America's Best Inn and Suites - Altamonte Springs

Som avslutning på vår 14 dagers USA tur valgte vi dette hotellet fordi det lå ganske nær flyplassen, og vi skulle levere leiebilen med "tom tank" ?? dagen etter. Vår overraskelse var stor da vi såg hva vi fikk for pengene. Stort rom med kjempeestor seng, kjøleskap, mikrobølgeovn, kaffetrakter...og både kaffe og te, gratis tråløst internett og parkering. […] Dette er jo rett utefor Orlando med alle sine serverdigheter, her kunne en bo rimelig og godt i lang tid, ha det som "base" for turer rundt omkring....men for oss ble det desverre bare 1 natt. AC`en bråkte mye mindre enn i andre hotell, og frokostrommet var stort og romsklig, og med variert mat, av det beste vi har fått på vår 14 dagers tur. Skal man pirke så trengte nok hotellet et ansiktsløft, men tatt i betraktning prisen kan man absolutt ikke klage, for vi var svært spent på om dette var bra nok. Thoroughly disappointed with everything for my 2 week back to back stays. First day was decent but they had no wireless internet and had nothing but 14 cable channels. Advertised HBO but couldn't even get ESPN. Told me it was a power surge that knocked it out but it would be up shortly. Believing that I continued each day to wait for the cable to work […] and it never did. Being stupid I booked again the following week I got a smoking room when I requested you a non smoking room was told there were no more rooms available and again nothing but basic cable. Les mer

swimming pool and breakfast are good

It's a cheap hotel we know that so we didn't expect the best mattresses, or hotel room but I don't care what the price I expect no BUGS. The first room we went into when we turned on the light roaches went scattering all over the tables. We called down to the front desk asked if all of his rooms were like this he stated no. So he gave us another room […] on a different floor and there were roaches in the bathroom so we just dealt with it. Les mer

misleading on cable channels availabliltiy listed as premium when is not. less than 20 channels no espn, fox, msnbc etc

Mae walk in and right back out. This place was dirty out dated and looked unsafe. In the short time I was there I saw the toilet seat chiped rust on the safe box, the shower was gross. We ended driving around till we found another place.

We've had a wonderful stay, the staff and location could not be better. It's safe and secure. It is a slightly older hotel, it used to be a Quality Inn and there are some remnants of that like a logo on a printed sign on the ice machine saying ice is for guests only, and on some of the room keys. We wouldn't hesitate about coming back if needed. It's […] been a great stay for a reasonable price as we've looked for a place to live in the Orlando area with my new job down here. Les mer

Its great for a budget stay, nothing more.

the room smelled of urine, the paint was peeling from the walls and the carpetfelt covered in a slime. it was horrible! there was drunks throwing up outside our room all night and staff did nothing

decent for price, if cable works and bugs are gone, its a pretty good deal

Locks did not work; could not enter the room. Finally cancelled reservation and went to another motel. I want my money back!

The stay was fine except for the roaches in the room behind the night stand and in the bathroom. The biggest ones were in the bathroom.

Creepy people around and in the hotel.. The room smells like an ashtray and sheets had cigarette burns and the guy who checked me in had an attitude. But I guess I got what I paid for.

i should have sleep in my car. i could not sleep when i walked in the room and found bugs on the bathroom floor and on top of the desk. i did report to the front desk that they needed to bomb room. the breakfast was the only good thing. would never stay here again....

Great for the price, you get what you pay for,and this hotel is great for this price

I always stay @ this location, the price is great but i think they can really improve maintenance part of the hotel. The carpets in the rooms really need to be shampoo or cleaned, if you walk on the carpet bare footed your feet are so black and dirty plus it will improve the smell of the rooms. It was great they change the name on the hotel but they […] really need to do a make over or remodel all the rooms. I hope they make some changes soon because i stay @ this location at least five to six time out of the year. Les mer

The hotel is OK considering the rate they are charging. Don't count on breakfast though.

cockroaches on wall and door, ants on sink..... exterior and common interior walls in poor condition......most importantly, elevator in poor condition; smell of hot oil, rickety,grafitti on walls and NO POSTED INSPECTION CERTIFICATE!!!!! However, mattresses and pillows were very comfortable.

missing ammeneties such as no rooms had coffee/tea makers and had very limited breakfast selection.but room was convenient to I 4 and was quiet.

