bed, a bathroom with jacuzzi tub, a separate shower just outside the bathroom, a bar, spacious living area, leather couch and hard wood floors. From first glance […] the room appeared to be amazing, but as I looked further I found several flaws. First the room smelled like old sweaty socks; I assume that it was the ventilation system. Next, the room was humid, seemed like the air conditioner didn't work too well. Attempted to turn the AC down, but wouldn't. go lower than 78 degrees. The remote control to the TV barely worked and the cold water handle was missing in the bathroom sink. Overall. I made the best of the room because I knew I would be outdoors most of the day, but I probably wouldn't stay at this hotel again. nor would I recommend it. Les mer

My experience overall was ok. I came with my husband and we had a pleasant time. My only concern was the third floor it had a very unpleasant odor throughout the hallways. It was a stale odor . The hotel needs to upgrade on finer linen for the beds as well. The hotel is at a great location with many resturants near by.
