Hotellet lå sentralt til i Barcelona, rimelig pris og veldig god service. Hotellbetjeningen snakket bra engelsk, noe som ikke er vanlig i Barcelona. Rommet var av god størrelse og inneholdt alt man trenger for en weekendtur. Sengene er ganske harde, men for et par netter er dette ikke et problem. Hotellet ligger rett ved et metro stopp, noe som er veldig nyttig da man med metroen kommer frem til de fleste steder i Barcelona. Anbefales!

Rent, velstelt og hyggelig hotell, like ved metrostoppet Arc de Triumph (to stopp unna placa catalunya). To dataer med internett i resepsjonen, veldig hyggelige og behjelpelige resepsjonister. Hyggelig kafé man kan spise frokost på rett rundt hjørnet er "Bracafé", ellers er det en asiatisk restaurant rett ved siden av den kaféen der man kan spise rimelig og god kinesisk.

Hotellet ligger sentralt til i forstaden til Barcelona, med kort vei, 100 meter, til nærmeste buss-stopp. Turen til Barcelona tar omtrent 30 minutter. Undergrunnsbanen, med meget god kommunikasjon til Barcelona, kan nås etter omtrent 10 minutters gange. Du ankommer sentrum etter 20-30 minutter. Betjeningen på hotellet er hjelpsomme og tenker løsningsorientert, noe som medførte at forespørsler ble effektivt behandlet, til beste for oss. Vi hadde et trivelig opphold, og kommer gjerne tilbake til samme hotell.
Beliggenhet.
Dette hotellet, U232 Hotel, ligger i Eixample-området i Barcelona, er forretningsvennlig og nær Casa Mila, Sagrada Familia og Casa Batllo. Ikke langt unna finner du også Placa d'Espanya og Las Ramblas.

bra hotell, veldig god standard og høy komfort. Relatvirt nært sentrum, gåavstand til det meste. Eneste som trekker ned er at frokost ikke var inkludert i romprisen. Anbefales!

Deilig hotell med film noir følelse. man kommer inn i et meget gjennomtenkt resepsjonsområde, med behagelig musikk og lune, dempede farger. Hele hotellet, ganger bar, resepsjon og rom var gjennomgående vellholdt og ekstremt gjennomført. med sorte, mørke brune og stofftapeserte vegger med innslag av store fotografier og gjennomgående store, pene trelister. […] Stilrent! Bra service, herlig rom, bra standard. perfekt for oss to på kjærlighetsreise. vi benyttet oss ikke av frokosttilbudet, men det ligger drøssevis med bakere, kafeer og spisesteder i området. Les mer

Det eneste jeg har å utsette på hotellet, er at frokosten ikke var inkludert, på tross av at hotels.com hadde opplyst noe annet. Den biten er det vel kanskje hotels.com som må ta på seg skylden for. Det ble uansett 28 euro ekstra for god frokost fro 2.
"Så og si perfekt!"
Rommet var meget rent, ryddig og i perfekt størrelse. Betjeningen snakket bra engelsk så kommunikasjonen gikk fint. God frokost og gratis Internett i et eget rom i lobbyen. Eneste minuset er at det er lite stykke til handlegata. Servicen var upåklagelig og vi fikk tilsendt en servicetekniker på rommet på under 1 minutt for å få ordnet det slik at vi […] kunne bruke playstation (var ikke mulig å få ps2 til å fungere pga av programmeringen av tv kanalene som gikk fra 1-19 og begynte på nytt igjen, det var ingen av2/exe2 knapp tilgjengelig). Serviceteknikeren fikset selvfølgelig dette med egen superfjernkontroll og fikk 5 euro tips for rask og effektiv service :-) Vi hadde et supert opphold og kommer garantert igjen. Les mer
"Fulltreffer"
Vi dro på veninnetur til Barcelona og er enige om at Hotel U232 er vel verdt å anbefale andre. Hyggelig betjening og smakfullt interiør. På rommet vårt ble vi møtt av designstolen "Ghost" , et herlig flislagt bad og "regnvannsdusj"... mm. Alt dette til en svært overkommerlig pris. Anbefales!!

