"close to airport for early morning flight"
Room was adequate and clean except for top of coffee maker. Service was fine except the front desk forgot to give us our 4:30 am wake up call.

"Great Airport Hotel"
I only stayed one night to be close to the Airport for a 7.00am flight the next day, but this was ideal for that purpose. Reception staff were very helpful and efficient. Room was comfortable and clean. I booked a 5.00am shuttle to airport and that was on time and got me to the airport in under 10 minutes. Breakfast was advertised as starting at 5.00am […] but it looks like some things were out before then so I could have probably had a coffee and snack before the shuttle. Hotel is located on a road that has shops and restaurants (but an odd selection of shops Western clothing, army surplus etc) and the hotel has its own bar. By staying at the hotel yopu get 10% off a nearby seafood restaurant (5 mins walk) that was OK. Les mer

This hotel was clean and safe, and the staff was very friendly. It's not terribly convenient to downtown because of traffic--it's by the airport--but for the price it was great. On this trip I actually saw or stayed at three different hotels: one was cheap and in an unsafe neighborhood, one was upper-mid-priced and downtown, and the third was this one, […] mid-priced and at the airport. Short drive to just about everything. Easy access from the freeway. Good restaurants nearby. Room was clean and comfortable. Great value for a business traveler like me. Would definitely stay again

the first thing i would say was that staff were vey nce but the batheoom had no ventilation so every time i took a shower, it got so humid and wet all over. we had to have our room cleaned everyday because more than half of our towels we received were all placed on the floor. then, even though my room was surpose to be non smoking, it smelled like cigarettes […] constantly for the whole four nights i was in neworleans. "Don't stay here if you want to get any sleep"
The first night a large group staying in the hotel had a party out in the parking lot until late at night followed by much noise and door slamming in the hallway outside of our room. Hotel management was not concerned. The second night there were multiple groups of high school kids staying in the hotel and we were fortunate enough to be on the floor […] with kids who backed up and overflowed the toilet in their room. Hotel maintenance spent hours with a very loud shop vac until after midnight trying to get all of the water out of the carpet before it started to flood other rooms. We complained upon checkout but could not be refunded any money because we had prepaid our stay though hotels.com. We will NEVER stay in this hotel again! Les mer

I would like to say Kim was very friendly and took 3 of us to a local restaurant which not many do. The beds was a litte too soft for my liking. Other than that every thing was fine.

"NO FRESH AIR"
all the hotels in the U.S. have the same problem when it comes to ventilation, they recur to A/C and Heat only with no fresh air source, add to this carpet, a retainer of dirt and odors, and you have a stinking bomb! the room that I stayed had windows but they had a special lock and the GM would not allow to open them.

The hotel was in a great location. Plenty to do in the area and convenient to plenty of restaurants and within minutes of downtown New Orleans. The only negative was that the room was not as clean as it should have been upon check in. found several items from the previous person who stayed in this room.

The Hotel was great except they gave me a King bed when I ordered a double, but right accross from the Airport and the kids loved watching the airplains, land and take off

The staff was very friendly. The cleaning service was very professional. The drive to the French Quarter is about 20mins from this location, so not too bad. Although if you are going during Mardi Gras, which we did, I would definitely suggesting staying closer to downtown. Driving down there is a pain during Mardi Gras.

We when to New Orleans for Mardi Gras 2012 and I had booked the La Quinta hotel based off recommendation on hotels.com. The La Quinta Inn was conveniently located a few blocks away from the airport on Williams Blvd. There are alot of amenities in that area and the I10 is an intersection away that can take you to downtown New Orleans. The room was […] reasonably clean, however it did smell a bit funny when we first entered the room. The smell did dissipate later on. The washroom was clean and the bathtub was reasonable clean, however it did look a bit dingy from years of use. Their continental breakfast wasn't much to look at or enjoy. I had expected more based upon my stay at other hotels that offered a continental breakfast, but was sadly disappointed with their selection. All they really had was a waffle maker (with batter you pour yourself) coffee, tea, cereal, mini muffins and hard boiled eggs set on a bed of ice?!? There wasn't much nutrition that you could get out of their continental breakfast that gave you the fuel/enery needed to start your day. Thank God for the IHOP that was located down the street. I have stayed at this hotel Before. It is clean and has a wonderful Staff. They are all very helpful. Only a short distance from my workplace. Good food available only a short distance away. This stay was for 7 Days. Breakfast is the usual waffles cereal etc. Had to request a microfridge but it arrived within minutes of my check-in and request. The staff are so helpful and friendly! They went above and beyond my expectations with service. The bus stop was right outside to catch a ride to Canal street for a trolley ride. The facilities were well maintained and very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious, too. Awesome value! Thank you!

All levels of staff were very helpful, from the desk clerk to the personnel at breakfast. We got advice from nearby dining and entertainment to how the waffle iron works! We were just looking for a bed for the night, but we got much more.

I was in town for the BCS National Championship game and was lucky to find a room at this hotel as everything within a 10 mile radius was sold out for the weekend. Upon booking the hotel I booked a King planning on going alone but a friend ended up riding with me for the trip. When we arrived at noon we had to hang out for a little while before check-in […] at 3pm. During this time we chatted with the awesome front desk staff for a while. When it came time to check in I asked if they happened to have a double available and explained the circumstances. They said no but put us into the suite instead! Best trip ever, if I am ever in NOLA again i'd have no hesitation staying at this La Quinta or recommending someone else to say there. Oh and Roll Tide Roll! Les mer

"Comfortable but smelly and dirty"
I stayed here on a short business trip and was a little disappointed. It was very competitive on price but the room I stayed had a smell that sort of hit you when you walked in. Also, the bed sheets weren't the cleanest as I found hair in both beds. Next time I'll probably pay a little more and stay somewhere else.

Of course, this is simply a place to stay when you need to be close to the MSY Airport. A taxi from the airport to La Quinta cost $16. From La Quinta to the French Quarter cost $33. Hotel is located at a very convenient location close to the New Orleans (MSY), LA airport. The rate is very affordable. The hotel is in great shape with a comfortable nice room. I totally recommend this hotel.
