"Best Western Civic Center Plus"
the location isn't anything to speak of, but the price was right, the room was clean and the staff was very friendly. for an overnight business trip, this hotel was perfectly fine. i wouldn't recommend for a family vacation, as it really isn't near anything except the Augusta Civic Center and a shopping mall.

Easy access from highway, although desolated surroundings but for a good pizza place on its side which is extremely convenient as there is no room service and nothing in the fridge. No breakast service either. Only vending machines with chips and sodas, not really good for dinner...so if planning of arriving late, get your food before getting there. […] Good complimentary coffee in room, good gadgets like brand new flat screen TV, the ironing board and the microwave if you need them. Very clean and comfortable bed! Les mer

This hotel is well situated for travel -- right off the highway. Across the street is a shopping center with Walmart and other large stores. Some upkeep missing. Room light was broken, the phone always registered as busy in the evening when trying to set up wake-up call. Unable to contact front desk -- always busy as well. Front desk staff was friendly. "convenience to civic center"
I needed a place to sleep convenient to the Augusta Civic Center for a convention. The price was right, the bed was comfy. The room had a frig and microwave and free wi-fi. It was very clean. I could walk back and forth to the civic center. Although I ate most of my meals at the convention, the hotel has a restaurant attached for extra convenience. "good stay"
Good stay, nothing fancy. The attached restaurant "Roosters" was nice. The lobby of the hotel had a funny odor. They were booked full the night we were there..asked if we would be willing to stay at another hotel if they paid for it. It was 8:30pm when we checked in and were tired so we said no. Perhaps they over-booked?

"Great hotel but over priced for three star"
The hotel was ok. It had been renovated, but no place for breakfast, except Roosters next door, which wasn't great. I expected much more for what I paid. The price reflected that of a 5 star hotel, in a great area.

"More than I expected -- Civic Center Inn"
This was a pleasant surprise and met my needs perfectly. Very clean and comfortable, especially for the money. In fact, I was on my way home from a trip to a major city in the South where I stayed at a major (supposedly high end) hotel chain, and it is not an exaggeration to say my room here in Augusta was every bit as good as the one there! Additionally, […] the adjacent restaurant had great salads and sandwiches, a good selection of adult beverages -- some local, and a friendly atmophere, and all right next door. The room was very nice, but we chose the hotel because it said it had a pool. The pool, however, was closed for repairs. In addition, the hotel restaurant (which had a big sign indicating that it was open for breakfast, lunch, and dinnner), was not open for breakfast.

We weren't sure what to expect but our decision to stay at the Augusta, ME Civic Center Inn was right on. This Inn is close to I95, shopping, restaurants and more. In fact, it has a Roosters Restaurant next door. We had lunch there and were impressed with their offerings and price. We will definitely stay here again when in the area.

I had a good stay at the Augusta Civic Center Inn, the only thing i was disapointed in was the pool was not open for the season yet & it was the middle of June...that was quite a bummer!

"the augusta civic center inn"
the price was right but did have a few problems...first of all there is NO sign attached to the hotel. if i hadnt seen a picture of it i would not have known that it was a hotel. the gentleman (young man with ponytail) who checked me in was less than courteous...he checked me in to a first floor room and when i mentioned that i preferred a second floor […] room he kind of rolled his eyes at me,snatched the key out of my hand and then made the room change. as previous visitors mentioned there was a distinct smell of cigarette smoke in the hallways (fortunately not mine). there was no ice machine on the second floor and no signs as to where the machine was on the first floor. the room itself was pretty clean, the bed was comfortable but the drapes did not pull shut so i had early morning light. lastly the continental breakfast was not very appetizing...a few pastries and pieces of fruit with a couple of coffee pots i certainly have had better and since the hotel is connected to a restaurant i had hoped for more. for the price it wasnt horrible but with a few changes it could be a gem in the rough...right now it just in the rough...! Stayed here while working in the area, very comfortable rooms with fridge and micro. Lacks a good continential breakfast. Other restaurants nearby and nice shopping across the road.

"Hotel at the Augusta Civic Center"
It was a good location, room was clean. The only thing was the hall and rooms smelled of smoke, even thue I was in a non smoking room. Items I did not wear had to be washed because of the smell.

The staff was quite friendly and helpful with directions and recommendations for dining. They welcomed guests from other hotels into the lobby when a minor emergency occurred at a neighboring conference center. The staff went above and beyond for these folks and for me.

Everything went well. Even after I checked out and was across the street at a meeting, they were very hospitable when the convention center we were at had a bomb scare. They allowed us to wait in the hotel and served us coffees.

Very pleasant desk staff. Room was clean, neat, no smoke smell, a far cry from what some places try to call their "no smoking rooms". The attached restaurant - Rooster's Coal-Fired Pizza - was excellent. In-room coffee maker made my spouse happy. Only room complaint was that the heater/AC unit's fan would run all the time and was noisy. It kept the […] set temperature, but the noise was unpleasant. Note that they are in between "branding" - this used to be a Holiday Inn and is about to become a Best Western. Evidence of both was present - the USA Today was labeled as being from Holiday Inn, while the soaps were Best Western. Les mer