Vi badde bare en natt på hotellet etter et cruise i middelhavet. Hotellet var meget bra på alle måter. Det eneste minuset er at det er noe avstand til sentrum, men med metroen nært var ikke dette noe problem.

Alle er gode i engelsk, så kommunikasjon er ingen problem på dette hotellet. de er forøvrøvrig svært serviceinnstillte så det er tydelig at de vet her hva det betyr å sette kunden i fokus. Ligger sentralt i gåavstand til alt i byen.

"Oasis of peace in Barcelona"
After a long day of action packed sight seeing and happy crowds, it was very nice to retire to our U232 hotel for a long shower in the perfect bathroom and great sleep in soundproof room! Great beds, very clean, right on metro and in a nice local neighborhood where café was 50% cheaper than any more touristic area!!

"Great hotel"
We had a fabulous experience at the hotel. The rooms are very nice and new. The staff was helpful in giving us directions. It's about a 30+ minute walk from many key tourist sites such as La Ramblas, Casa Batllo, La Pedrera, but we enjoyed the exercise. The subway is also right outside the hotel.

This hotel is well appointed and in a good location- close to the metro- which can get you to any site that you might want to see in Barcelona. The metro is so simple and easy to use, we did not take a taxi the whole entire time we were in Barcelona! Our room had a settee at the end of the bed, and a bench against the wall, allowing for additional […] room which was welcome at times during our 5 day stay. The front desk staff was largely wonderful- all spoke great English- one evening staffer on the front desk was not particularly warm or open, he did not even acknowledge our presence as we entered the lobby, but his actions were the exception- not the rule. The hotel offers 2 computers for patrons use, helpful for web-check in, etc--such offerings at no charge were very thoughtful since we had decided to forgo bringing and technology with us on our 3+ weeks abroad. One small, but somewhat important privacy detail- the bathrooms are not completely private, rather they are separated by a sort of 'blind system' between the bathroom and the main room- which do not close.. so if you are trying to allow a spouse to sleep in and keep the light out of the main room- cannot do so. Or if you are traveling with a friend, and might want some privacy in the bath while showering or in the bathroom, etc- there is little privacy--- just making a notation so people will know. Also- there is a Mailboxes Etc business right around the corner from the hotel - useful for sending things home if you do not want to schlep them along them remainder of your trip. They were wonderful/helpful and we would definitely recommend. Les mer

This was a great place to stay - the staff were really helpful and had our room ready when we arrived after a long haul from Australia. Would stay there again and recommend it as a really convenient location to all the city - close to buses and metro. Very quiet and well presented.

"BED BUGS!!!"
Would not recommend this hotel. Found a bug crawling on me, under the sheets, while taking a nap in the afternoon. Saw a lot of fruit flies in the room (at least 4). Worst of all, I caught a beg bug in the morning! I took it down to the front desk and they said, "thank you for bringing it to their attention" and looked at me. I asked them to do something […] about it and they said there is nothing they could do - as I did not book with them directly. Unfortunately, my taxi to the airport was waiting outside and it was early in the morning so no manager to speak with. I had to leave and could not wait around. Needless to say, will never stay there again! After coming back to the US, I saw a review with trip advisor and read about bed bugs back in 2010. What a shame as the hotel was really nice! Les mer

I would recommend this hotel. It's a bit of a walk from sights, but worth it. People were very helpful and friendly.

and metro entrance right across the street. We had a great view with a big terrace that even had an electronic retractable sun shade. Clean, spacious room and bathroom and the water pressure in the shower was amazing -- almost decadent! Hotel staff were great. We will recommend this hotel to friends.

