the indoor pool was freezing and my kids got sick the day we left. i was there for a conference saturday and sunday so my husband and two children went to hang out in the pool and game room and just relax a couple days away from home. but numerous times i complained about the pool being so freezing cold, i couldnt stand to get in it. my ten year old […] did but had to get out freqently to get in hot tub to warm up. my eighteen mo old couldnt stand the pool at all so only got to get in hot tub. i dont think i will return to this hotel in particular esp if not in summer time when the sun could warm you up in the outdoor pool. "Staff & Pool"
The gentleman at the front desk upon arrival was rude. He was very nice and informative to the man who was ahead of us in line, most likely due to his membership in the hotel chain. I felt that he looked down on me because I am a value shopper. The pool was also a dissapointment to my 2 teenage children. They went swimming after supper and came back […] early, saying the pool was dirty and cold. Rooms were confortable and the regular staff was nice. "One of the best places in this area of Knoxville"
I always stay here since its close to the office I go to. I am taking time out to appreciate the smoothness with which this place allows me to conduct my day to day work. No hassle internet, good breakfast, free coupons for breakfast since I am a priority club member... only grumblings would be 1) carpets in corridors looks worn out 2) parking is an […] issue - you never get it close to the door you want. "This place is a dump"
We chose the hotel based on good reviews but I'm not sure those people stayed in the same place. Our room was dirty and worn. The halls were filthy. They seem to cater to railroad workers because there were many rail trucks in the parking lot. Parents beware there is alot of porn advertised on the hotel tv. We checked out a day early and they would […] not refund our last night. Breakfast cost extra and unless you are a priority club premium member it isn't free contrary to another posting here. The hotel was also hard to get to from the highway. We previously stayed at the holiday inn in Farragut and wish we had again. It's brand new with easy highway access and free breakfast for a little bit less. We thought this hotel was closer to our destination in Knoxville but it really wasnt worth it. Les mer

Don't forget to announce your priority rewards number while checking in - that makes u eligible for free breakfast in the mornings, which otherwise is $12 I believe. Priority rewards at Holiday Inn is free to sign up. For me, its very close to the office I need to visit so I use it often... taking an elevator is the only issue - they are few and far […] out so there's quite a walk from the lobby to get to your room if u stay in upper floors... "Knoxville visit"
Hotel staff was polite and helpful, and courteous enough to lower the pet rate when I explained that some of the other HI's were only charging $25 max, and some did not charge at all and they had wanted to charge $50. We only had a cat with us which we do not feel warrants the need for such a high fee like a dog.

The hotel is ok as hotels go, but the staff is extraordinary! They were extremely helpful and courteous. They were cheerful and friendly. My mother became ill during our stay and the staff speedily responded to her need for medical assistance. The hotel's location is convenient to the interstate, to shopping, and a multitude of restaurants - and fortunately […] for us, only a few blocks from a world-class hospital. I had read previous reviews and knew going in that the AC smelled moldy and old. This was true. The hotel was older but updated. It was still nice to be close to places to eat and the interstate. We would stay here again.

"Clean, Updated, Pleasant Staff"
Great hotel. Never get a basement or 1st floor room. They wreak. All other rooms are nice, updated, clean & comfortable linens. Place has an indoor pool, game room, and two raquet ball courts (slightly outdated but very usable and a great perk). Going for a long jog directly from the hotel is not so great.

Even though the room was very comfortable we were disappointed in the pool and hot tub. In the south we have experienced cooler pools but never a hot tub. My kids who swim in cold water in Michigan couldn't stay in the pool. It was that cold. Worse was the hot tub. They were not the only ones complaining and most people only had there feet in it. We met some friends in knoxville for an overnight stay. The hotel staff was excellent, the kids loved the indoor/outdoor pool. We found the proximity to restaurants and stores convenient. Excellent stay, very nice place to stay

Very nice hotel, updated, very cool bar but kinda spendy. The spa was cold but they were able to fix it. We would for sure stay there again!
"Would recommend"
This Holiday Inn was tastefully decorated, clean, and very nice in general. This has not always been my experience with Holiday Inn so was pleasantly surprised. I would definitely stay here again. As I was traveling alone, I went across the road to a nice little Thai place and had a wonderful fish dish w/pineapple. Also recommend.

"Hotel Stay"
Our hotel stay was nice except for a room on the same side as the expressway so we had to deal with highway traffic all night and all morning. The only other issue was no hot water or water pressure on Saturday morning due to so many people trying to get to Saturday morning events.
"Football Game Weekend"
Great weekend (except for us visiting fans). Access to the game was facilitated by bus service to/from the game. My wife had only one complaint: no bathtub in our room. If you want a bathtub, be sure to ask for one.

This hotel has an indoor swimming pool, two racquetball courts (and racquets available), a game room, weight room and an off site YMCA one can go to. I wish the YMCA would be replaced by a nicer gym like the Rush Fitness, but at the cost difference between hotels that offer the YMCA and the Rush it all equals out. The hotel was perfect for our one night stay. It is a great hotel for children and teens. They have an indoor pool. The King room came with a pullout sofa, a refrigerator and microwave. It was close to I-40; there were a variety of restaurants in walking distance or a short drive from the hotel. "Holiday Inn Select Cedar Bluff-home away from home"
This is the second time my wife and I have stayed here. Both times have been excellent. Most of our car club stays here for our annual trip to Deal's Gap, NC. The staff is professional and courteous and the rooms are clean and comfortable. There are plenty of restaurants close by and it is very close to the interstate.

Would have liked at least a Continental breakfast at this price. Family member had a pet. Nice that they are allowed BUT beware there is a $50 fee for having one in your room. And if anyone in your group happens to have pet allergies make sure to ask for a pet free room/floor.

The hotel was over run by a thousand Little league baseball players on the night we were there. Other than that, the hotel was clean, workers were friendly, but it wasn't as nice as we expected.
