Happy with my decision in choosing this hotel. Good combination of price VS. quality. OK staff, OK room, OK price, OK parking(little bit expensive as expected in that area). Not the best breakfast has to be mentioned. But couldn't have asked for a better location. Especially for a tourist.

Av de 4 ukene vi var på ferie i USA var vel dette det hotellet med den dårligste kundeservicen. Trodde også at standarden skulle være noe bedre med tanke på prisen og framstillingen av hotellet. Du kan trykt velge dette hotellet, helt greit å bo der, men det finnes sikkert noe som er bedre...

Servicen var dårlig! Vi spurte om de kunne fikse en taxi til oss, men nei, vi måtte gå ut og få tak i en selv. Vi spurte også om de kunne hjelpe oss med å skrive ut et dokument, men det var ikke aktuelt. Vi fikk ta bussen i 4 minutter ned til et kopieringssenter! Rommene var helt ok, det samme med resten av hotellet. Frokosten var ikke mye å skryte […] av. Det eneste pålegget de hadde var syltetøy og egg + utvannet juice. Frokosten ble pakket ned på sekundet halv ti da frokosten var ferdig. Du fikk ikke lov å hente deg en kaffekopp eller et glass juice hvis klokken var 1 minutt over halv, eller 10 sekunder for den saks skyld. Ellers var det bare 20 min å gå ned til Fishermans Warf og Pierene. Les mer

Fint, greit og ryddig hotell. God service fra de ansatte, godt busstilbud til alle deler av byen. Ligger i 10-15min gange til Fishermans warf, noe usentralt ift resten av byen men bussene tar deg hvor som helst

beautiful bay views!!! great hotel, but the staff wasnt all that great....nothing specific-they just werent that pleasant. but overall, a great stay!

We had a very nice stay at the Comfort Inn. The rooms were clean, the view of the bay was awesome, and starting off the day with the complimentary breakfast was nice. The location was great because you were close to everything and even got to a point where we knew the bus system and paid a minimal fee to get back to the hotel at night and the stop was […] only two blocks away from hotel(bus 47). I'd recommend this hotel to anyone. It's beds are clean and comfortable plus offers a great view of Golden Gate. Location was only a few blocks from the wharf and only about 2 blocks (steep blocks) from Lombard street. Breakfast was also very good. Waffles etc. My only complaint is I wish we didn't have to pay $26/night parking... ouch. Parking should […] be free. We didn't know SF well enough to know if we had any other option for parking. This hotel had great views, in a good location. But the rooms were not well maintained, the staff were hit or miss when it comes to customer service. We had two lamps that didn't work, we reported it when we got there and were assured they would be looked at, but when we checked out two days later nothing had been done. It is what it is - an old comfort in that they do their best with. Breakfast is convenient. Location is convenient. Great veiw, decent price.

A good hotel in a pretty nice neighborhood within walking distance to Fisherman's Wharf, Lombard Street, Ghirardelli Square and the bay. Comfortable and clean. The breakfast was good with an adequate selection of pastries and cooked items. The hotel was not bad. Parking was terrible and small. Once I parked in there garage there was no way I was leaving till the end of the stay because it was such a hassle. Front end staff could have been kinder. When I checked in they acted like it was a hassle to do there job. It is a older hotel but maintained.

Check in was suppose to be at 4pm, did not get our room until 420. The customer service representative (a woman) was very rude and unfriendly. She refused to answer my questions about the hold up. I was not the only customer waiting for their room. They then served other customers who came in after my family and I and ignored us until I went up to the […] counter and demanded our room. The hotel is nice. Clean, smoke free, over all was a good hotel. We were on a street side which was loud when morning traffic hit. Good location, beds were ok. We would stay here again and avoid the rude customer service person. They do charge a $75 deposit when you check in that is refundable but I was not told about it until check in. They also charge you for the in room safe but you can also get that refunded (another thing I was not told about). You pat for parking by the night, and they have their own parking garage, its a little scary to park in it though. Its small and cramped but is better than getting a ticket. Les mer

The hotel staff was friendly and helpful with directions or suggestions for things to do in the area. The breakfast buffet was nice, not extensive but adequate and included. My only complaint was the coffee pot in the room did not work, but not an issue since the buffet was open. I would recommend this one to a friend and stay there again.

