It was worth every penny. The rooms, view, pool, beach etc. and were beautiful. The staff was very friendy and very helpful.

We wanted a hotel on the beach with a balcony. Not that easy to find. This was perfect. The spa was absolutely wonderful and all the staff were very pleasant to deal with. The food we had was good and we loved the pool bar. Very lively.

This is a fine place if you are over 65 and looking to play golf and eat mediocre food in a generic boring resort environment. Nothing much to do and the town is over developed to the point of disgust.

Best vacation in 10 yrs ! Great weather did help- Drank coffee walking on beach everymorning-played RTJ golf course with discounts from Hotel. Quizine is fantastic ! I plan to go again.

Since this hotel is on island, you are limited to eating in hotel or nearby alexander restaturant. Unless you go out of island travel to malls and tanger outlets. This is good hotel stay. Ordered a glass of hot milk and was charged although I stayed in an expensive room for 3 nights

I booked an Ocean View room on Hotels.com. I was given a room on level 1 which is one floor below the lobby. In order to see the Ocean you would need to cut down the trees outside the room. The charge for Internet is $12.95 per day and $10 for parking outdoors.This Hotel thinks entirely too much about themselves.

We visited the resort in February 2012 - definitely off season. The location was great and the view of the ocean were marvelous. The quality of the room interior was adequate - other than a very dated television. Our only real complaint was the exterior of the hotel. It looks a little beaten by the weather. We stared out of our balcony to a dilapidated […] deck below us. The exterior looks a little worn. I am not sure if the hotel makes these types of fixes before the busy season gets rolling or not. Overall, we had a very pleasant visit but the building itself looks a little beat down. Les mer

Wonderful! Already thinking about planning a return trip!

My husband and I were very pleased with this Marriott hotel! The hotel was very clean, the staff was very friendly, and the location was just perfect for shopping, dining and sightseeing. My only complaints would be that the televisions in the rooms are very old (every time we would change the channel we would have to adjust the volume), you have to […] pay for internet, and some of the cocktails at the bar are over priced ($13 for a cherry spritzer???). Chilly December may not be the best time for a visit to Hilton Head Island, but Marriott made it a very comfortable stay. This hotel came highly recommended through Hotels.com as well as other sites and family I have in Hilton Head, so I decided to book my stay here. I was immediately impressed by the friendliness of everyone I encountered upon arrival! […] The Valet and bell hop were both very courteous, and immediately notified the front desk who greeted me by name as I walked up. Check-in went very smooth, and our ocean view room was ready when we arrived. I am a bit picky when it comes to hotel cleanliness, and thoroughly inspected the room to find everything just right. Even the temp of the room was perfect! The amenities at this resort fulfill virtually any desire, and the service from everyone.... Impeccable! The only things I can say that I was disappointed in here was: 1. The TV was old school box on the dresser with a very worn remote. A hotel of this caliber just having a recent renovation should be sporting a nice flat panel! 2. The alarm clock radio was broken (no radio function) 3. Pay movies?! I'm staying at a Marriott.... Those should be free. 4. If you are someone who self parks and handles your own luggage, unload at the door, THEN park. There is no elevator in the garage, and it is a slight hike from the garage to the entrance. Now, more good about this property. You can definitely tell that the folks who work here are proud to do what they do, and employees can make or break any business! These guys are the best! If you have never been to Hilton Head, it is a different world. Get out and explore while you are here! This resort is almost dead center of the island, providing a great base to check things out from. You will find some of the BEST seafood restaurants tucked away in the least likely places on Hilton Head. Go, eat, and worry about your diet when you get home! Went to Hilton Head for a couple of days to play golf and go fishing. It was "off season" and was really nice and quiet. The hotel was great as was the services. Loved staying there. Had everything we needed and golf right there.

This was our third consecutive year staying at the Hilton Head Marriott Spa and Resort and we're ready to reserve again for this time next year. We're going to go for the entire Spa package, too, as a special treat for me and my 3 sisters. We always enjoy the delicious lunches at the poolside bar and grill. We really enjoyed the Marriott Hilton Head. The restaurants were wonderful, the service was great, the pool area was perfect for laying about, and the ocean was literally right outside our window. We sprung for the ocean view room and couldn't have been happier. The hotel is a little older, but who cares when you can lay in bed and watch the sun rise […] over the ocean every morning? We would definitely recommend the Marriott at Hilton Head! Les mer

The hotel was first rate and location to the beach was terrific. At night the beach is dark so the sea turtles aren't disturbed...also no music from the cabana area & bar which detracts a bit from the festive atmosphere in the evening. We liked our stay and will come back again.

The room was nice. The hotel is what you would come to expect from the Marriott but the room did not receive proper attention from the maid. There was a coffee doily under the chair, old gum under the bed and the table on the balcony was very dirty. That made me wonder about everything else.

The hotel was excellent. The staff went above and beyond. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

We had a fantastic experience - from check-in, to the room, to the beach, to the room service (and wine list) and through breakfast... it was all a 'do over' for us!

Service was amazing. We changed our room due to noise from a/c unit and they could not have been more helpful even following up with a phonecall to see if we were happy. Resort is 10 miles from mainland so you have to travel some distance to get to shops.

