Even though this hotel is under construction, we received fabulous service from the staff! The woman who checked us in was quick, courteous and informative. My partner and I enjoyed our stay and would stay there again!

Our room in this hotel was very comfortable and the service was outstanding. There are some inconviences due to the construction. The pool could use some work but they should be renovating it soon.

With the ongoing renovation/construction, it's a little hard to really rate this hotel. I still think it is absurd that in the year 2012, some hotels still charge for wireless internet access- as this hotel does. On the positive side, if you have the option of upgrading to a room above "standard", the executive level is quite luxurious.

it's time for this hotel to get renovate & upgrade. It was under WIP, so might be a little noisy in the day time, but overall it's still fine, just the detour of hotel entrance will be a little complicate now.

The hotel was under renovation but the signs helped find where things were located. Two of the restaurants were gone but luckily there are so many restaurants nearby that it didn't matter as much. Very clean and comfortable room. The only thing that was a little weird that the tv didn't have a lot of channels.

Noce hotel, good location, but under construction. I wish I had known! Only 1 restaurant, and while the service was good, the food was not.

We've now hit double digits in the number of times we've stayed at this hotel. The hotel is undergoing a major renovation, but I'm complaining as the rooms are drastically improved and the staff was very accomodating in their service. Great price, great location, great hotel...we'll be back!

Unfortunately, the hotel renovations made my stay mostly unpleasant. I was in town for a presentation that was cancelled due to the snow storm, so I had to work in my hotel room for the day. The construction noise was unbearable-- incredibly loud and nonstop. I called the front desk to see what could be done, and was given a simple "I'm sorry but there's […] nothing we can do." I called about an hour later since I was unable to do work (could not take client calls) and asked if there was a business center or another space where I could work. I was finally put in touch with the front desk manager, who was much more sympathetic and apologetic about the situation. He came to my room and moved me to another room which was somewhat quieter. While I was very pleased with how he handled the situation, I am shocked that the hotel keeps guests in rooms right near the construction when there are other available rooms- and that a designated business center was not available since guests could not comfortably work in most areas of the hotel. I'd be happy to return once construction is complete, but I think that hotels.com should indicate if construction is taking place at the time the reservation is made. Les mer

Nice job renovating but the work continues during the day creating a cacophony of drilling. Otherwise a good choice.

Nice sized rooms. Clean hotel- restroom in hotel room could be cleaner (I'm a neat freak!) Breakfast was delicious! Great location- close to alot of main Twin cities hot spots. Overall great stay!

Everything was great however the location is under construction and I really wanted to sleep in on one of the days and it was very loud (even on the 11th floor) by 9am. This was quite disappointing.

We have stayed here every December for the last 8 years. Usually good service not so much this time.Check-in was terrible. We were not told hotel under going a renovation. Some noise. The only real dinner resteraunt moved New Years day. Went to check-out there was no lobby. We had to search for it. Stay away.

Great hotel at a great price. We spent New Years weekend with friends and had a great time. This hotel has everything we needed, bar ( a special THANK YOU to Andre for the excellent service) and restaurant onsite, pool and fitness room, on the edge of downtown so close to everything and the rooms are quiet and very comfortable. The breakfast buffet […] has an excellent selection and the service was very good. The rooms are starting to look dated but they are remodeling starting this year. Parking is in an attached ramp for an extra charge but that's common for all hotels downtown. Overall very happy and will be staying again in the future. Les mer

Nice room. Clean and about what you would expect. No hot water for shower in the evening. The hotel is under renovation and work begins at 8am so there is no sleeping in! Not impressed. Still waiting for the free night they promised us.

The Hyatt Regency Minneapolis has comfortable, spacious rooms and is conveniently located within walking distance of many restaurants, lounges, and professional sports venues. The hospitality extended by hotel staff was extraordinary. We will definitely stay there again.

Taxxis is great for breakfast. Would definitely recommend. The rooms need an upgrade. Bathroom was old and fixtures were not easy to operate. The staff is great. They are extremely helpful and courteous.

Hyatt room was not well maintained. LOTS of dust. Mentioned upon check out and got a hmmm. Sorry. Really???

I was dropped off by friends and it took me a while to understand the layout of the hotel and even finr the reception desk!

