As others have pointed out, this hotel "shares" the parking lot with an adult store. What is also true is that the parking lot is also used by truck drivers as a sleep-over. However the hotel do have about 90 feet of its own parking space before the above mentioned parking lot. The rooms themselves are great! Big, clean and good beds. Bathrooms are also big, with a combined shower/tub. Be sure to bring your own food/water though.

"Days Inn - Mount Hope"
We got in for a good price with booking early which was nice but it was just ok. Our refridgerator in the room was not plugged in, when you opened it - it smelled horrible. The breakfast was adequate but not kept up and was messy. Ok for a quick night, personally, our family would not return.

"you definitely get what you pay for"
The location was relatively convenient for the purpose of our trip (i.e. we couldn't find anything closer in our price range), but the entire facility needs much upgrading. Hallway corridor carpet looked dirty and floor squeaked when you walked on it. Found a tray covered with some kind of mildew-covered unknown substance in one of the dresser drawers […] (wonder when it was last cleaned?), the coffee maker didn't work right (overflowed all over the counter) and there were no creamer/sugar packets, glass tray missing from inside of microwave (but it did work, we used a piece of cardboard instead), lots of trouble getting the wi-fi to work (but it eventually did), burn holes all over the bed comforter (it was a smoking room but didn't expect burn holes), exhaust fan at the indoor pool was so loud you had to yell to talk to someone 3 feet away. For the price, good value. felt safe, good service, no bedbugs, clean, Easy to get to. Would stay here again.
"Last resort"
We only booked this room for two nights because it was in a convenient location for our plans. First off, the smoke detector was completely disassembled. I inquired about it and got a it;s being fixed answer. What if there were a fire. Beds were not made up when we returned to room the next day. Poor service. You get what you pay for.

The room was dirty and had a thick smell of smoke, it was a non smoking room. the tolet appeared not to be cleaned from the last user. the check in process was fast and the room was ready, not very clean but ready. There were no rooms available in the area that night so we had to take what we could or sleep in the car.
"Not a good value for your money"
It served its purpose for a night but the appearance was not good. The room door did not close smoothly, it had to be literaly pushed hard to close. The lock would get stuck so you could easily break a sweat only with the door. The breakfast was okay. The excercise room has 3 machines.

Coffee maker was dirty and carelessly placed in a bathroom. Refrigerator was not working and no one came even after informing at the desk. Breakfast was also not attractive. Overall i don't see any reason to go there again.
"Not the worst hotel"
For the ratings, it's pretty accurate. The staff are friendly and helpful. There is no elevator to the upper level but they relocated our room so we wouldn't have to haul everything up the stairs. The room was clean, however it was very outdated. The pool could have been cleaner. All in all it was an okay place to crash for the night.

I stayed here for a week while I looked for a permanent location to move to. It had lots of homey touches like a fridge, microwave, coin laundry, breakfast, coffee maker in the hotel. Unfortunately the fridge had a half-eaten tuna sandwich in it from the last customer which make me question the cleanliness of the rest of the room. The curtain rod was […] installed incorrectly in the shower and there would be water all over the floor whenever I took a shower. But it was close and I got a good deal on the rate so overall I was happy with my stay. Les mer

"Days Inn in Mount Hope West Virginia"
While the lobby area of this hotel was very clean and welcoming, the carpet in the halls leading to the guest rooms was filthy -- it looked as if it hadn't been cleaned in at least a year, maybe more. This was the case on the first and second floors. While we had non-smoking rooms, the halls leading to the rooms reeked of cigarette smoke. The towels […] were worn thin and rough to the touch. Surprisingly, our rooms were very clean upon arrival. However, neither of the two rooms were cleaned on the second day or our stay. We informed the front desk and they made a note of it, but never sent anyone to clean the rooms. We even had to go back to the front desk to get clean towels. Next time, we will pay more to stay at one of the nicer chains in Beckley. Les mer

"You get what you pay for"
This hotel was cheaper than most everything else in the area but you get what you pay for. A lot of shady looking people hanging out around the hotel. Also our "non-smoking" room was anything but. If you are staying one night and want to save money this place is OK.

the price was right and location excellent. however, if you do not smoke, that might be a problem. we were in a non-smoking room, but may as well have been smokers at times, especially if people were standing in the parking lot next to the a/c it was pumped straight into the room. the continental breakfast consisted of cold cereal - sometimes without […] milk because they ran out - donuts, bagels, toast and some fresh fruit. ok - but not exciting for a 10-day stay. the staff was extremely helpful and friendly. overall the experience was good and I would recommend the hotel to anyone staying in the Beckley area. Great location , 10 miles from the New River and all it's activities. Beckley is also very close and has many restaurants and stores. The hotel cleaning staff is a little slow and miss some of the necessary items they are suppose to refill and are not good at vacuuming. "Days Inn Mt. Hope"
The room was very nice and the service was good. We were given only two towels although we had reservations for four. One of the pillows didn't have a case and the bath tub had not been cleaned. A shortage on towels is common place and the other problem was simply a lazy maid. Hoping for better if we return.

i had a great time there. they let u stay in the pool all night. even tho its only 5'5 deep. but overall wouldnt go back. why you say? they stole my kush that was hidden in my bag. i found blond hair all over my room i seen dog hair on the sofa and the shower certain was broken.

"Last best choice when looking for a hotel room"
After being disappointed with a couple other hotels in the area (MicroTel and HoJo), I decided to look for a better one. I had never been to this hotel, but it was pretty nice. The only real complaints I could issue were nothing warm on the hotel continental breakfast and poor layout of the restroom. Overall, I would definitely stay here again.

though the folks cking us in were real nice, our room was right across from ck in desk and so i could hear the phone ring at all hours of the night and early morning...they kept the pool open a little later as guests were arriving late due to inclement weather...the shower leaked down the wall and onto floor so we used a towel to keep from slipping […] in h2o...room appeared clean, but when daylight came in window, dust could be seen all over tv and tv stand...could hear people talking upstairs til midnight or so, which means little or no insulating btween rms...had to request more coffee be made in the am in complimentary continental breakfast area...a lot of carbs, no protein made for stopping for lunch earlier than planned...we've stayed here b4 and prob will again. "A good, cheap overnight stay while traveling"
This hotel receives a "4" rating from me not because it was luxurious, but rather because it served the exact purpose I needed it to: a cheap overnight stay while traveling. I checked in really late and checked out early while on the road traveling and for the price per night, it was exactly what I was looking for. It was clean, comfortable and quiet. "Don't stay at Days Inn in Mount Hope WV!"
The service is terrible when you can't get anyone to answer the phone or help straighten out a situation. The manager John doesn't care enough to answer his calls and even less to return his calls. If you decide to stay because the price is good, remember that you get what you pay for and if it is possible to get more money from you they will!

The staff was very friendly and courteous, and the room was very well kept. The size of the pool was very nice compared to the size of the hotel and was very clean and well maintained. Wifi connection was good and strong, and the amenities were good. The dining/breakfast area was also very nice and roomy. Overall, a VERY good value for the price.

This hotel was perfectly located. It was quiet, clean and easy to find. Located near great resturants but far enough to be quiet. It had a microwave and small fridge which was a plus. The Staff was friendly and continental breakfast was very good. Quick asnd easy check in and check out. If I had to pick a downside it would be that it could use new carpeting.