"Cutting Edge Hotel in Great Neighborhood"
Very modern hotel with wonderful amenities (like rooftop terrace overlooking city, great breakfast area, business lounge and lobby/bar area. "Great hotel in Barcelona's Eixample"
We were a bit worried about the distance of this hotel from the main tourist areas, but this turned out to be a blessing as we really enjoyed the neighborhood and the hotel itself was top-notch. Our room was on the 2nd floor and faced the back so we didn't have a vie - but we did get an extra big balcony. Curiously, there was no patio furniture, so […] there was no way to really enjoy it other than lean out. This is a very design-y hotel with really nice furniture by Zanotta, Artemide, etc. There's a bar downstairs and a breakfast restaurant (though we opted for neighborhood cafe's instead). If you are taking the metro from the airport, the light blue line actually takes you to the nearest stop (Hospital Clinic). This same line takes you directly to the Sagrada Familia. All other sites are 2-3 transfers away. Friendly staff and great amenities as well (love the heated towel rack and box of personal grooming kit you get upon check-in.) Les mer
"Our stay at U232!"
When we checked into U232 we had already spent two weeks in Spain. The hotel looked clean and well maintained but the rooms looked very small. The toilet seat and commode in one bathroom were dirty and we had to call the housekeeper. We were given two rooms on the first floor. The rooms did not have balconies. From the web we had downloaded details […] about the hotel which said 'all guestrooms have balconies'. When we showed this to the receptionist she expressed her helplessness and said such rooms needed to be requested at the time of booking. The towels were not changed daily. The safes were a great convenience. The food was expensive and the portions not satisfactory. We went out to eat most of the time and that was good. The hotel is located away from the shopping areas and sights but is never too far even if you use the underground (TMB). Overall not a bad option, but don't think of it as a great place to relax. Don't choose this hotel if you uare looking for a real 4 star hotel. Rooms are very small and there are no double beds but 2 twins. Breakfast is below average. The only above average amenity is the wifi. In terms of location, near the underground but long for walking to central areas.

We stayed at the U232 in Barcelona June 1-3, 2011 and had a great experience. We arrived very early in the morning, hours before check in, but the friendly and helpful staff stored our luggage for us, gave us the wireless code, and a comfortable place to sit and relax. By the time we'd had a cup of coffee and checked our email, our (spacious) room was […] ready. My husband and I stayed here on a recent trip to Barcelona. The staff was helpful and friendly, the room was clean and comfortable, and the hotel lobby had a great ambiance- jazz music playing and couches to sit in. The location was nice, too. It wasn't in the middle of all the touristy things, like Las Ramblas, which meant we were able to find food […] and go shopping for decent prices. However, the hotel was a short walk to the Metro station, which made it quick and easy to get anywhere in the city. I would definitely stay here again when I visit Barcelona! Les mer

Good hotel choice for our pre-cruise party of 6; 3 couples. From our perspective, free internet access was a bonus. Rooms, though small, were clean and well maintained. Staff were friendly. Limitations: Restaurant options within walking distance were limited. There is one across the street, but only pastry type items served there. We really enjoyed our stay in the U232 hotel Barcelona. The design of the rooms, the privacy of the spaces and the great service really liked us a lot. A great place to stay for a very reasonable price.

This was our first visit to Barcelona and this hotel really made it a perfect mini-break. Very clean, modern, spacious and well located hotel. Close to some very good restaurants and the brilliant metro system. The staff were very friendly and helpful and we will be back to both Barcelona and hopefully the U232 hotel. Thankyou to all.

Although we initially thought the U232's location might be a problem, once we'd understood how to use the excellent integrated transport system in Barcelona it was a breeze to get to and from the hotel from the centre. Also a bonus was the absence of all the cheap Paella joints that plague the tourist areas. Despite arriving early we were given our […] room by the helpful and friendly receptionist, which was a real plus point after an early start from the UK. Well appointed, comfortable, interesting outlook and well insulated from the inevitable noise of Barcelona traffic.Only thing missing was a kettle to make a cup of tea!
