My family has stayed in the Tower at this resort for eight years, and dreams did come true! This year, the concierge was horribly rude, our room had no heat, the television did not work. The maintenence guys were very nice! We were not offered another room at any time. The monorail was not up and running for early park hours because of the cold weather. […] We "wasted" lots of money this year. We will not be staying here again. Les mer

I cannot believe I stayed at the Contemporary at the price I paid......I expected to be stuck in a back room with no view. Everything was first class including the view. What a great way to get the best of both worlds. Thanks Hotels.com

nice rooms, great location however it appears to be old and in need of upgrade in public areas. great food in the 15th floor restaurant and great views of the castle

Great hotel with exceptionally easy access to Disney (via monorail, water taxi or by foot). Rooftop dining was pricey but had a great view of the Magic Kingdom fireworks display - get there early. Lots for the kids to do and see. i highly recommend this hotel.

1. UNCOMFORTABLE BED. I felt as if the mattress were tilted, and I had to keep moving my body to the middle to keep from feeling like I was going to roll off it. 2. BATHROOM: VERY TINY WORKING SPACE. If you are interested in time at The Magic Kingdom, it is the best place to stay. Walking distance, a great pool, lovely rooms and good restaurants on site.

First time at Disney and it was amazing. The Contemporary was awesome. The view of the fireworks over magic kingdom was truly beautiful. Hotel staff were wonderful and accomodating. Hotel is well kept, extremely clean and the monorail very convenient. Nothing but wonderful things to say about this hotel!

Wonderful time and experience plus convenient too!

This hotel is perfect for a family with young children. It was close enough for me to take my children back to the hotel to take a nap and return back to the park. We enjoyed everything about it except Contempo Cafe which had the worst food. The Wave Restaurant at this hotel is a bit pricey, but worth the money. We will definitely be staying here again […] in the future. Les mer

The hotel was everything we expected. It did not have the feelof "old" looking. We hadroom 4545 on the 9th floor, the view was spectacular. we saw and heard the fireworks from our room.Spectacular.

After the refurb, the rooms are very nicely finished and the hotel in general is good. The food is petty expensive, but nothing you wouldn't find in other disney hotels. Having the monorail come through the hotel is really convenient, but you have to go round the long way to get to Magic Kingdom, so walking is quicker. My only complaint was the swimming […] pool, my kids are both 6 and we live in Florida with a pool, they are both good swimmers, but one of the 6 life guards (for the 4 or 5 swimmers) came over and told me she had nearly had to rescue one of my kids twice and that if I wasn't in the pool with them, they needed to wear life vests. I told her I was watching all the time and at no time was my son in need of help (he really wasn't) - she basically gave me attitude and said tough - there was nothing about life vests in the rules. Some great example of freedom of choice - reminds me of one of the things I hate the most about the US, it's a free country with more rules than any where else in the worl! Les mer

I stayed here years ago when I was a kid. They've since gone through some changes. On the good side the rooms are more comfortable & stylish than ever. Whoever did the most recent interior design renovation did a beautiful job. Rooms are very comfortable and plush. On the negative side the game room has been downsized and a lot of the areas originally […] devoted for kid fun stuff has now been converted to conference rooms. The food at the buffet is also not so great (as well as overpriced). Still, the architecture of this hotel is unique and remains futuristic looking even 40 years after it was built. Les mer

Our room was as far from the convention center as you can get - which was super inconvenient and uncomfortable as half of the path was outside and it was rainy or yucky humid our entire stay. (November) The room showed wear and the bathroom corners were filthy, as was the bathroom wall. The worst part of the room was the smell of sulfur in the water, […] which was so pervasive I felt as though I wore it home. I would not stay here by choice. I have stayed down the street at the Buena Vista Palace and it wins for convenience, ambience and unsmelly water. Les mer

We just returned from Walt Disney World and I simply can not say enough wonderful things about Disney. The whole place is just so well run. Every single employee knew the answers to any question we had, regardless of whether they were in a hotel, park or monorail. Every employee -again, regardless- called our daughters as princesses after their Cinderella […] make over. WDW is all about quality and detail! Les mer

The location of this hotel cannot be beat. Transportation was a breeze. Our room had a couple lightbulbs out and the sliding door didn't lock, but this was corrected in a timely manner. The room was spacious and very comfortable for four. We were in the Garden Wing along the lake and it was peaceful and out of the way. We did hear the ferry boat horns […] but this didn't disturb us. We stayed here because my husband wanted to stay at the hotel where the monorail came directly into the hotel as seen on the opening to the Wonderful World of Disney that we watched when we were kids. It is very convenient to have the monorail right there at the hotel especially if you are going to Epcot which we did. We had a lovely room -- much, much […] larger than expected. First time I've stayed here but will certainly come back. We were in the 'older' Garden Wing but still felt like the room was well appointed and very clean. My 7 year old loved the pool complex and the variety of activities. Great view of the WDW fireworks. And you just can't beat the convenience of walking right on the Monorail. Chef Mickey's character […] breakfast is always a hit for the little ones. Les mer

Awesome hotel and very convenient to Magic Kingdom. Young children will love the monorail system that runs through the hotel. The hotel has so much to offer, a great pool, mini speed boats to rent, game room, good restaurants and very comfortable and spacious rooms.

One of the best hotels I have ever stayed at. Hotel staff were very friendly and extremely helpful. We felt very safe traveling with out two young children. The hotel was quiet but definately family friendly.

