Great & friendly staff. Very clean. Great service - best massage ever, rental car delivered to the hotel, many more examples. Short walk past the pools & a short path to the beach. Great views! Great beach! Great decision for us to go there!

We had a wonderful stay at the Anacaona. It was our anniversary and they put a complimentary bottle of prosecco in our room with a lovely hand-written note. Very friendly and helpful staff. This hotel is a quick walk down a path to one of the most beautiful beaches in Anguilla, which is shared with the Viceroy Hotel (much more expensive hotel). Imagine what a perfect Caribbean hotel would include. I wanted a beautiful beach, a hotel with some local character, attentive but laid back staff, a gentle breeze keeping the bedroom cool and to fall asleep to the sound of the waves. I was most impressed by the staff at the Anacaona. They were all so kind and courteous. They make everyone feel so very welcome. I was down in Anguilla for a wedding where most events took place at the Viceroy. I am so happy that I stayed at the Anacaona instead

Raquel was the greatest! The small touches are what set this hotel apart. When we arrived the cool lavendar scented towel and rum punch took the edge off the long trip. I was there for carnival and I will go back.

From the moment we arrived until we left, the staff and management could not have been friendlier! The new owners are spending money to improve the grounds and everything was freshly painted. One area that could use improvement is accessibilty to beach...walking down and back up a rocky path was a little shaky. Jr. Suite was worth it- we have 3 kids and it was plenty of room for us. The best part was friendly staff. very good service-they learned our names and were very nice. They worked hard- i never experienced "island time" like i have at many other island resorts- where the service is so poor-. Cute pool my kids loved. The Anacaona is not a bad hotel. The grounds are beautiful and lead down toward the beach, which turns out to be a longer walk along a back road than I would have imagined. The hotel was basically clean, but I certainly had no luxurious beddiung or decor to justify calling it a Boutique Hotel. The Anacaona hotel may not be the five star hotel, but the hotel is very clean and the staff is fantastic. The food was also great and reasonably priced. I would definitely recommend stay there if you are looking for a great bargain.

First time staying at this mead beach hotel. Excellent, Staff was very good, Food was excellent and the amenities were wonderful. Beach service was very good. I also liked the quiet and ambiance of the lobby. Will stay again in future.

Our room on the third floor was spacious, clean and comfortable with a partial ocean view. The hotel has no elevators. Anacaona is not on the beach, but the walk to Mead's Bay is very short, thru the gardens and along an unpaved and uneven backstreet, so mind where you are stepping. The beach was nice, frankly not the best on the island, and during […] our stay it was windy and swimming looked insensible. We found that when the wind blows the sand does too. We retreated to the more sheltered environment of the pool, but the water there was frankly frigid. Mornings and evenings there is a fair amount of noise from the proximity of a well travelled roadway. New owners have been in place for 18 months and refurbishment is still in progress. Anacaona has aways to go to become all that it can or could be, and there are a few glitches here and there. For now it offers a reasonable alternative to the more activity oriented and pricey accommodations elsewhere on the island. We noticed few guests dining in and quickly understood why. Food was pricey and the short menu got boring after a week's stay because it never changed. There are plenty of good restaurants nearby but you will need a rental car. Repeat: rent a car! Taxis are expensive and a trip out for dinner can run $40 or more just to get where you are going. Rental cars run 40-50$ per day, $20 for a mandatory temporary drivers license. Anguilla is a quiet island, has very friendly people, is safe, but frankly is quite expensive. Les mer

This hotel has a wonderful bar set in the main lobby in front of a beautiful pool. the staff re among the friendliest most accomadating and helpful i,ve ever encountered. it is a short walk to the beach down a beautiful path and We consider Meads bay Beach the best beach on this island . the resteraunts in the immediete area are some of the best on […] the island. The only negative is that the rooms which are in the process of being upgraded need some work ;they are very clean and you cant beat the price. You cannot beat this location at this price. The hotel is directly next to the Viceroy, and very close to the Frangiapani, yet way less than half the price of both! You don't get all the amenities you would if you were staying at either of the above hotels, but that's not what I look for when on vacation. And by amenities, I mean there isn't drink service […] at the beach or pool. You can fill out a form and they will bring you lunch at the beach at your specified time. The only reason I gave this a 4 for location, is because if you don't want to spend and arm and a leg on food then you should rent a car. If you don't mind spending a lot on food and are content to stay at the most beautiful beach in Anguilla then ignore my 4 for location, and give it a 5! I gave it a 3 for comfort of my room, b/c the bed was hard. Not hard by European standards, but by American standards it was a hard bed, but this is a British Territory so I would expect to find a hard European bed there. Everything else was wonderful. The grounds were lovely, and the room was just the right size, and the A/C was perfect. And on Mondays they have a welcome reception with food and drinks, also every day at 5 pm they bring a pineapple sorbet to the people laying by the pool, don't miss it, it's delicious! Les mer

This hotel represents great value, an affordable Anguilla property in a great location. Meads Bay is one of the best beaches in Anguilla. It is uncrowded and lovely. The hotel rooms are very comfortable with great linens and beds. There are very nice touches added to make this a true Anguillan hotel experience including Thursday night folklife show […] and buffet. The staff in the restaurant and bar were extremely friendly, responsive, and helpful. You can tell it is a well managed hotel. I would definitely recommend it and stay there again. It is also very close to Cove Bay Beach and Rendezvous Bay - both extraordinary beaches. Les mer

The hotel was well situated and much nicer than expected. The services was great and the landscaping was nice and a pleasant retreat from the sunny white beaches. A couple of nice pools too. Probleme d'intimité dans les chambres: rideaux trop petit et bais vitrées en mauvais état difficile à fermer.L'ensemble de l'hôtel est très propre et le personnel adorable! Par contre le restaurant est très médiocre!
