I needed a place to spread out my materials as I am a college student. I needed to be able to study for my upcoming finals. The room was nice, but there was something in the room that I was allergic to, I think I was in a smoking room when I requested a non-smoking room. Other than that, the stay was very nice, room service was very fast. There was […] a moment at 1 a.m. where there was a party going on, on the floor I was on, but after a while, the group settled down and I was able to continue with my studies. The pillows are incredible. I plan to buy one for my home from the company that manufactures them. I would definitely recommend this hotel, as long as the room assignment is correct with the next visit. Les mer

After flying in late to Midway one night I used this hotel as a place to stay before moving onto other destinations because it was a relatively short drive away from the airport. It was perfect for this purpose. The hotel was clean and the staff was helpful during check-in, recommending a good restaurant close to the hotel. I would stay here again […] . Les mer

The breakfast staff was the worst...not interested if you were there or not...poor service...food was just average at best...to expensive as well for what they had. The front desk staff was excellent!

Staff were unfailingly polite. There was a water problem that resulted in late jack hammering. The hotel managed to keep cold water service (icy cold!) to guest room sinks and toilets but no water at all to tubs/showers until morning. Unable to wash away the grime of a very long day, it was a less than comfortable night. There were no additional perks […] or discounts to guests for the inconvenience. The staff was very friendly.The room was clean, a little small, but adequate. I stayed on a non-smoking floor, but the comforter on the bed had cigarette burns and even though it had been cleaned, there was still a slight smell of cigarettes. You could smell cigarette smoke in the hallway in the middle of the night, especially close to the elevator. […] If you are not sensitive to cigarette smoke, this hotel is fine for an overnight stay. This is the second DoubleTree we have stayed in. I would highly recommend this hotel. The rates are reasonable and the amenities are great! This is our "go to" whenever we travel! The DoubleTree in Memphis is phenomenal, also!

I like the worker there they where nice. But it would have been better if they would have done it right and have someone to pick us up , Waited 20 mins then called they said oh someone must have not done the pick up for you. Wow waited 25 imins more. they just piont the finger at each other. temp at that time was 23 cold burrrrrrrrrrrrr

Love the people there. would have been nice that you did not forget that I was coming in Chi from Lax . Had to call you and tell you that we where there . (25 mins later ) after calling we got pick up , and came in and no I am sorry but to get It was someone else that made the mistake.

Was there for business, but would stay for a relaxing weekend. Great pool and restaurant. Staff very nice, 5 star people!

Nice free shuttle to airport. Does take a good 15-20 minutes to get to the airport. Cleanliness of room could be improved. A little overpriced. Friendly staff

despite the Non smoking signs I see on the outside of the room, this hotel reeks of smoke. and the maids didn't do a great job of cleaning my room.

The Doubletree was such a great hotel. The customer service was excellent. The second night there we received a call from the manager, telling us if we needed anything to please call him. We were greeted with a smile when we checked into the hotel. I plan to only stay at Doubletree when I am in Chicago. Of course the cookies were wonderful!

The people at this Doubletree are welcoming and good to deal with. We use this everytime we fly out of Midway. It is close enough to Midway airport to be convenient but far enough away to be quiet. Everyone we encountered on the staff is pleasant. Early shuttles tend to be crowded, but the hotel is good.

I stay over 150 nights a year in hotels for business, This hotel is a great deal no issues perfect for Chicago business or recreation close to highways and restaurants efficient courteous staff .

I was slightly disappointed with the room - definitely not the nicest in terms of fixtures an finishes, but the room was clean the bed was comfortable. Overall, I would say that it is pretty standard for the mid-price range.

The hotel staff was very attentive to our needs, and cheerfully provided us with extra blankets, and coffee an tea upon request. The roll-away bed we requested was waiting for us in our room as well (though it was pretty uncomfortable...).

I have been to the Doubletree Alsip on five separate occasions. The rates are reasoonable, rooms are clean, and staff accomodating. I'll surely choose this location. P.S. My family loves the pool and Sunday brunch.

Great place to stay. Staff was very pleasant, cooperative, and accommodating. Will definitely plan on staying there again and will recommend it to friends.

