Hadde et kjempefint opphold. Anbefales! Flott å rusle ned til Bryant Park og spise frokost/lunch. Eneste minus: ikke gratis internetttilgang. Ikke langt til Times Square!

Hotellet er supermodernt og ligger direkte anknytning til Grand Central med subway, busser og tog. Ligger mitt i smørøya. Alltfør mye folk og konferanser gjorde att det føltes som et kjøpesenter og blev allt før opersonligt. Allt kostet extra penger fex internet mm.

Utrulig bra beliggenhet. Gå avsatand til Empire State building, times square og shopping på fifth avenue og Madison avenue. ca 20 min opp til Central Park. God størrelse på rommene. Vi velger gjerne dette hotellet igjen.

Alle rom er renoverte, respesjonsområdet vil være ferdig i løpet av 2011. Store fine rom med bra renhold. Fin frokost/kaffe bar for de som ikke ønsker å benytte restauranten. God service hos persnonalet i resepsjonen. Hotellet har en fin beliggenhet rett ved Central station.

Veldig fine hotellrom. Ligger veldig sentralt . Hotell lobbyen var under oppussing når vi var der. Fint treningsrom .

Vi bodde 4 netter på hotellet i juni 2011. Rommene er nyrenovert, mens resepsjonsområdet og inngangspartiet gjenstår. Et bra hotell mes ypperlig beliggenhet i NY.

Vi hadde 8 fantastiske dager i New York. Bra hotell med bra beliggenhet. Ny oppusset rom og etasje var et stort pluss. En del oppussing i resepsjonsområdet og utenfor skapte ett litt rotete førsteinntrykk. Men hotellet anbefales på sitt varmeste. Beliggenheten med nærhet til 5.avenue og kort avstand til masse gode og artige butikker på 34. gt, og ikke […] minst kort avstand til Central Park, ja det meste er innen for føttenes rekkevidde, og vil du ikke gå, ja da er aldri en taxi langt unna. Vi var en familie på fire vi hadde ett rom med to dobbel senger. Sengene var litt smale, men ellers ok. Standard på rommet var helt grei, stort nok for ett opphold på 3-4 dager. Endel trafikkstøy, men likevel fint at vinduene lot seg åpne. Rommet var noe preget av alder, men absolutt akseptabelt. Treningsrommet var veldig bra og hotellet framstår som […] lukseriøst. Greit med egen kiosk/kafe i resepsjonsområdet. Her var det ganske dyrt, men likevel vesentlig billigere enn å gå på frokost kafe. Vi prøvde ikke restaurantene i hotellet. Hyggelig betjening som ga masse tips og råd. NB skal du bestille teaterbiletter, biletter til sportsarrangementer ol så kan hotellet hjelpe men det er veldig dyrt. Biletter til mange sportsarrangementer kan du kjøpe direkte på arenaene til en mye billigere pris hvis du er ute i god tid. Dette hotellet har en glimrende beliggenhet med Grand Central Station og Chryslerbygningen som nærmeste nabo. Vi var en familie på fire som delte ett rom. Det fungerte godt. Bra størrelse på rommet i NY målestokk, gode senger og godt renhold. Savnet imidlertid kjøleskap/minibar og vannkoker. Betjeningen i lobbyen var hjelpsomme og hjalp til med bl.a […] bordbestilling. We, a family of 5, 2 parents, children 13, 20 and 22 yrs, boys, from Bergen, Norway, stayed at Grand Hyatt for 1 week in July/Aug 2009. We have visited many great cities earlier, however, this was our first time in NY. As regards the Grand Hyatt Hotel; our overall conclusion = excellent. Service (a special thx to the Consierge) = excellent (a lot […] of good advices covering dining, attractions etc!) Check in/out = excellent (quick and precice, no waiting) Rooms = excellent (large rooms, nice bathrooms, good noice reduction, everything in accordance with the pictures we reviewed before we made the reservation). Fitness center = excellent. Location = excellent (perfect location, whatever you would like to do in Manhattan) A few minor improvement suggestions for the Hotel: * Coffee/hot water machine in the rooms (Starbucks at the Lobby, very good, but ok if possible to make coffee at the room, especialli in the morning * Refrigerator in the rooms (as above, no big "deal", but would have been nice to have). Meget fint hotell i nyere stil, et meget godt alternativ om man vil ha et fint opphold uten å betale alt for mye. Her får du alt du trenger på et rent og pent hotell med hyggelige ansatte.

What a wonderful stay we had. Clean rooms and the staff was helpful.

Wow, what a location. Even noticed it featured in the new Marvel Assemble movie. The room was clean and well appointed. It wasnt big but it had everything we needed for a short break. It was a few seconds from all the main shopping areas and almost all the main attractions in Manhatton.Sevice on check in was fantastic. I booked a night at the Grand Central Hyatt for a trip to New York to see a show on Broadway. The hotel is in an ideal location. We could easily walk to almost all the different subway lines. After the show and dinner, we could even walk back. It was a great deal!

Nicely appointed hotel and room with state of the art lighting. Room and bathroom small. Toilet paper location in bathroom is poor. Night light in Bathroom blinked all day and night. AC always on causing ones mouth to be very dry during sleep and upon awakening. Dresser is weird as it has doors hiding drawers. Best is the location and its Lobby. Great […] staff. Les mer

Wonderful staff and service.

the hotel was just in the right location for us. We had greast ease of getting to the places we wanted. However, the countertop over the bathroom needs to be changed.