Very noisy outside and inside. Breakfast: dry english muffins, waffles, no bagels or cream cheese. Rooms and halls not sound proof at all. Big disappointment. With a larger vehicle, parking is very difficult in this garage.

The location of this hotel is good and the size of the room is good. My biggest complaint is the sheets. They looked like they were cheap when they were bought (maybe 20 years ago?!) but they were also so worn that you could see through them! It felt gross to sleep in that bed! Very nice .... Although we did not spend a lot of time I. The room, it was nice and clean. The staff was very Friendly and helpful. I will stay there again.

We enjoyed our stay at the Comfort Inn. Although the rooms could use some redecorating, everything else was good. The staff was friendly, the free breakfast was more than adequate and the view of the Golden Gate Bridge was awesome. Our city tour picked us up right at the door and the same with the airport shuttles. It is within walking distance of Lombard […] St. - crookedest street!. Les mer

It's a Comfort Inn, not much else to say about the hotel itself. Room was clean, bed was comfortable, and shower was hot. Staff was ok. Breakfast is decent; waffle maker with some toast and muffins. Don't expect to eat their every day unless you hate yourself, and avoid the eggs at all costs (gross!). The hotel is in a good location. Safe area, somewhat […] noisy when you walk outside since it's on a main road, but I never heard any traffic noise in my 9th floor room. The hotel is about a 10-15 minute walk to Fisherman's Wharf. There are multiple bus stops nearby that will get you anywhere you want to go. Be sure to buy a City Pass or at least a MUNI pass so you can ride all you want. I rode at least 7 different buses for a total of over 20 trips during my 5 day stay. This hotel is NOT near a subway. Take the BART to any of the stops in the downtown area along Market (avoid Civic Center stop, when you come out of the station there are bums EVERYWHERE) and then catch a bus. Montgomery is a good stop and I believe it's the 30 bus nearby that will take you right next to the hotel at Chestnut and Van Ness (if I remember right). Use Google Maps on your smartphone and you will have no trouble getting around the city. Les mer

Great location, walking distance to fisherman's wharf, Union St., and Chestnut for great shopping and restaurants.

This hotel is an excellent choice, especially for those who are looking for a not expensive hotel in San Francisco. Location is good. However, if you are not used to long walking distance you may need to use cabs to move around, e.g. 30 min. by food from Fisherman's Wharf. Room is clean and it has everything you need. We only missed a refrigerator, […] but this is normal in a 2 star hotel. Les mer

I thought it would be closer to pier 39. But overall it worked out great, especially with double decker tour buses stopping right there. It made accessable to everywhere in San Francisco.

The hotel is located quite conveniently and service was good. We didn't get a room with a view and apparently to upgrade, we had to pay extra. Only peeves were that there was a mess of wires on the room floor - that could have been better organized; and our room was close to the ice vending machine which was pretty noisy.

Would have enjoyed being able to see Sharks on TV but Comcast was not available.. Breakfast was very goode once we found out how to make waffels. Parking very tight in Disabled Section, sure glad awe had a small car. @26 dollars for one night parking is very steep..

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Walking distance to everything. Not the greatest room but served its purpose. Would most definately do it again.

