Sheraton Needham Hotel - Needham

Had warm water, nice bed. Could use some vending machines on the floor. Can hear other peoples toilets flushing. Heat was a bit too much, tried to lower it, but I guess it was ok. Only came to sleep and run out the door. It was ok, I will stay again. I like the Sheraton.

Bad customer service made the overall experience went down. I enjoyed the cleanliness of the room very much. However, it was disapointed with the customer survice; not so friendly or helpful, instead made me feel like a jerk.

the beds were were comfortable, very nice staff. suttle bus works at certain times and days

This hotel had the worst mattress we have ever had in any hotel. The pillows were beyond cheap. Big, heaping, and so bouncy that they bounced the head right up and gave us a formidable kink in the neck. Had to sleep with a couple of bath towels under my head. Nice hotel if you don't mind being farther away from Boston. Good customer service. Rooms are average. My non-smoking room definitely had a smokey smell that persisted. Seemed to come from the vents. Bathrooms were basic with minimal amenities. If you can book this room at a reasonable rate, I would give it a 4 star. But if you are paying above average […] room rate, I would probably book elsewhere. Hotel charges $9.00 a day for parking at a suburban area hotel? very clean comfortable room, enjoyed benefits od club room.

We were there on business recently. Hotel was actually very nice. Our room was decent; the bathroom, however, had been used prior to our arrival, and we had to clean off the toilet seat. Deadbolt did not fit at all. Fortunately, it wasn't needed that night. The hot breakfast was complimentary, which we enjoyed. We were expecting the usual continental […] breakfast of cold bagels, danish and assortment of pastries. The bar provided a good selection for lunch, but a couple of hours later, when we were served refreshments at our break, neither the kitchen nor the bar/grill was open. No coffee was made available. For us, who survive on coffee 3x a day, that was the beginning of the end of our goodwill. For those who are and will be stepping into the footprints of our day, make sure you have provisions for coffee in the afternoon. Les mer

Hotels.com booked my room under my first name so when I arrived, I was told my reservation had been cancelled. Hotel staff was extremely helpful, calling hotels.com and investigating. "Anne found the mistake and corrected it. Otherwise, the room was beautiful, though a little dusty. I would definitely recommend the Sheraton again.

Problems included insufficient hot water, and room temperature that ranged from way to warm, to way to cold, with very little just right. I had 2 recent stays about a month apart, and had the same issues both times, so I will not give them a third visit.

My room was a renovated one and extremely nice. King bed and sleeper sofa were great. Staff was professional and helped me out. Hallway could have been cleaner - not picked up when I arrive late.

If you're a guest at the hotel, I think the parking should be free.

I would not go without writing a review in how great the Sheraton hotel was. I can only say that its rated almost 4 star hotel, but my experience rates it 5 star hotel. The staffs at the hotel from the receptionist to the maintaince crew were exceptional. I took my son and my nephews there just for a vacation fun. Because of having an indoor pool. They […] treated us like kings and queens everything was fantastic. I cannot say anything more that THANK YOU SO MUCH for the attention. Only problem that I had is that they were under construction so they had to have the fire alarm to be tested a few times, but because I was with young kids and there was no relaxation per say for me, it didn’t bother me so much, but I could do without it. This hotel is currently under construction. There were water and power outages all in the name of renovation. Unfortunately, I stayed in a renovated room where this was directly affected. I wish I had been told about this before I paid that much money for the room.

Although on hotels.com it was stated that our room would contain a microwave and a refrigerator we did not have either. When we requested to have a microwave brought up they took hours to bring it up and we ended up having to ask a total of 4 times to bring it. I have mixed reactions about our stay at the Hotel. Overall there were good aspects about the hotel which I replied about in the survey. However, say the noise level was ridiculously high, especially with all the yelling in the hallway outside our door between 10 p.m. and 4 a.m. Moreover, there appeared to be no insulation whatever between room walls […] in that my wife and family were disturbed from our rest in the wee early morning hours by a loud TV next door and people yelling...probably some of the same ones who were in the hallway. I even went to the extent to call guest services about the noise level. I was very upset when we left the hotel the next day, but will give a reprieve to the facility when we realized that some of my wife's clothing was left in the bureau. We did call the hotel and the items were turned in and sent to us in Maine very promptly. Seeing that my family we were visiting lives in Needham at present, we will probably be looking to stay near them again...the hotel was just a couple of miles away from their residence. Because of the followup service of sending our clothing in a very timely manner, we will give the hotel a 2nd chance. Les mer

