Nice small hotel with good central location in Maastricht. Good standard, friendly and helpful staff. Excellent breakfast in a charming old Dutch- style environment with a view to the back garden. Free coffe bar for guests, with a selection of cakes and sweets. All very nice, I'd definitely want to come back.

Dette var et profesjonelt hotell på de aller fleste måter. Jeg har bare en ting å utsette: Et hotell av denne standard bør også ha free WI-FI for gjester. Alle hoteller på vår reise videre i Frankrike - også gites - hadde free Wi-Fi.

Sentralt beliggende i hyggelig by med gode restaurant og shoppingmuligheter. Hyggelig, morsom og serviceminded betjening. Årets beste og billigste hotell på bilferien:) Av- og pålessing av bilen rett utenfor døren, dyr, overvåket parkering nærme, men gratis parkering et par hundre meter unna.

"promotions did not match reality"
We frequently stay in Liege but as we were staying two nights and it was the last night of our holiday we decided to go for a better hotel. We were attracted by reasonable prices, good location and lovely clean decor - the pictures showed clean lines, whites and blues. What we found... well, it was largely a disappointment. We stayed on the 4th floor, […] the corridors were brown and yellow, the room had greenish walls and energy efficient lighting that did not light the room, but instead cast it in a weird orange glow. We struggled to find things in our suitcase because we couldn't see them. One lamp was broken, and in asking for a replacement, reception asked whether we really needed it fixed. Apart from the size of the room (two double beds) it was worse than the 2 and 3 * hotels we usually use in Liege across all services. Reception staff were not friendly nor forthcoming with information - one was downright rude but was also clearly not well enough to work as she had a really bad cold. Parking was the worst we have had in any hotel. Mercure rent some spaces in a multistory car park next door. The spaces are very small and if they are taken you have to park in the public area on the 7th floor. Our exhaust scraped on the many ramps in the car park and we have never had this problem before or after. Breakfast is expensive compared to other hotels in Liege and overall was quite basic, although what they offered was ok. The location and access to the old town was good, although the hotel is located on a busy street where ambulances, busses and police cars pass regularly throughout the night, so opening a window wasn't really an option through the night. Mercure appear to have refurbished part of the hotel, including reception and the dining room and the floor on which a whole professional cycling team stayed. The mismatch between the promotional shots and our actual room was too big to be overlooked and we consider it unacceptable for a chain hotel like Mercure. Overall Les mer
"Clean hotel close to city center"
We stayed here for a night. Our room was clean and spacious. Staff were really helpful and gave us some great recommendations for food. The hotel is around 5 minutes from the center so close to restaurants and bars etc. There is parking right next to the hotel in a public lot that costs 12.50 euros a night. Wifi is free in the rooms.
"This should not be a 4 star hotel"
The only 4 star element of this hotel is the location, which is very close to the famous 'Carre' on the main boulevard. Othewise it was definetly a 3 star. The entrance, reception, bar are very pokey and small. The staff on arrival were unenthusiastic and really did not seem to enjoy their job, There was no sign of excellent customer services. The hotel […] is plain in decor. The rooms are relatively small, but do contain 2 double beds (better to just have 1 and then there would be space). the bathroom is very small and the fitting are plastic. (quite motel style) The restaurant / bar would not inspire fine dining and the breakfast was basic. The parking is right next door, although not owned by hotel and sometimes difficult to find a space as they are not all located together. There is an additional charge for this. "Convenient for an overnight stay"
The hotel is near the middle of town, and right next to a multi-storey car park with a discounted daily rate. The hotel is centrally located, convenient for access to bars and restaurants. Be warned the center of Liege is currently a mass of road works, and whilst we got to the hotel easily in the evening, leaving in the morning was a nightmare.

La calidad de los muebles de la habitación quedó totalmente opacada por la suciedad de la alfombra.

Cet établissement n'est ABSOLUMENT PAS à l'image des autres hôtels "Mercure" !!! Bien que ma chambre soit spacieuse et ma salle de bain refaite, la décoration date d'un autre âge (particulièrement la salle de restaurant). L'ENORME inconvénient est que PLUS DE LA MOITIE des chambres de l'hôtel donnent sur une cour aveugle, à quelques mètres à peine […] des fondations d'un parking à étage !!! Même la vue depuis les chambres des hôtels "Formule 1" est plus agréable !!! Rien que pour cela, cet hôtel ne mérite pas qu'on s'y arrête, ne serait-ce qu'une seule nuit ! De plus, nous avons été réveillés par des travaux dans l'hôtel, alors que nous n'avions nullement été prévenus la veille... Bref ! Je déconseille vivement de séjourner dans cet établissement dont L'UNIQUE intérêt est d'être situé près du centre-ville... Les mer