I like the location, neat and quiet, away from the crowded union square or market street but very close to the crooked street and the piers, very good for a morning jogging or walking. A grocery with a variety of wine selection and hot sandwich is just around the corner. The restaurant, "Bobo's the Steak," cross the street, is also nice (though price […] is relative high.) The twin-bed room on 4th floor is small and dark, electronic connection is not stable. I paid more to upgrade to a room on the top floor with a view of the bridge and the bay, definitely worth it. Enjoyed my stay in San Fran and the hotel was good but nothing overly special. Parking was $26/Day plus tax extra, breakfast was decent but nothing fancy, no printer available (had to go down the street 10 blocks when I needed to print something last minute. The location was further from Fishermans wharf than I anticipated. Just barely on the edge of […] the district. Just little things though, no real complaints or anything major. Did have an amazing view of the Bay and the Golden Gate bridge. Les mer

Very good stay.........I would recommend to anyone visiting the Fisherman's Wharf area. Parking garage is very tight, better have a compact size car.

This hotel was clean, had friendly staff, and in a good location walking distance to Pier 39. Continental breakfast was pretty good compared to some other places I've stayed at. The dining room was always full with guests and they had a good variety of food. Breakfast included help with savings for our vacation. The room we got was postage-stamp size, with a standard-size bed (i.e. full), although we had booked and paid for what was listed on the site as a Standard Queen Bed. When I complained about this discrepancy, the management insisted that it was indeed a queen-size bed, and wouldn't back down on this. Our room was on the 9th floor, it had a nice view of the Golden Gate bridge. The room was nice and clean, the staff was very polite and friendly. It was a long walk to Fisherman's wharf, but we did not mind.

We got what we expected: a clean room at "Comfort Inn" Standard at a very good location (near Fishermens Wharf, cable car and buses to downtown) with a full breakfast included. The hotel is easy to find, located at the 101 Van Ness avenue with a lot of traffic. Though the good condition of the building and our room on level 9 this was no problem (don't […] know how it is in the rooms on lower levels). Our room price was therfore 10$ higher, but we had a marvellous view of the Golden Gate. It was was worth to pay little more. The staff was mostly helpful and professional. The only thing to complain is the very expensive parking in the hotel garage: We paid 26$ per day for our car. This was more expensive than at the Hilton in LA and we didn't know about that when we were booking our room. But overall: thumb up. We would return. Les mer

It was worth it to pay a bit more to get a bridge view room. Room was clean and comfortable, some traffic noise but you're in a city. Continental breakfast is good, the room is small and it gets crowded at peak time 0800 - 0830ish. The plus is share a table and get to meet someone new. Overall good location, 10 min from the Wharf.

Furniture was a bit shabby. Old style air conditioner/heater instead of central heating/ cooling in the room. Parking garage was very tight, but I was prepared for that. On the positive side, the staff was helpful and friendly and the location was great.

We arrived at night and were a little concerned about the neighborhood initially, but the room was very clean and comfortable. The cot we requested was already set up as we had asked. When we woke in the morning, we were treated with a view of the bay--from the Golden Gate bridge to Ghiradelli Square and the passing ship traffic. The location although […] not in Fisherman's Wharf, was a 5 minute walk downhill to it. The cable car to Union Square is 2 blocks over. The California line was available by taking any bus down VanNess to California--the stop was right there. We bought a 3 day MUNI pass for $21/person at the cable car station which gave us 3 days of unlimited cable car rides and all buses. From the hotel front door we were able to catch a bus in just about any direction we wanted in 5 minutes or less, including back to our hotel from behind Ghiradelli Square. Another plus was the at the hop-on/hop-off bus we took had a stop at a hotel 2 blocks away so we didn't even have to go to the Wharf to buy tickets or start the tour. Housekeeping gets an A+. We always returned with the room done and neat as a pin--I left a note most days requesting additional supplies and these were always provided. I requested the cot be removed on the day before last and it was gone within 10 minutes of the request. The free breakfast, although the same everyday, was extremely varied, fresh and easy, and included several hot items. Great coffee for which there were mugs and to go cups. Friendly and helpful breakfast staff who went promptly to get anything that was missing or that we needed. When we stepped out of our room the first day we were shocked by the number of people there because the room had been so quiet we thought we were the only ones on the floor. Great international population--we enjoyed visiting with and seeing folks from all over. This hotel was really solid, clean, consistent and well-located.