A+ Room and nice size for NYC. The lobby was very impersonal,loud and check in and out desk very strange. Location location location. Not enough resturants and hard to find a cup of coffee. It felt like a europan hotel.

Not the worst hotel I've ever stayed in, but one of the worst in terms of value for money. The public areas are typical big chain four star quality; spacious with lots of marble and glass, but the bedrooms are typical big city two star cram them in size, and not not overly opulent. Not only was there no bath, there wasn't even a proper shower stall, […] so water from the shower spread half way across the bathroom, and bathroom sinks without plugs is something you don't even expect any more in Eastern Europe, let alone New York! The location is great, but in future I'd choose somewhere a bit less central but close to a subway station where you'd get more bang for your buck and still have a convenient way of getting around town Les mer

The family was very satisfied with this hotel during our NYC stay. It was very close to central part but with some distance to keep the noise down when sleeping. The beds could be a little bit wider since we stayed 4 (2+2, family) persons in the room. I guess the doubble queen size beds where approx 130 cm wide but the information did state 140 cm. […] This was not a problem for us but for bigger people it might be!? But overall..... Good location; very clean. The air conditioning wasn't functioning so good

Super easy check-in. Incredible sculptures in the lobby. Room was large by New York standards and very clean. Right next to Grand Central -- very easy to hop a subway and get anywhere you need to go. The first night there was complimentary cheese, crackers, nuts and pear in the room -- I don't know if this is the norm or if I got lucky. Also the fridge […] was stocked with complimentary beverages -- I wasn't charged for the water and the soda I drank. The king size bed was very comfortable. A touch light switch by the bed shuts off all lighting in the room with just a touch of your hand and the same switch can raise or lower the room temperature without having to get out of bed. Very satisfied. Didn't have to pack a toothpaste they supplied that as well. Overall, very much, better than expected. Les mer

For the price that we paid for the hotel, I thought that the room and service were just very mediocre. The location is great, it is right across the street from Grand Central and is connected via passageway so it was a great deal of help to access the subway during the rain. The room was very small and when we checked in we were deceived. Initially, […] I booked a grand King room and when we checked in the receptionist confirmed with us that it was a King bed, but when we got to the room we did question the size of the bed. My husband and I kept saying that it was a really small King. It turned out to the a Queen bed but we didn't find out until check out. What a disappointment. The cleanliness of the room was questionable. The carpet was not vacuumed. The staff did let us borrow an umbrella for the rain outside, which was pretty nice. Overall, I felt like I could have got the same room and service from a 3 star hotel across town. Nothing special. Les mer

We checked in on Saturday for our anniversary trip and when we got in the room , the bathroom was disgusting ... there was hair on the floor and dead flies in the tub. When my wife called the front desk they first said that room was cleaned and there shouldn't be any hair or dead flies. My wife asked them to come check it out for them selves .. they […] said that they will move us to a different room. The person just knocked on the door and handed me the keys without sayibg a word and did not help us with our laggauge. When i asked what room we are going to. He just pointed on the key card.we asked frint desk to change our bed sheets, it was never done. Worst experience ever. Will not recommend it to any one ... Les mer

I loved that it was next to Grand Central Station. Very convenient to using Subway system to get around NYC. We also were very pleased at the great price for a 4 star Hotel in NYC. This Hotel decor is very Modern and that was a pleasant change from other hotels I have stayed at in NYC.

The guys outside were extremely nice. Helped with the bags. When I told them it was my birthday they baggage handler said he was having champagne sent up twice and it never showed. There were no washclothes in our room. One of the towels seemed used. At 11:00 we were on at the bar and would have like a light snack and the only thing available was deli […] food. I've always wanted to stay at the Hyatt but the truth be told I've stayed at much better hotels in the city with better accomodations. Les mer

Every employee we interacted with was courteous and helpful. Makes your stay enjoyable.Location was great and had a quiet room.

The Hyatt might be a bit more then pricey then other places around town, but we sure thought it was worth the extra. I was told that the building with Trumps first building in Manhattan and when you take a close look you can still see signs of "Trump-ness" about the place. Can't wait to return.

The best hotel I've ever stayed at period. The entire staff was so helpful from the check in to the last day we stayed. I loved the personal touch that the staff had w/ my twins & I. I told them that I'll be back and would be hard pressed to stay anywhere else. The cleanliness of the room to the location to Grand Central it couldn't have been any better!! […] It made the trip more relaxing & enjoyable than even I could have imagined. Very impressed with Grand Hyatt. Great room overlooking the Chrysler Building so we were lucky there. All staff very helpful. Great service.Room and bath room very clean and well equipped. Excellent location between Grand Central Terminus and Chrysler Building and close to other sights.

Overall, the hotel is very nice and in a great location. The only thing I didn't like was that there is no door on the bathroom. Not sure if it was intentional or not.

Stayed here for 2 nights last weekend. Negatives: not NEARLY enough staff at check-in counter. They compensate with express check-in kiosks, but on this night, few were able to actually check-in with them. So a very long, SLOW, line quickly developed. This was problematic for us because we had theater tickets and less than an hour before curtain. Once […] we finally made it to the front of the line, the beleaguered, exhausted clerk was very courteous. I noticed line at check-in persisted throughout our entire stay. Also, our room was hot, despite the individual thermostat in the room. Positives: modern decor, surprisingly quiet for being at Grand Central Station, QUICK service. Had issues with the room safe and they fixed it within 5 minutes. Overall, the hotel has some minor issues, but the staff is world class. Les mer

The shower curtain is smelly after gets wet; it should be changed much often. The large rain shower head might be good for some people but with very low water presure.
