Ramada Inn Bangor - Bangor

Hotel was extremely nice...considering the hotel I had just left. That hotel had no heat. This hotel had plenty of heat...very clean...very comfortable. Pool was nice and staff was friendly.

Perfect little get away for an overnight. Very comfortable, very clean - loved the comfortable bed, pillows and the shower head was terrific!

Booked it, drove in, right off 95. Stayed one night, checked in @ 8, swam in the pool, watched a movie, went to sleep, woke up an left. Served it's purpose and was a clean, safe place to put our heads for the night.

This hotel needs to be gutted and start over. The carpets on the second floor were frightening they were so dirty. The bathroom needs updating from the 1980's tile with no grout left. There is no elevator, and when we asked about help woth bags were told the 'house man' had gone home. Despite the signs advertising a late night club, there was no food […] or drink to be found in the place, except a vending machine that ate our money. I have stayed in many nice Ramada's, the chain needs to be advised to pull this franchise. Les mer

We were very please with our stay at the Ramaha Inn Bangor. The room was very clean also my sister and borther-law saty there and were very please with there room. I would saty there again if ever I'm in Bangor.

We were satisfied with our room. It was clean and the King size bed was very comfortable, although we were not very impressed with the front desk staff ,not friendly at all! A simple Hi, Hello ,Welcome to the Ramada inn would of been sufficient. I think they need to work on their people skills.

That's it, good enough. We went shopping and came back for the pool and bed. Breakfast (restaurant) in the same facility was very convenient. Staff was great.

NICE PLACE TO STAY !!!

Room smelled so bad we had to go out and buy air freshener. Shower did not have enough pressure for water to come of nozzle. Horrible experience. Very expensive for one night and this is what we got!!

Needed a place to stay and the hotel was nice enough. The halls were a little dark but we were able to park only 50 feet from the room door which was good for people with bad knees. Have to say the restaurant had great wait staff. The chocolate cream pie was to die for. So good. Reminded me of Perkins Chocolate Silk pie.

This hotel needs to be upgraded. Everything is very old including carpet. Looks very dirty. Pool is nice but very hot. Too hot to be comfortable in. It was about the same temp. as a hot bath. Just sitting along the side of the pool I was sweating BAD! I would not return

Nice staff, convenient to interstate. Only 1 hour from Bar Harbor

All in all our stay was quite good however, if I had to do it again, I would avoid Saturday evenings. There is a nightclub attached and Saturday evening is "Dance Party" and the club holds well over 200. From 1 am to almost 2 the noise level was quite high. One person actually vomited outside our room to the delight of some people she was with---and […] there was lots of vehicle traffic with horns blowing. Les mer

The only thing that went well during our stay was checking in. It went downhill from there. We specifically asked for a non-smoking room (very important to us as we don't smoke AND we had our children with us.) The reception was very unaccomodating and unapologetic when I called down to ask why we had been put into a smoking room. I had even initialed […] the sign-in paper saying I wouldn't smoke in the room. I had no indication that a non-smoking room wouldn't be available. I was also told at reception that the pool was unavailable until after 8:30pm that night, and that it was 86 degrees. Because our kids are young, we didn't get to use the pool until the morning. At that point, the pool couldn't have been more than 76 or 77 degrees, at most. Also, there didn't seem to be any washrooms connected to the pool area. It wasn't until we were leaving the pool that we stumbled across the ladies change room - down a pitch-black corridor with no signage indicating where it was at all. There were 4 of us staying in the room and yet we were provided with only 2 towels, so I called down to ask for more and it was about 45 minutes before anyone came. The walls were paper-thin and we had the horror of hearing everything the fellow next to us was saying. Finally after 2:30 in the morning, I knocked on the wall and they were quiet. When I expressed my concerns to the front desk on checking out, I got only the most cursory of apologies and no offer of redemption in any form. I will NEVER stay here again, and I could not, in good conscience, recommend this place to anyone! Les mer

During out stay at this hotel, the staff only provided two towels and when asked for more he was rude and said "no". I explained why I wanted more and he still did not budge. I spoke to a female the following day who was very nice and had two more towels delivered to out room. The bathroom was not cleaned throughout our short stay and one day they […] left the dirty face clothes in the tub and did not replenish all of the towels. The sink still had toothpast in it and the tub still had hair in it from our showers ealier that morning. Les mer

We we just staying one night after flying in to Bangor then going to Bar Harbor. The plane was late (1 am) and the hotel paid for a cab from the airport, which picked us up in less than 10 minutes after calling them. The next morning they took us to get our rental car.

I enjoyed the room, except for the pillows which were too thick to be comfortable. Not a good place to stay on a Saturday nite unless you are ready to party. I was awakened throughout the night from people coming in from the bar. I was not expecting that. Beds were comfortable and convenient location. Would stay again if no bar activity!
