Overall good except I was right next to an elevator at the JW Marriot which made it impossible to sleep those three night then moved to Marriot and finally got a chance to sleep until cleaning crew knocked repeatly on the door at 9 am. You would think they would have a list of guest who have already checked out.

This hotel had outstanding service. Top notch, convenient location, access to the French Quarter is easy and highway is down the street. Highly recommend the river view rooms on the upper levels!

This is a great location, but room not as nice as you would expect for the price. It was jazz fest weekend so it was more expensive than usual. However I have stayed here before in the other tower for a lot less money (about $150 less per night) and the room was nicer than the one I had this trip.

ALL THE THINGS IN THE ROOM WERE TOO SMALL, BATHROOM, COFFE MAKER. AT NIGHT VERY NOISY, I THINK THE ELEVATORS MAKE A LOT OF NOISE. IN THE OTHER HAND WE LIKE YOUR RESTAURANT.

Surprisingly no bar within the room (no bottle of water available). Wall pretty thin and could hear at 2:am the neighbours having an argument (security was fast enough to arrive and stop them). price too high in regards to the general aspect and comfort of the room (staying at an Holiday Inn would have been a better choice and maybe better service for […] around the same price). Can't beat the location. All of the staff go out of their way to be accommodating and helpful. My main complaint is the room itself...very small and nothing special for the very high price we paid. It was called a "deluxe" room, but I've stayed in better, larger rooms at a Motel 6. The beds are very comfortable, but be warned that if you like a very […] firm mattress you probably won't like these beds. The hallways spelled old and moldy. Love the elevator system and the fabulous lobby. For the price they charge there should definitely be free wi fi in the rooms...big disappointment. Les mer

Location was awesome, it is in the middle of all the action and walking to bourbon st was a breeze. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. Parking was a little overpriced...

Our room was ok but when it was time to leave they kept taking the money from my bank account then put it back in. It through everything off cause of their mistakes

Great location on Canal Street and Chartres, can step right out into Quarter or to the streetcar service. Easy walking distance to other neighborhoods including CBD and Lower Garden District. Full-service hotel with all possible amenities, and good restaurant "555". Fantastic river view from rooms, if on the river side of the River tower.

Concierge was terrible. When I asked for a breakfast suggestion for Sunday, she said ,"I don't know". Showed no interest, she seemed to be bothered just to be asked a question. Normally Marriott is very good, but will never go to Marriott in NOLA again. In fact, the next day concierge was not that much better.

Hotel was clean and staff was very polite and helpful. Valet parking was very convienient. Very close to Jackson square and Bourbon street. Will book here next time in New Orleans.

Right on Canal Street, the Marriott is close to everything. After a 15 minute walk, we were in the heart of the French Quarter. It took 10 minutes by foot to get to the World War II Museum. The room is comfortable and the hotel staff is friendly and quick to respond to requests. I did not like the modern elevator system where you had to input your floor […] number, and if 5-6 floors are pressed in the lobby, you could end up in an elevator with 15 people and their luggage or have to wait longer for another elevator. Great hotel, great location, great service. Only issue is that wi-fi is not free in the bedrooms. It should be given the rates charged for the rooms.

Great location near restaurants but that's NO. Rooms are clean and good water pressure. Average room. Nothing special. Don't get near the elevator- sounds like a freight train coming through with every passenger.

Nice older Marriott. Very small bathroom with low shower water pressure. Housekeeping was a bit below par on responsiveness, but did a good job overall. Web access is daily fee but very fast. 5 Fifty 5 restaurant serves excellent food. Intelligent elevator system is fast, fun to use. Good location if walking city. Street car access super handy. Doormen […] are incredibly nice and very knowledgeable. River views from upper floors (25 and above) are super. Would stay here again...but NOT during Spring Break. Les mer

My stay was excellent with the exception that the ventilation fan is a little to loud. But excellent in regards to the in-room dinning. The food was excellent and I love the fact that you can order late.

I expected the room to be a little bigger, but the staff was friendly and it was in the best possible location to the Quarter and especially Bourbon Street.

The hotel itself was very nice, as far as our room and the price we paid, I was not happy with it. We had family that stayed across the street that had a much nicer room and paid half what we did. Our bathroom was small, not enough towells and washrags for our guest, had to call housekeeping. The sink in the bathroom leaked at the top which kept the […] counter wet. No garbage bags in the room just the cans. Over all an ok room, but very dissatisfied. Les mer

It was a nice place to stay! But it wasn't great or excellent like u would think wen u think of a Marriott! I was dissapointed there was no fridge in room for 250$ a night I should have a fridge! And the first women I checked in with was rude and she also sent me to a room that wasn't done! The second lady was very helpful and nice.

Stayed here during Mardi Gras 2013. It was a great location. Some of the parades go right by the hotel, although to get the best viewing spots, it's better to walk up to St. Charles than to stay on Canal Street. It's a very short walk to Bourbon Street and anywhere else in the French Quarter for that matter. Parking is expensive. Free wifi in the lobby. […] The rooms are clean and the beds are comfy. I am a New Orleans native and I return to this hotel every year for Mardi Gras. The location cannot be beat. The hotel runs smoothly during this very busy time. All of the staff are friendly and accommodating - first rate. We stayed here on the Fri of Mardi Gras weekend. We were given armbands to allow us access the hotel. It is on Canal Street, so that front door was closed and we had to use the Motor Court entrances. Check in was prompt and efficient. We were asked if we wanted to upgrade our room so we could see parades out our window, but since we'd already paid $300+, […] we didn't want to spend $60 more. As it was, we could see the end of the parade routes out our 11th floor window. The room was 2 double beds, and very nice. Coffee maker, toiletries, nice TV. However, our room backed up to the elevators which ran all night and sounded like thunder in the room. We didn't ask to be moved because we assumed the entire hotel was full of Mardi Gras people. We needed a taxi to the cruise pier on Sat morning, and it wasn't clear that we had to ask a bellhop to get us one. He had to go a block away, out the motor court to the next block away from Canal and still had trouble getting somebody to stop, probably due to Mardi Gras parade closures. I hated my hotel experience. The room was super small, the shower head of the bathtub was way to big for the tub. It felt like I was standing outside in a storm and the air wasn't working. I stayed for two days they didn't fix the air until the next day. So I would say that my overall hotel experience at the Mariott was not pleasing at all.

I stayed from 2/10/2013 to 2/14/2013. It was great. I have stayed at this hotel before and would stay here again. The 4 people ( 1 handicapped ) in my party had a great time. Close to everything.

This hotel doesn't have sufficient parking spaces. They sent me to a " remote" parking 7 blocks away! I was expecting more from Marriott

One complaint. Could not park at hotel for two days do to not enough parking. Should have a parking spot for each guest. So, we had to pay an outrageous amount for parking another lot till there was room for us to park at the hotel.