The hotel and staff were fantastic and helped us salvage and otherwise horrible trip.

This was the second time we stayed at this hotel. Everything went well again. This is a great location by Chicago's South Side. The pool was perfect. We will stay here on our next visit to Chicago.

Very noisy room, A.C. units mounted on window, adjacent room noise unacceptable.

Close enough to home but far enough away to relax. Great staff, kids loved the pool.

We appreciated the courtesy and professionalism of the staff in Alsip at all contacts. Counter staff were very efficient with a polite warmth. Since we needed a very late dinner on Saturday, we ate at the lounge. Despite the lone barman's having a full night while we were there, he was pleasant and quick with getting us our dinner. My husband and I had an early flight so we decided to stay at the Double Tree because they had shuttle service to Midway and we could leave our car there. I was very happy the Front Desk gentelman and the man who does the shuttle service. Both men were very nice and informitive. When we returned the shuttle was there waiting for us and we didn't even […] have to call!! And our car was safe and sound. We will go back. Les mer

It was a great hotel Just a little out of the way to the Airport

Despite evidence of age, the rooms were remarkably clean and comfortable. The only things I have to "complain about" (and they are more notes than complaints) is that the pillows on the beds were a bit flat-it took three of them to give the support that i get from one ordinary pillow. I booked my hotel from the web which gave me a chance to review many of the comments about various hotels. Doubletree was not my first consideration, but the price was right at the time. Although there were no negative reviews on this hotel, there were no outstanding ones either( that I found). My flight arrived early and so I called the hotel to find […] out if I could check in earlier than the 3pm time specified and the very friendly speaking operator stated that would not be a problem. I was given a very warm greeting at the check-in desk, given two warm,chunky chocolate cookies and informed about the hotel's restuarant with a time-limited discount coupon for the evening. My room was very clean, neat and well arranged. I had plenty of towels. My room service breakfast that I pre-order the night before, was delivered at the time requested and the attendant was very pleasant. Upon check out, I was assisted very promptly and was asked about my stay. Overall, I was very satisfied with my accomdations and the service. My only concern is that the hotel is eight miles from the airport and that was not made very clear when I booked the hotel on the web, but it is a relatively straight shot (about 20 mins) to the Chicago Midway airport. The parking is free and there is a shuttle to the airport. Les mer

I stayed here on a layover at Midway airport. Arrived at 6 p.m. and departed at 6 a.m. the following morning. If you hit rush hour traffic, you need to allow almost an hour between the hotel and the MDW. Non rush hour is only about 15 minutes. Great staff and excellent food in the restaurant and lounge.

Unbeknownst to me, there was a wedding scheduled on Saturday night. Needless to say, the participants were rowdy, screaming in the halls, cursing, etc. I did not get a response from the front desk when I first called. I called again 1/2 hour later and security was sent. It quieted down for approximately 1/2 hour. From midnight until 6am there was door […] slamming, yelling, drinking, running up and down the hallway. Needless to say I will not stay at this hotel ever again. I did not get any sleep that night. It is also my understanding that wedding parties often stay here so be aware. Les mer

The hotel staff was fantastic. Every person within the hotel was very customer service oriented. The food was good. My room very, very comfortable. Internet Servcies Great. A+ I will be back.

I come here a couple times a year. It says alot when the staff doesn't change. The food is very good, including the breakfast buffet. The occasional loud wedding guest is unavoidable, but the hotel controls matters well. Check is is quick and easy. The bartenders are friendly. All in all and good, dependable, no surprise hotel. It's a Hilton so a little […] pricey, but not much quality competition in the area probably makes it worth it. Definitely recommend checking online for deals. Les mer

Loved the spacious room. The spacious bed. Every night I was a sultan amongst tons of feather pillows. Staff was very accomodating. Excellent location to the expressways (both 294 tollway and 57 expressway). Free Wifi, which was awesome. Two very slight negatives: TV did not have a DVD player, so I had to use my computer, which ended up to not be a […] real problem, and the shower curtain in my bathroom didn't smell 100% fresh, but the rest of the shower and the tub area was sparkle clean. Hotel had all the amenities of a high end hotel. The rooms were comfortable and the breakfast buffet was very good. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We will definitely stay there again.