This is nowhere near a 4 star hotel but rather closer to 2 or 2+1/2 stars- at most! The hotel needs a major renovation and almost everything is showing it's age. The carpet in the hallways is warped, worn and bubbling up everywhere, plus it didn't look like it had been vacuumed in the past several days. And the room was even worse. The edges of the […] wood furniture was all chipped and beat up, with dust, dirt & hairs in all the cracks and joints. There was even a fingerprint of mayonnaise on the front edge of the desk and an "oiled" handprint on the back of the leather desk chair. The carpet also hadn't been vacuumed. The bathroom fixtures are still the original ones from the 1970's and the tile in the shower looks very old and chipped. I chose a more expensive reservation which was supposed to include free wifi, one bottle of water per day, breakfast for two and a morning newspaper. The front desk person at check-in said that I wasn't eligible for the free wifi and charged me every day. The free bottle of water wouldn't be possible even though they offered bottles of water in the room for a charge. I never received a newspaper during my stay and the included breakfast was a credit large enough for only one person per day. I also didn't like walking around the hotel at night since I didn't feel very safe in the neighborhood. This might have been a nice hotel 20 years ago, but not much has changed since then. Les mer

All in all, a very nice stay. Nice beds and clean... Only problem as that we had to wait for our "room to become available due to housecleaning) (And this was already at 4:00pm in the afternoon! Sooo....). Otherwise, a nice place to stay and centrallly located around many places to eat, visit.

As far as the hotel goes, it was a super good place to stay. However, Hotel.com did not follow throygh with what we were told we were getting. We wanted 3 smoking rooms .. was told we had 3 smoking rooms ,, complete smoke free hotel. We were told there was a refrigerater .. there was not one. We were told there was a microwave .. there was not one. […] We were told a breadfast was included .. it was not. Les mer

Great hotel overall. The only issue was that they didn't have the rooms. They had over booked. Had to change what rooms we were provided, and only honored two included breakfasts. It should have had two per room. They were polite and courteous. They did resolve the issue of rooms, but it took more waiting than I felt appropriate since the bill was paid […] in advance. Les mer

Located in the downtown area. The hotel was a quick train ride and bus transfer away. Transit system here is great. Cost of trip to the hotel from the airport is minimal. We did get caught up with the crowd going to a twins game as the light rail passes stops not only in downtown, but also the Metrodome, Target field, and the Mall of America. Nicolett […] Mall has a ton of places to eat, but don't be afraid to venture out as the are many eateries. Great public bicycle system. Worth the effort. Les mer

the hotel and staff were fantastic. the only thing i could think of that might help was to have a shuttle to and from the airport. other than that it was a very pleasant and nice stay. everything was within walking distance including places to eat and shop.

Not only is the hotel clean but, it has a friendly and hospitable staff. It location is great in that it is part of the Nicollet Mall, Downtown sight seeing, and much more!

I found the property to be very nice as well as the staff. I would recommend it to others, BUT would advise against getting room service or eating in the bar. We were late arriving the first night and had no choice but room service which was pretty mediocre (you just expect that), but had another late night and tried the pizza. AWFUL! If I wasn't so […] exhausted I would've sent it back, but didn't want to go through the hassle. Bar food was VERY mediocre as well. Had sliders - terrible presentation and slightly burnt. The staff was nice enough. Breakfast buffet was included with the room. Not bad, but first day they had very inept omelet cook who was unable to ever get an egg white omleet for me. Second day cook was much more capable. Rest of buffet was fine. Les mer

Everyone was so helpful and kind. It was refreshing to have that kind of service!!

The service in, and location of, this hotel were superb. The bathrooms are tiny and cramped, but the room was spacious and had good beds. Nobody told me ahead of time, but you can take the light rail train from the airport to 5th and Nicollet for $1.75 and then a free bus to the hotel at 10th and Nicollet. I spent over $40 on a taxi.

Good overnight hotel; with European standards not very luxurious but clean and very good training facilities

The staff was very helpful and friendly. Rooms were really clean and smelled nice and the bed was very comfortable. Bathroom was a little small, but that is the only thing negative I have to say. Would love to stay there again. Sherry

Room is dirty and uncomfortable. It was the worst hotel I've use. Gym is closed to early.

This was a last minute trip for us to Minneapolis. The location was great and self-park was easy. We were able to get to various areas of both Minneapolis and St. Paul with relative ease. The rooms were very clean and seemed like they were recently redecorated. Just minor items: the mattress definately needed to be updated as there were hills and valleys […] in it; the tub/shower area was outdated and didn't match the rest of the room; and the price of our room included the breakfast buffet, but there is on buffet on weekdays so when we thought we could go down and get a quick bite we would have had to order a la carte items off the menu. Other than that the staff was very nice and accomodating and we'd stay there again. Les mer

Staff were very friendly and informative. great place to stay if you want access to inside walk way. Room comfortable and great view of downtown. Restaurant was excellent.