A fantastic weekend away at a magical place. The Hotel fit right into the overall experience.

Great stay all around! Monorail runs right through the hotel, just takes a minute to get to disney. Staff was very accommodating and friendly. Cafe is open until midnight, which was great if you are hungry or need something after a long day at the park. Also, pool area was great.

After checking into my room that had two full size beds I called the front desk to get a king bed which is what I had requested on my reservation. I was told the hotel was full and I could not be moved. I was also placed in a handicapped accessible room that had an open shower in the bathroom and everytime we used the shower it would flood the bathroom. I […] was shocked by the lack of service so I called the hotel reservations to see if the hotel was indeed full and I was told that they had rooms available. I also asked for a hour extension for checkout and was denied. Les mer

Proximity to Magic Kingdom is as advertised, short 5 min walk. Very usefull if leaving Magic Kindom park at closing as there is no need for bus or tram lineups (although there wasn't a tram lineup at 11:30pm in May). In our case, very convenient to return for an afternoon nap. Stayed with a toddler. From the moment we arrived the hotel and staff were […] kid friendly and gets thumbs up from myself and my 3 yr. old. Given the price, I expected a more upscale room. Room was a little worn (based on my high expectation), but overall quite clean and acceptable. The room we stayed in wasn't too "toddler" friendly, more of a business design. Had to keep a good eye on her. Will likely stay again, but will try to book earlier this time to save money. Les mer

This hotel was lovely. Our only inconvenience was that our room was far, far away from the tower bldg. and the monorail. I picked this hotel as a convenience to our adult daughter who is handicapped. So the distance from hotel restaurants and transportation was an inconvenience. But I should have asked for something closer to the amenities when I booked […] the room. My fault. Les mer

Our stay was pleasant over all however there were some disappoinments which I didn't expect especially when it has the Disney name attached to it... The rooms lighting is limited making it rather dark. There is no counter space in the bathroom only under the sink not much counterspace for a family of 4. the sheets were rough not higher end quality sheets […] more like sheets from a cheap hotel and the bed was rather uncomfortable. The comforters were dingy and decorative pillows were dirty & stained. My husband called room service for a bottle opener after 15 min. he called and told them to forget it since they had not come. They showed up over an hour later our family was already asleep and woke our children up! Our room was located on the 8th floor directly above Chef Mickey's it was very noisy making it very difficult to fall asleep @ night I kept hearing the Happy Birthday song way after 10pm and wouldn't let me sleep I'm not normally in bed @ 10pm however we had reservations @ Chef Mickey's for 7am & then were heading to Magic Kingdom so I was hoping to get some R&R...The wait times for an elevator was quite long! Lat but not least our experience @ Chef Mickey's was just not what it used to be. Everytime we visit the Orlando area we take our children to Chef Mickey's for breakfast this time the food was not very good. The eggs were runny, they had tater tots rather than hasbrowns which were hard as rocks and the food was just very poor quality not what you'd expect from Disney not to mention the hefty price you pay for a little eggs & o.j.They also sat us on the out skirts of the restaurant near the food not in the dining room didn't even feel like we were a part of the character dining. The staff was freindly and the convenience of being so close to Magic Kingdom was very nice. Overall we had a nice stay Les mer

Some great things about the hotel: we were able to remain parked there after checking out of the hotel to enjoy another day at the theme parks. Also we were able to enjoy "Breakfast with the Characters" although we were unable to secure reservations the night before. There was also a cute light show on the water that we could see (and hear)from our […] balcony. And the transportation provided to the four Disney Parks we visited was great. My daughter and I enjoyed our stay, but have stayed at less expensive hotels in the area that were more plush, but then again what was missing in amenities, was made up for in location, location, location. location,,,location,,,location we have stayed at several locations throughout disney, and the use of the tram right outside your room was the best. the hotel had a choice of four locations to eat.

As a Deluxe Disney Resort, The Contemporary does not disappoint. I wasn't sure what expect from the Garden Wing, as it was not located within the main building, but our room was only a short walk to the hotel main lobby and monorail station. The Garden Wing is really showing its age. While walking to our room after check in, we noted peeling wall paper, […] cracks along the baseboards, and worn carpet. However, the room itself was clean and tidy. The shower left a bit to be desired... very poor water pressure and the adjuster sprayer continuously slid down. It is one of the best hotel's I ever stayed at. It just seemed like that was where the fun was at. Very clean.

Disney Hotel on the Monorail was very nice for the price, but their Concierge staff are EXTREMELY limited BY Disney to what they can tell you about other areas and even their own attractions. It was very nice due to the HOTEL.COM price, but I'd probably not stay there again if I had to book Disney's exorbitant pricing.

Fast service with check in and room service. We paid for a basic room in the Garden Wing. We were randomly chosen as "Family of the Day" and upgraded to a 3 room suite in the Garden Wing. We liked the Wing b/c we didnt have to deal with elevator traffic. Our 4 and 6 year old loved the pool. The hotel has a 7pm showing of a Disney movie on the beach […] every night. Easy access to parks. Friendly and courteous staff! Highly recommend. Les mer

Nice, clean hotel. Garden view room was a bit of a walk to the main hotel where the monorail was located. Also needed to take elevator or 2 escaltors to reach monorail. Pool and beach area at resort was very lovely.