My boyfriend and I decided on a spur of the moment vaycay to hilton head. Booked the hotel at 4pm on friday and showed up at 9 pm that night. Stayed two days. Everything about it was awesome. We never had to leave the hotel for food or drinks. Everything we ate was delicious and the portions sizes were generous. Service was incredible. THIS HOTEL WAS THE BEST! All--All the hotels Staff were wonderful, very helpful,thoughtful and willing to give their full attention to each person there. My wife and I chose this resort as a last minute trip for our anniversary. We where a little aprehensive about our late arrival, and having to check out at 11am. NO PROBLEM! Marvin at the front desk gave us til 3pm to check out and we where shown to a beautiful room with a great view of the ocean! This was our first trip to Hilton Head. It is breathtakingly beautiful. Great place for smaller kids to play at the beach. I sent my mother to the Marroitt's spa for the afternoon for some indulgence while the kids and I hit the beach. There is something for everyone. The hotel has a great indoor pool which was the most important aspect in choosing […] a place to stay. One never knows what Mother Nature will bring in Spring on the coast. We spent the extra money to book an ocean view and were disappointed. Our room was on the second floor in a wing that was perpendicular to the beach. We had a view of the outdoor pool area, the roof of the indoor pool, and only brief glimpses of the ocean through the trees. You should also know there is a daily charge for internet access and a daily […] charge for parking, so consider that when you see the rates. Service was great -- the housekeeping crew came immediately when I called to complain about the toilet having mold under the rim that I noticed when I dropped something on the floor. They thoroughly cleaned the entire bathroom. When we were awakened at three a.m. by four men drinking/yelling/swearing on the balcony below ours, I called the desk and it was handled immediately. This was our 2nd time back and we LOVED it, again! The all inclusive deal - where you get dinner and breakfast tickets with your room - is WORTH it! The food is delicious and the staff is friendly! We will be back! (Try the she crab soup if they still have it... yummy!)

After our visit to the Marriott Hotel and Resort on Hilton Head Island, we are planning many return trips. The hotel staff is courteous, friendly and attentive. The property is immaculate and extremely relaxing and the location is beautiful. The spa personel are exceptional at making you feel welcome and important. Our experience could not have been […] better. This was a stay that we had hoped for. Even though we live on the coast only 2.5 hours north, we consider this our personal getaway. the hotel was great the resturant Conroy's was a bit disappointing service was a bit off and so was the food.

Our stay was very nice for Christmas. The staff was very courteous and the hotel was more than we expected. They have both an inside and outside pool. Our room was very clean and the food was great. Would definitely go back there again!

The room was especially comfortable, the meeting room (set for over 100) was EXACTLY as we ordered....and very comfortable for the attendees. The coffee services was beautiful...nice to have my clients met with such perfection.

Had a wonderful time.. everything was in mint condition. Staff was friendly at all times and very accommodating. The only downside of our stay was having to pay $10 a day for parking and for internet service. The hotel costs enough money to stay and it is well worth it, but I don't think we should have to pay for parking..you stay in a cheaper hotel […] and you don't pay a dime for parking or internet services. Lovely hotel, friendly helpful staff. We booked an ocean view room, but when I checked in we were on the first floor with only a view of the pool. I called the front desk and inquired if something else was availabe, and were promptly given a room on the third floor, and they even sent someone to us to give us our new keys and take the old. The room […] was very comfortable and clean, the restaurants were very good. Direct access to the beach. My only complaint was having to pay to self park, 10 dollars a day. I guess its to discourage people not staying at the hotel from parking there for beach access, but still. Also the room only had a glass shower stall and no tub. Otherwise, a great visit and would definately return. Les mer

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Marriot. Everyone was friendly and very helpful. We would definitely stay here again if we visit.

We had a fabulous vacation at this Marriott. The hotel is a bit and older and could use some exterior/interior upgrades but everything was spotless, the location was perfect (right on the beach) and the staff was amazing. We'll definitely be back in the spring when the weather warms again!

The staff ws excellent, they always smiled and greeted as they passed by, opened doors, etc. The free gift of the day at the concierge was a Marriott stamped coffee travel mug every day - we decided it was to get you down there so they could tell you about the new timeshares the would be glad to give you an appointment for. The rooms were clean, after […] I left a note in Spanish I got some extra coffee from housekeeping (didnt' work in English). The valet lost my keys briefly but overall it was a great stay. It's right on the beach, and the outdoor pool is heated!! Adequate pool furniture, towels, nice light food and beverages poolside. I saw a review where someone said it was 40 years old and showing it's age. Knowing that, I paid attention and looked around. The only thing was that it had textured ceiling in the room, and the sink was inside the bathroom making it less convenient. Everything else was top notch!! Les mer

The oceanfront location is great and is what we were looking for, however, it's cost is higher than we normally spend on a room. It has one of the best beach locations on Hilton Head Island.

Great 4-night family vacation at this hotel which exceeded our expectations. Received room upgrade at check-in and hotel provided excellent customer service in all areas of resort (including children activities). Only negative (minor) would be the pool chair reserving that starts at 7am.

The Marriott Hilton Head Golf Resort is a true gem on the island. I can't say enough good things about the staff. They made us feel like every person there was driven to assure our stay was excellent - and it was. I highly recommend an ocean-front room. The view of the ocean and the pool-area is outstanding. The location of this hotel is very convenient […] (mid-island) to all other areas. The pool deck is clean (though, watch out - lots of "squatters" for beach-chairs) and right on the beach. The bar on the beach is very fun. It is a very family-oriented place with activities for the kids, daily. We don't have children (note: there are lots of kids - so, you will need to be tolerant of them) but, were happy to see families having fun. With an ocean-front room, you see the gorgeous sunrise each day from your personal balcony. We really enjoyed our stay and will be going back again, and again. Les mer

The front desk folks were extremely helpful and pleasent. The room was amazing with an increadible view. If I'm ever back in Hilton Head, I am definently coming back.
