The hotel is located close to a couple chain restaurants (TGI Fridays's, Joe's Crab Shack, etc.) and also near a Target. The room would have been great, but I thought the sheets were scratchy, and a little uncomfortable.

Very comfortable. Easy access to downtown Philadelphia. Only wish it had continental breakfast included.

My credit was charged $187.00 extra because They decided to make a mistake and charge me again for the room that I already paid for plus the $50 security deposit. I was very upset.

good place. appreciated the shuttle that took us to our party in manayunk.what would have made it better was not having to pay extra to have microwave or refrigerator in room

I expected a nicer room from Crown Plaza. Hallways leading to my room were dingy. My bathroom floor looked like it needed mopping and the carpet needing shampooing. The tv reception was a little fuzzy. Overall the hotel was okay for the money I paid, but I expected a nicer room for 4 stars. I booked this hotel because this was the only decent price for the 31st of december.. and i bragged to my friends that i booked the Crown Plaza hoping this would feel like a luxury hotel... but it was very disappointing.. the carpets and the interior of the room was like a motel with better beds...

Good access to public transport. Restaurant not very attractive. Complimentary water appreciated for the top level rooms. Relatively quiet rooms on top floor. Rather "pricey" comparably speaking. Excellent location to several restaurants and shopping.

Tough location traffic-wise, and construction was going on right outside, but once inside the hotel was very nice. Security is especially impressive; I needed my key card to make the elevator go to guest floors, again to get into the Women's Floor, and for my door. The Women's Floor is a nice idea, very reassuring from a safety perspective, and with […] extra amenities (make-up mirror, curling iron, etc.) I do wish they'd had some kind of cola in the vending machine ... But room service dinner came promptly and was very interesting (Chicken and Butternut Squash Ravioli, the ravioli were awesome), and there was a good breakfast buffet with custom omelets, unlimited juice and coffee, very reasonable. I was put on a women's only floor that had some extra security measures and only had female staff work on it for security and peace of mind as a female traveling alone. First time I have seen that. It was very nice and reassuring.

I would have rated this hotel as a 5 if the food was better, the rooms were quieter and if they did a better job redirecting the parking during the resealing process of their parking lot.

The hotel was easy to get to and about 20 minutes outside of the city. We parked (free) at the hotel and took public bus #44 into the city -- the promised shuttle was not running -- it was only $2 pp and took about 20-30 minutes to reach the Historic District (Liberty Bell). Room was clean and comfortable, and the hotel was very quiet. The lobby had a sign to be patient with their renovations over the summer (in October), and it wasn't very attractive. The location was convenient for the things we wanted to do.

This hotes is perfectly fine for visitors who need a place to sleep and hang their hat, but it is not a hotel where you'd want to hang out in. The decor is adequate. Cleanliness good. Staff is friendly. It sseems well run. Parking is easy. Freeway is nearby ( a plus and a minus). The reason I give it a 3 is that is not funky or cool and does have any […] remarkable character, but is bland. The hotel was under renovations during my stay. It was clean, however the room had an old musty smell The updates were good but not a wow.The location was close to the airport, sights and good restaurants.The front desk employees were very pleasant and helpful which is the reason I would stay there again.

We had a nice time, it was close enough to the city and they are very helpful at the front desk. I wish we would have known about the concert that weekend before we booked, but that was our fault. There were some rooms that were very loud at 3 am but it was taken care of when I called the front desk.

My overall hotel experience was excellent except for the morning of checkout. I noticed a problem with my final bill. I went to the front desk to figure out this problem which was a draft of $132 from my account due to a clerical error on the hotel's behalf. Had I not checked my account I would have not noticed this until I made it back home to Washington. […] And to make matters worst the attendant could not assist me so I had to go through my bank. The hotel was overall satisfying except for the money matter on the last day so just watch out for your final bill and account. The location was superb as it was located next to a Target, Chipotle, TGIF, and Joes Crab Shack as well as the immediate highway to the downtown area. Les mer

We took the redeye and landed in Philadelphia at 5:15AM, after getting our luggage and rental car, we drove straight to the hotel in hopes of checking in early as we did not get a lot of sleep on the plane. We are very grateful to the hotel front staff Mark, for making an effort to find a room for us to check in early at 7AM. He upgraded us to executive […] status and got us a room with a king size bed at no extra charge. The location of the hotel was perfect for our needs, and there were plenty of quality restaurants within walking distance of this hotel. I really liked the Hotel it is in the City Ave St. staying in a hotel near to my new rented apartment at the same st. that location helped me in shopping a new furniture , having everything around you ( Restaurants, Cafe, Target Supermarket, ...ect ) behind the hotel a rental car shop, all the reception staff were very nice to me and my family,and helpful […] and responsible people, the AC was grate, good access to the WiFi, there is a ice maker in my floor and two machines for snakes and drinks BUT from the hotel to the downtown i need a car for 20 minutes driving, i do not Like my room service they do not supply a new cups and mugs every day unless i have requesting and there is no small refrigerator for cooling water or beverages or even seasonal fruits to preserve food. two times i saw my tables still sticky from last night drinks they are not swapping the tables well, there is no safety box inside the room BUT regarding all what i have mention i enjoyed my stay in this hotel so much. Nice hotel. Very impressed with the fact that they had computers for the patrons to use. However i was a little shocked when I was told I had to pay 10 bucks for a mini fridge?

About 30 minutes in car to the Liberty Hall. Nice indoor pool open 11.00 pm, includind a good jacuzzi. Free fruits and flavored water in the lobby. Staff does not speak spanish bur they were very kindly.

Probably the best bet for the area, but I have stayed at nicer Comfort Inns. I expected more from the Crowne Plaza, and for the price. The place really needs a facelift. The staff were superb- from the front desk to the very nice brunch.

Overall a great stay. The pool left a lot to be desired for and needs an upgrade. The hotel had started renovating the lobby during our stay so it maybe worth asking a favor included to pull a part of the renovation. The room size is good and the bathroom was spotless. The best part of our stay with the close proximity to the zoo and the Please Touch […] museum. Overall a great day and a great city!! Les mer

Stayed at hotel for four nites including 4th Shuttle service very good and obliging dropped us to Art Galleries & in for fireworks. Local Bus stops outside hotel taxi fare from Philly to hotel $20. TGI's also beside hotel. Excellent leisure centre and pool staff very promt on check in even though we were a little early. Definitely stay again

The staff was friendly, and the hotel was in decent shape. The service was a little slow, and cleanliness was just ok, but overall, our stay was favorable.

The staff are absolutely wonderful! The hotel is perfect as a pied a terre for any parent with a child at Philly U. I'll be back many times through the next four years if this stay was an example of what I'll encounter.

Front desk always available and service is timely. The only point is they don't have fridge in room.