Sheraton Needham was undergoing renovation and upgrading but you wouldn't have known it unless you booked knowing it. Sounds funny, but the staff and the renovation "process" were excellent. The staff, front desk and rooms, were superior. They were polite, cooperative, and made our stay (2 days) wonderful. We didn't have hot water for 2 mornings; it finally was fixed shortly after 8AM the second morning. The internet access in the rooms was wired only (and with a surcharge), but it did not work in one of our rooms (our family had 3 rooms) and although we reported the problem the first morning, the hotel failed to repair it during the entire stay of 3 […] nights. We had 1 car, but were charged for parking it on all 3 rooms' accounts. The hotel corrected the charges on the parking to bill us only once, when this was brought to their attention. We received no notice or any information regarding the lack of, or repair of, the hot water or the internet connection. On a positive note, the beds were very comfortable. Les mer

My initial feeling was that it was a nickel and dime operation. From checking in, to find out there was a daily fee for parking, the internet service was an additional charge, as well as just getting a cup of coffee. The hotel was visibly undergoing remodeling. woke up on Sunday morning to banging and clanging above our room starting around 8AM.Called the front desk, they appologized and compensated me with 4000 starwood points. i guess that was fair but i'd rather it hadn't happened.

I enjoy my stay.

After several stays over 5 years, the staff at the Needham MA Sheraton has been unfailingly pleasant and helpful -- desk, restaurant, and courtesy van in particular. This has always been a clean, quiet, and well-maintained hotel, and is so now. The hotel is undergoing a renovation, and I stayed in one of the newly renovated rooms. Pleasant, if somber. […] However, possibly in an effort to save electricity in unoccupied rooms, the new rooms have inter-connected the entryway light switch to a) the floor lamp at the far end of the room (good), b) the desk lamp, and c) the TV. This means that in order to watch TV at night, you must leave the entryway light on (and get up to turn it off), and in order to charge gizmos on the outlets at the desk lamp (such as a phone or computer over night), you must also leave the entryway light on, as it controls power delivered to the desk lamp. When I brought this to the attention of the desk, they seemed honestly surprised, and told me that all the rooms would soon have this arrangement. Seems odd to me. I can understand the floor lamp at the far end of the room, but not the desk lamp or TV... The room I stayed in did not have a fridge, which would have been an advantage during my extended stay (I believe some rooms do). The dead bolt for the renovated room door did not exactly line up with the door jamb; as a consequence, the dead bolt was unusable (though the rest of the locking mechanism worked correctly). The Cons: The hotel is a bit run down. When I got to my room there was a pouch of scented beads stuffed into the heater/AC unit. My guess is they were there to cover up cigarette smoke since the hotel at one time allowed smoking. My sheets had small holes torn in them. They charge for overnight parking. The Pros: Currently under renovation so soon […] the hotel will be very nice. Excellent service and friendly staff Convenient access to many of the business parks in the area. Overall I'd stay here again because the price is right, but the hotel is in dire need of the current renovation. Les mer

I chose this location due to its proximity to Boston College (Parents' Weekend) and the fact that it was a Sheraton Hotel and that, in and of itself, is a good thing. However, I was disappointed that the room seemed to be in the "old" section of the hotel, passing broken walls and semi-construction on the way. Upon entering the room, although non-smoking, […] a faint smell of smoke was still lingering although two packets of scented potpourri was placed in the air vents by the staff most likely to sweeten the smell. The bed was very comfortable; the carpet was worn. Disappointed. Will not stay there again. Les mer

Frustrated you have to pay for parking...

Great price at last minute. Clean and comfortable room. My only complaint is the restaurant in the hotel is overpriced for a "sports bar/lounge" - $15 burgers for example. I refused to eat there. Otherwise it is a great hotel and I would stay there again.
