Tropicana Inn and Suites - Anaheim

Quiet, clean, and convenient. Right outside the Disneyland gate. No free wifi available, alas, but you can buy it from AT&T for $9.95 per 24 hour period. Very close to McDonald's and IHOP.

It was very comfortable, all that you could want.

Location, location, location! The only negative was the continental breakfast. Very disappointed! I have stayed in a slew of hotels offering continental breakfast and this is by far the worst!

This was the perfect place to stay! Our room was ready when we arrived at Noon, which was a huge bonus! It took all of 5 minutes to walk over to Disneyland and BAM! We were on rides withing 5 more minutes. The room couldn't be cleaner, quieter or more comfortable. It was great. The only drawback is the Continental Breakfast! This is a really nice place. The rooms are kept up and the entire property is very clean; workers are constantly cleaning and sweeping. The beds are some of the best I've had at a motel; I often suffer from insomnia, but I slept perfectly well here. The beds are soft and the pillows were fluffy but also soft. The bathroom was in good working order, […] clean, and also up-to-date. There was a fridge, microwave, coffee maker, and hair dryer in the room, and all were in working order. It is super convenient for getting to Disneyland and there are restaurants very close by to walk to including IHOP, Denny's, McDonald's, Tony Romas, and Mimi's Cafe. Other restaurants within driving distance are just a couple miles away near the stadium. My only complaint is the continental breakfast. It is the worst one I've ever had and I've traveled quite extensively. Milk and cereal WERE NOT even included and had to be purchased. The only items were apples, oranges, danish, packaged donuts, croissants, coffee, and fake orange juice. For the price of the room, there should be a better breakfast with some sort of protein. We ended up eating out all of the days, so that added to the cost of our vacation and time lost sitting in restaurants. Next time, I might premake egg sandwiches to microwave so we do not have to waste time and $$ going out. Les mer

Hotel room was conveniently located, the continental breakfast was not fulfilling. Plan to eat breakfast elsewhere. Overall it was a great experience.

We were disappointed in the continenntal breakfast. Yes, there was fruit (apples, oranges), coffee (only Sweet & Low, no other type of sugar substitute), and danishes/mini doughnuts, but cereal and milk for cereal was at an extra charge. Also, if you are at all on the tall side, make sure that you don't have a handicap room. The hotel was very accommodating, […] though, in switching us to a non-handicap room. Pretty basic stuff but considering the hotel is directly across the street from the entrance to Disneyland and wasn't terribly expensive, my review of the room is pretty positive. The only negative was that the air conditioning unit was more or less just a fan. Other than that, I'd definitely take a room here again.

Tropicana was clean and convenient to Disneyland. Hotel staff friendly and helpful. Wished they would have had more laundry facilities and a better breakfast offered, but beds were comfortable and staff was great. Room very clean and quiet. Will definately stay here again

Was within in walking distance. You crossed the street, walked through the shuttle pickup zone and you were there. Very convenient to not have to move the car. There was a $9 a day +tax parking fee that I didn't see while booking, but that was the only surprise on the bill. The Room had a mini fridge to store snacks and a shower, no tub.

The Front office guy was very helpful .Location couldn't be any better ! its right across the disney entrance .Nothing to write home about the breakfast ,but there are places to go for breakfast within minutes of walking (advice is to get a room only rate)

The two men that were managing the front desk were rude. The one individual that helped me did not make me feel welcomed. He just wanted my credit card to check me in. After driving for 7 hours it would have been nice to have a friendly smile and a warm welcoming. I used this hotel 3 years prior when visiting Disneyland and was very happy with the services. […] To be greeted with attitude and an unwelcoming individual did not help me have a good start to our stay at your hotel. I also witnessed the second front desk individual being rude to another family simply because the family was not English speakers. I would think that since a majority of individuals travel around the world to come to Disneyland that this individual would have been trained to be more welcoming to individuals from foreign countries. I then had to ask the front desk individual to please give me my card key to enter our room since my family was very tired. Instead he wanted to debate with me about what credit card I used to purchase the room and the rates of your parking. I am sorry but your hotel did not make this a pleasant visit to Disneyland for our family. This all occurred on April 5th, Thursday around 5pm or 5:30pm. We are willing to spend time at a different hotel that is further from Disneyland simply based on this experience with your hotel. Please have your front desk individuals be trained appropriately to work with the public. The cleaning crew were wonderful!! No complaint about the cleaning crew at all. The Best hotel in Disneyland area, the parking area is not enought but have free valet parking, the hotel is like a "U" and only have a elevator in one side.

This hotel was clean and convenient. We loved being able to walk across the street and be right at the entrance for Disneyland, California Adventure, and Downtown Disney. The location could not be beat! The rooms are small, without much storage, and a little outdated but for anyone who plans on spending more time at the parks and not much time in your […] room it works just fine. There is a 24 shop right there, each room has a mini-fridge and microwave too. The location was a very short walking distance to the front entrance to Disneyland Park. I was so glad it was so close because at the end of a long, fun day of walking and riding rollercoasters in the sun, I could barely even make it back to the hotel, my legs and feet were dragging. The location is great and would stay there again. The only downside […] was early morning noise out on the street around 8-9 am when I was trying to sleep in until 10. Also, parking was an extra charge of $9.00 per day (self-park or valet), so be aware of that when booking. I will definitely stay there again the next time I go to Disneyland. Les mer

Would stay here again. Nothing too fancy, but comfortable beds, clean room, and you can't beat the walk to all things Disney. Parking was $12 for an extra day, but $15 at Dland... So totally worth it!

