DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Detroit - Dearborn - Detroit

The reservation called for a King/ sf. I was given a room with 2 double beds. The air conditioner was not working. next day moved to another room. ROOM SERVICE WAS AN HOUR LATE BECAUSE NO ONE WROTE THE ROOM NUMBER DOWN. Very disappointed

The building is starting to show its age and the pool size looks far more generous in the photos. The MOD was.very helpful with an issue and the front desk staff were are very welcoming and efficient. Did I mention how good that cookie was? :)

The hotel is beautiful, the staff is friendly and helpful, the rooms are clean and comfortable, it's near several restaurants, and it's not far from the mall and movie theater. A wonderful place for a one night stay or a week long vacation. I've used Doubletree several times and it never disappoints.

I booked this hotel wishing for a beautiful suite with 2 queen beds, a pullout couch in a separate room, and refrigerator. When I arrived my room was no longer available and I had to humbly settle for a 2 queen bed room. The room was very small and it smelled like moth balls. there were light bulb burned out in our room, they were replaced immediately. Staff was outstanding with answering any questions we had and fixed everything right away. We were in town visiting family, we only used it to sleep and shower.

Staff very, very friendly and helpful. Only thing that I wasn't happy with, was the lighting in the rooms, very dim and cleaning staff did not refill toilet paper or kleenex.

Overall, it wasn't what I expect from a Double Tree, which I have stayed in before. The fan in the bathroom did not work, and other than the lobby, the hotel seemed outdated. The staff was great though and there was some updates going on in the pool/hottub area, so that was good to see.

Great stay -- everything was as we expected. The gym and indoor pool and hot tub were great!

It was OK. The interior of the hotel was dated and the bar and rest. closed too early. It was closed at midnight on a Sat. that was disappointing. There really are no good restaurants in the vicinity other than chains and a strip-bar. Great service overall, but poor decor and mediocre food, especially with room service.

Very nice but wasn't there long enough to use many of the services. The place could use a little updating though.

Great Hotel. Clean, great service great food. Surrounding neighborhoods horrible. Don't leave the hotel and you'll be great!

Excellent value through 'Hotels.com'. Very comfortable bed (mattress), and very comfy linens and pillows(very important to me)

The staff was excellent, but we were disappointed in our room. It certainly wasn't like the pictures shown! The room was way too small, and at booking I was promised a refrigerator, which wasn't in our room. We had to call and ask for one and what they brought in looked like something from a junkyard. We also had to call for towels & washcloths, for […] there was an insufficient amount in the room. The ceramic tile in the bathroom was all cracked and chipping, and there was no space around the sink to put anything. Also, the hairdryer didn't work. We have stayed in very nice Double Tree hotels, so we thought it would be in par with those, but not even close. Location was tricky to get to and not many restaurants nearby. We decided to eat at the "39 Grille" in the hotel, which ended up being a very EXPENSIVE mistake. We will not stay there again. Les mer

At first I was leary of the location, as I thought it was actually in Dearborn, but then when I googled it it said Detroit. I wasn't crazy about the surrounding area until I saw you could enter from Ford Road, and it was a very nice Hotel with good service, and it had security and everything, so I didn't feel so concerned with the next block over. Staff friendly and efficient. Room confortable but very small. Lobby and lounge nice. Bartender (Tracy) great. Bathroom in our room needs work but clean. Nice area and security was present and alert. All in all good experience.

The front desk staff was extremely helpful. Room was very clean & comfy with a few extra touches that made it very nice. The restaurant/bar's food was good but the service was not. We happened to be there when the pool/spa area was undergoing renovation.

We were visting Detroit for a Tiger's game on Friday night and a concert on Saturday night. The staff was very friendly when we checked in and the lobby was beautiful. We headed up to our room and the first thing I did was went to the bathroom. Something was wrong with the toilet because after I flushed, water started overflowing and flooded the bathroom. […] We called the front desk and a gentlemen came to our room to help with the issue. He wasted no time in getting us into a different room so they could clean up the mess. We were even given a complimentary breakfast for two at their restuarant the next morning. We were very impressed with the service we were given at the hotel and will definitely be staying again on our next trip to the city. Les mer

Pretty disappointed! Indoor pool is under construction, outdoor pool is closed (no reason), fitness center is closed due to construction of the indoor pool. No complimentary coffee, donuts... anything! Grill 39 (restaurant inside hotel) - understaffed and overpriced. Now, I am getting a $50 charge added on to my card for unknown reasons!!! Friendly staff is all i can say. I've stayed in Doubletrees often enough; this one felt rundown. Bed, linen and tv were all fine, but the room/ hotel felt unclean and unkept. The bathroom, particularly the floor, was dirty. The exterior door (to the stairwell) had been forced open at some point and not yet repaired. Guess that's why they have security […] detail patrolling the parking lot. As for the location, i cant recommend it. I previously stayed downtown (Greektown) for the same price, and had a much better experience; more convenient neighbourhood, nicer hotel/ room, complimentary breakfast buffet, free parking. Les mer

I was more than impressed when walking into the hotel to check in. For the price we paid for the room and the expectations were set moderately. We were in town for the Buffett Concert at Comerica so we only needed a place to lay our heads. The "WOW" factor went thru the roof when I walked in to get checked in before the concert. The hotel was incredible...clean, […] great service and at a great price! The lobby was beautiful, the rooms were clean and pool was refreshing! Only drawback was housekeeping knocking on doors at 10:00 to see if there were any empty rooms from any early check outs. Other than the slight interruption the stay was wonderful! Nice hotel, not so nice area,but they have a six foot wall with barbed wire surrounding three sides of the hotel. Need better signage, we had a hard time figuring out where to enter.

The Hotel was very nice, clean, well lit, modern, secure, and close to the highway. The Staff was helpful and friendly. However for the price I felt many things you would normally expect of a hotel where extra, a lot extra, Breakfast was $12 a person, Wifi was $10 a night, the restaurant was pricy for both dinning room and room service.

Everything was great, until the front desk called us a "cab" who had no meter and charged us $40 to get to Comaerica Park. Should've been more like $20. Nice rooms.

Finding the entrance to this hotel can be a little tricky. But staying in Dearborn was convenient to the The Henry Ford and Art Museum which we wanted to see.

Nice, quiet, comfortable hotel. The quiet was especially important because I sleep in the mornings/early afternoons. Room service accommodated my odd schedule perfectly, and the location is perfect. Close enough to downtown, but not so close that I have to deal with the silliness of a valet. I will be staying here again.

A very large, older hotel, but it has lots of nice amenities. Nice pools and workout center, there were a couple places to eat within walking distance, and there was a shopping center nearby. Kind of a confusing location to get to though. Very secure with key cards required at elevators and side doors.
