"Hotel Waco"
This Hotel was nothing like the review, It was substandard and the carpets were dirty,the room was not clean and I would never stay in this hotel ever again,very bad experence,not good ,no one should stay in the hotel Waco.

Literally had dirt dobber nests on the curtains and had cigarette burns in the carpet/sheets of a nonsmoking room.
"A/C weak"
Not a comfortable stay..A/C in room run on high all night but never really cooled the room as it should... Most hotels I stay in I turn to low at night & is very comfortable.. The bath tub drain did not drain very quickly so you ended up standing in dirty soapy water until you stepped out of the tub.. When I shower, I like to be clean from head to toe, […] not head to ankles.. Sorry was a disappointment..I can't see it ever getting above 3 stars until comfort issues are addressed.. Les mer
"Hotel Waco/Ramada- convenient but needs work"
Front desk staff was friendly & helpful. Very convenient location and affordable rates. Hotel needs updating and repairs. Wallpaper tearing, blanket ripped, mold on bathroom wall. Lobby women's restroom need some attention. Not as tidy and clean as I would expect.
"Hotel Waco - good location but very old hotel"
The good things about the hotel were the hotel staff and its location. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful (directions, where to eat). Also the hotel is a great location to the interstate, downtown Waco, River Parks and activities. We were always within 5 minutes of where we wanted to go and with easy highway access. The negative things […] about the hotel is that the hotel is quite old and needs maintenance. There isn't much you can do to make a old hotel look or smell good, but at least the A/C in room worked perfectly well and we were comfortable there during our stay. Les mer
"Should've read the reviews more carefully."
I should have paid more attention to the other reviews as they were almost all spot on. The person at the front desk was very friendly, though it took him about three minutes to show up. After that, it was pretty much downhill. The exterior doors do not lock, anyone could walk in. There was peeling paint in the hallway. There were water stains in the […] room sink and the bath tub, and an ever present odor of stale cigarette smoke. The carpet in the room was stained, there was no drain stop so I couldn't give my toddler a bath (not that I would have wanted to), and there was no toilet paper in the room. The electrical outlets were not secured to the wall, I didn't feel comfortable plugging my computer in. I was going to ask to change rooms until my wife read the reviews for this place and I decided asking for a room change was futile. A good learning experience to thoroughly read the reviews. Les mer
"Get what you pay for..."
The checkin staff was very friendly and helpful but everything went downhill from there. Water fountains, elevator, and doorlock to room were all out of order. Nothing else was located next to the hotel and the area left me uncomfortable. Don't bother with the breakfast - it is not worth the walk down the stairs. Have stayed at this hotel 4x, last 2x they have been doing renovation, hotel employees were great but elevator was broke for 4 days, our airconditioner broke the first night during june in the heat, the exterior door down stairs to parking lot not only was handle barely working , the lock was totally gone no need for a card for entry
"Waco Hotel"
The hotel was average but I was very disappointed in the pool, workout room, and the absence of the lounge. These were all reason that I selected this hotel and was disappointed that the desired facilities were either: no longer open, not properly maintained, or lacking in equipment.
"Its worth the money"
The hotel was a typical hotel. Had nothing fancy except that they actually had a breakfast bar. Location is awesome for downtown or Baylor activites. Overall its good deal for the buck.
The fact that the pool was open late was a nice touch. The breakfast was quite varied.
"Waco Hotel-mold in shower"
The hotel looks like it is renovating, and I understand it was only three stars, but I had huge mold growth in my shower. I complained and was told if it couldn't be cleaned I would recieve a new room. We arrived late that evening and the desk clerk had no instruction and I had the same room.
"Oh my goodness"
I can say one good thing about this hotel... great proximity to Baylor. One more thing is the people were very nice. That's it. The hotel is old, as is the carpet, paint, bedding, pillows, tvs, plumbing fixtures, cobwebs in the hallways and the weeds in the "flower beds" surrounding the hotel. As for ammenities, I can say we were near the ice maker […] and the vending machines, which was basically because they were in the hall - and when I say in the hall, I mean - IN the hall. The hallway actually narrows due to the vending machines sticking out. I almost saw on the signage that it was a newly aquired Ramada property. One can only hope they intend to address the many needs of this hotel. Les mer
"Waco hotel"
The Waco hotel is a Ramada hotel located near the Texas Ranger Museum and a must see for all Texans & visitors. In addition, the hotel is very close to Baylor University another great reason to stay at the Waco hotel. The rooms are modern clean & have a microwave & small frig. Parts of the hotels hallways, exit signs and exterior hallway doors need […] repair. Finally, the price is right compared to other hotel that cost more. I would recommend this hotel to any business traveler or family on the road!!! Les mer

"Interesting Experience"
From outside, the hotel isn't the best upkept. The staff was very nice and friendly and it seemed like they made an effort to get to know the person and be helfpul. The air condition need a bit more freon because it did get a bit hot through the night. They ran out of breakfast before the ending time, but were quick to get more food for the awaiting […] guest. For the price point and location it was a good place to stay. They are changing to a Ramada, so it'll be interesting to see what upgrades they do to the building. Les mer
"Building is Aging Quickly"
The Hotel front area, the dining area and the rooms were all fine. The staff were very courteous. The hallways and elevators are old and dingy. The ground floor hotel hallways were not locked at night and the outside doors were left open into the hallways as there was no air conditioning in the hallways. The location is good and the price is good. […] It seems to me that they are trying to maintain a building that needs a serious re-model and they might not have the resources to do so. Les mer

Rooms were not cleaned after the previous guests,used towels were on the floor. Stayed @ The HW the week of 4/25. The staff is friendly and service was good. I think they're in the process of an ownership/management change and the common areas of the hotel could use some work. Overall, I was satisfied.
Good rooms for the price, however the hotel was in disrepair from the outside.

The room was nice and the area was conveinant. I was disapointed in the fact that they do not have interent in the rooms. There business center is out dated and had no ink to print documents. The business computer does not have microsoft software on it so it was hard to check my work while staying in the Hotel. The cable TV was not conected and we had […] to have a tech come to our room at 9:00 pm at night to come and fix it. Over all I had the impression that the Hotel is convienant for Baylor students and their families since it is right next to Baylor college. We visited the Hotel due to a funeral for family in Valley Mills which was not to far away. I would recommend this hotel to people for its location. Les mer

The exterior of the hotel at night looks good but in good light is very old and shabby. The rooms are very, very outdated. The carpet in my particular room looked as though there had been a oil/mud wrestling going on in there...the only good thing about the room was the bed, it was quite comfortable.....oh and did I mention they had old sliding glass […] patio doors down stairs with no patio or balcony Les mer

"Needs Improvement"
The hotel was somewhat rundown, needs to be updated. The pictures online look much better that what it did when I got there. I paid for an executive suite and the room was just a normal king size room with no ammenetis. The room did not seem real clean the carpet was old and felt sticky and the room had a bad odor to it.

We had to get towels from the front desk both days. Breakfast wasn't well stocked or fresh.