I stayed in the King bedroom and I had a balcony. It is fairly new looking, especially since other hotels in the area are more run down. It is literally across the street. Great location, almost across the street from the Disneyland entrance on S. Harbor Blvd. The room was clean and in good condition (believe they were renovated recently). Our room had a very high ceiling, which was an added bonus. Wish they offered free internet/wi-fi. The front desk staff told us that McDonald's nearby offers free wi-fi and I believe […] Mimi's Cafe did as well. This hotel is the best in the area. We have stayed here numerous times and have never been dissapointed. The hotel is literally across the street, 5 minute walk to the gates. The rooms are clean. The pool and spa are fantastic. When all those tired travelers are making their way to a shuttle bus or thier cars, i chuckle knowing my bed is a short walk […] across the street. My family and I go to Disneyland every year and this is the second year that we have stayed here. It's a very close to Disneyland which is nice since we have 2 very young kids, closer to Disney;and than staying at a Disney hotel!! This year, how things have changed. Started with parking, there is now a daily fee for parking 9.00, plus check in time […] is now 4pm not 3pm so they will charge you an early parking fee of 4.50 which is added to your 9.00 fee. There is not enough parking, thank goodness we did not have to move the car or else we would not have a spot when we returned, which I would have been very upset with having to pay 9.00 parking fee plus tax on the 9.00 fee and an attendant fee of .20 and then not being able to park within my hotel parking. Rooms are pretty nice, small but nice for the price. Only thing this time was our toilet leaked bad, all over the bathroom floor, which we told them and they did nothing about and the carpet is gross. I was walking on the carpet in my socks, sat on the bed and I looked at the bottom of my white socks are they were black, pretty gross, but after all it is a hotel where thousands of people stay. I would stay here again because it is so close and hopefully next time our toilet does not leak. Les mer

Closer than 2 of 3 "D" hotels to the entrance gates! Quick and competent staff, VERY clean and comfortable rooms. Clear fireworks view from balcony. GREAT PRICE! ... We will be back!

I had stayed in a few hotles there in Anaheim but this has got to be the best. I will be coming back soon. =)

Excellent location. Just in front of the main gate of Disneyland Park. Comfortable rooms.

The hotel was very nice, the staff amazing. However, we were not notified before check-in that we would need to pay a per car parking fee. The free continental breakfast was terrible! We actully went off site for breakfast. The maid had already entered our room to clean while be were at breakfast, before we checked-out.

We found bed bugs in our hotel room. They moved us rooms but doesn't change the fact that we found bed bugs and potentially brought them home with us. The location was incredible but it didn't make it worth it potentially bring home the bugs. Rooms are very very small. There was no room for a play pen.

The hotel was wonderful and let us park in the lot during the day before checking in. Check in and check out were both a breeze. The room was clean and comfortable and a great place to return to after a long day in the Parks. You can't ask to have a hotel that is any shorter of a walk from Disneyland. Fantastic position to be in being able to walk to Disneyland and Disneyland Adventure. The bus stop out the front is where the LAX shuttle bus goes from which was really handy. Staff were extremely helpful and it was fantastic that they could hold our bags after booking in and out.

Tropicana was a great location for visiting Disneyland, its right across the street and just a short walk. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and the rooms were very clean and comfortable. I will recommend this to all my friends and we will definitly stay there again on our next trip to disneyland.

My family has stayed in this hotel many times. It is across from Disneyland's entrance so we walk and don't need to drive the car. As my kids have grown up, I only go down with my daughter now. We feel very safe even when we close the park at midnight!! The rooms are comfortable and clean.

My Family and I stayrd two nights at this hotel. the room was clean, the bed was comfertable and the room had a microwave and fridg for no extra cost. we skiped the cheap breakfast they serve and brought our own, with a fridg and microwave why not. had no problems with room or service. the only thing I had a problem with was the $9 a day parking fee, […] but when I returned home I found that most of the hotels across the street from Disneyland now chrge at least $8 for parking. the hotel was worth the parking fee to not have to wait on busses and trams. I will definatly stay here again. Les mer

Wow! Great find. The location was very close to the main crosswalk into Disneyland Resort. Loved the fact that you could just park at the hotel and the car did not move for your entire stay. Highly recommended.

Easy access to Disneyland. Walking distance. Room was clean and good price and value. Stayed on ground floor, little loud from cars and people walking outside. But only stayed one night and spent all day at Disneyland and was able to come to room to change and clean kids.

The hotel location is great! The rooms are cleam and the beds are comfortable for a hotel. I stay at thsi hotel every time I come to Anaheim manily for the location and I have never had a problem. On my recent stay I took a short trip with my daughter and and after a long day at the theme parks all you want to do is get to your room and lay down, my […] room cards would not work both days that I was there! It was very frustrating to have to continue to have to go to the lobby time and time again after a long day at the park. Other than that my stay was good and I will return again in the summer. The continental breakfast was horrible. Nothing to choose from. They wanted to charge for a small box of cereal. For the price we paid to stay the night they could at least have a decent free breakfast available.

Out of most of the hotels directly across the street from Disneyland this one is fairly clean and the rooms are nice. But the continental breakfast sucked, expect to pay if you want more than a donut & coffee and even then they only have cereal & bagels! Also expect to pay for parking, to keep your car there after you check out is a few dollars cheaper […] than paying at the Disney parking lot but still sucks considering how much you pay for a 3 star room. But you can't beat walking across the street to get to the park! Les mer

Worked great for park attendance, but if breakfast is super important I'd choose another hotel. Paid 10.50 for parking too.

This is so far my favorite hotel near Disneyland... It is literally across the street! It had nice, newly redone rooms, super clean, comfortable and not to mention an amazing staff. The staff was very helpful and super friendly! I will not be staying anywhere else from now on! P.S. It was all for a reasonable price!