Upon entering our room, it smelled of mildew. The deadbolt on the door did not work and there was an inch and a half gap under the door. Allowing all kinds of FL pests indoors. The shower was molded along with the ceiling in the bathroom. Dead bugs were on the floor. There were no phone books in the room for convenience of locating dining establishments. […] Not even a welcome packet which usually includes this information. After reporting to the front desk that the deadbolt did not work I was told that the deadbolt was to insure that the non english speaking maids did not enter your room because they couldn't read the "do not disturb" sign. I ask for another room, but none were available. I was told that maintanence would look at it when they came in at 8:00 a.m. I really am not sure if they checked it or not, as I was not in the room. Upon returning to the room, the deadbolt still did not work. We stayed one more night in the same room. The next night I ask for another room. Unfortunately the conditon of this room was not much better. The mildew smell and mold in the bathroom were still a part of our stay. The pool was green so we did not use it. The breakfast ends at 9:00 a.m. so we missed it the first day. I will not be using this hotel again. Les mer

My Family and I rented 3 rooms for 2 nights stay a wk. before the trip,We ck inn 12;45am and did not now the condition of this Hotel or what we will face in this Hotel later that night , the mattresses not that good but we are not in a 4 or 5 star Hotel we understood that, then big surprise my daughter saw a roach and kill it and after started seen […] them all over we killed 6 in total, we called front desk ?? sorry no more rooms and then was so late to get out and my wife was sleep so this was such a long night, next morning we all refused to stay because of this conditions My family hated this Hotel. Hotel is older, and has expected wear and tear, but frankly so do most other budget hotels, that is why they are budget. The room was huge and comfortable. The man at the front desk who checked me in was so polite and welcoming. The pool was just outside my door, and was well maintained and full of guests relaxing. The hotel was conveniently located […] to both downtown Orlando, and the Sanford Auto Train Station. I'd easily recommend this hotel as a decent place to stay, while also staying within your travel budget! Les mer

Service- front desk agent at check-in was busy playing games on his personal computer when there was clearly work to be done. None of the employees offered a smile. After a long drive, I was happy to finally be checking into our room. I looked the room over to assure there was not discuss given the rate I was paying. The first night, I overlooked the […] bugs in the room since "I was in Florida." I had to switch rooms because the "free wifi" did not work in the first room. The second room seemed a bit more updated and clean, but that proved to be false when we came back after an evening of visiting family. I had seen a couple of small cockroaches in the first room, but nothing too disgusting. When we arrived back to the hotel, the kids were wiped from our long day and immediately went to bed. My husband went in the bathroom and asked me to check out what he was looking at.....HUGE black cockroaches. I am not exaggerating when I tell you that they were 2 to 3 inches long. Not only that; there was not just a couple, but multiples. This was not something I was willing to share my room with. Continental breakfast left much to be desired. Book at the Howard Johnson across the street. The staff is much more friendly, the rooms are much cleaner and more updated....and there are NO bugs to share your space with!!! Les mer

BED BUGS FOUND IN BED!

This hotel was a hell hole!!!! I would not recommend this to anyone. they screwed up my reservation and I ended up sleeping with my 12 year old son (I'm mom) instead of us getting 2 double beds. the place is filthy and totally broken down. I have plenty of pics that I will be sharing soon as a review of this hotel. Needs to be torn down and rebuilt. […] This place was a total waste of money. Les mer

Poor breakfast planning. All food gets over very early . No Wifi in most rooms unlike what they advertise.

This location of America's Best Inn & Suites is within easy driving distance of Orlando, Florida's attractions and the Orange County Convention Center. As a tourist center -- particularly at the time of Spring Breaks trips -- the motel costs in Orlando are very pricey. This motel may very well have been one of the first Holiday Inns to have been built […] in Florida...and the conditions of the building in general and particularly the elevator testify to a hard 50+ years of existence. However, my room was clean, the water was hot, and both the TV and A/C worked... The price of the room was indeed a very good value. Les mer

Hotel was pretty clean - only 2 cigarette burns on the comforter. No complaints. Cont. breakfast was good - milk & juices were cold. Good variety. Good value for the money.
