"Not as Bad as I was Expecting"
We arrived late and left early, but it was a bit difficult communicating with the management due to some barriers with language. After calling ahead to advise them as to my late arrival, I was not sure if I would be able to get into my room or not. In the end, it was not as bad as i had feared after my initial contact.
"Eureka Travelodge -- a disappointment!"
Good location downtown, right across the street from an incredible health foods co-op. Room had a musty odor to it. Carpeting was wet, radiating from the door 4' - 5' -- which you did not discover until you took your shoes off. No kleenex in the bathroom; TV remote did not work (minor issues, but added to the overall disappointment). Breakfast was also […] disappointing. Overall, a disappointment...would not recommend it. "Basics are right, and it's clean"
Clean, comfortable and gets the job done. Don't go here looking for heavenly plush top mattresses or a jacuzzi. It's a good place to stop, catch some rest and get on.

Motel is old. The heat was either on or off. It was raining and chilly so we put the heat on. Because heater has no thermostat, we slept poorly because room became too hot during the night. Room was relatively clean. Just a place to stay. Nothing more, nothing less

"Eureka Travelodge in Eureka, CA"
Hotel showed its age. Needs a lot of cleaning. Rugs very dirty. Mold forming on the caulking on the shower. Garbage was picked up right outside our bathroom window at 5:50 am...an extremely loud truck banging dumpster. On the positive side the bed was clean as were the towels.

I am a traveling road warrior for my business. I found the Travelodge in Eureka and am so thankful I did. The owners/management do everything they can to always welcome me and make sure my stay is perfect. My room is always clean, fresh, and comfortable. The shower actually beats the Hilton, Marriott, and any other high end hotel. (trust i know i have […] stayed in them all) I like the location as it is directly downtown, and just a few blocks to the beach. If your hungry for great food there is a local co-op food store across the street from the hotel to grab some fresh fruit, bread, and wine then head to the beach. The co-op always has great soups and build your own freshly made sandwiches. This is an ideal location and place to stay. They must be doing something right (outstanding service) as I have to book ahead of time to make sure I get a room. Thank you to the management and staff for all of your hard work and commitment. It was very noisy. A fight broke out a couple of rooms down from us in the middle of the night. The owner/manager? yelled at people smoking outside their motel rooms. We could not turn the heater on, and the hair dryer did not work.

Friendly hosts. Hotel in shady location. Old floors and bed spreads.
Good for one night. They have very friendly staff members. But it's very crouded... like probably every hotel in Eureka.
"OK for price"
Travelodge was convenient, right on US101, rates were good, but neighborhood not so great. The sink in one of our rooms backed up, but the manager came quickly to fix the problem.

The internet didn't work, unless you were outside. shower needs remodeling. I was afraid of getting athelete's foot from it. Other than that it was good for the night.

"Do not stay here!!!"
The desk clerk/owner lied to me and claimed I reserved a smoking room when in fact I did not. I had the confirmation email on my phone stating that I booked a non-smoking room. She said she did not have a non-smoking room available. The room we were given was the worst motel room I have ever stayed in. It was filthy and smelled horribly. This motel […] has not been refurbished ever and it looks like it was built in the '50s. We also had people in the next room that were talking until 3AM which was their business but the walls are paper thin and you can hear everything that is going on in the next room. "good hotel for a quick stay"
It was perfect for what we wanted. clean room..nice lady checking us in...easy parking...a shower and a bed was all that we needed as we drove through town. Nothing special but its worth the price you pay for it. if i were staying for more than a night, i would want somewhere nicer though

Motel was clean. If you need a place to sleep and nothing more this is an OK place to stop.

The woman at the front desk was rude, unprofessional, and loud. The room smelled like a nursing home. She also hiked the rates for the room by $50 because of graduation, which was a little much.

it's a motel.. don't expect anything but a shower to use and a bed to sleep on. this place does have a decent wi-fi connection. walls are thin.

Any hotel I have ever stayed at has been flexible on your arrival time. Check in time for this hotel was 2pm. I arrived at 1:19, and was given a hard time by the hotel manager about checking in. After I pressed, she finally agreed to "check" and see if there were any rooms ready, which of course there were. Being obviously pregnant, and having my toddler […] son with me, arriving in cold whether, the threat of having to wait outside for another 40 minutes was rather offensive. "Good room for the money."
The hotel, wasn't the most comfortable and the breakfast wasn't great either-but for what we paid for, it was decent. The staff was really nice. We only had to stay there for one night, so it was cheap and convenient.

Travelodge is apparently not a name that means quality. We chose this hotel because of its proximity to downtown Eureka and its price (among the cheapest in town). However, I think half the going rate would be closer to a fair price. There wasn't anything precisely wrong with the place, but it didn't feel exactly safe or secure. With a homeless shelter […] within three blocks, there were a lot of transients in the area. Nor did it have the appearance of being particularly clean. I actually wore flip flops in the shower so as to avoid contracting athlete's foot or worse. Furthermore, the sign in the lobby detailed the policy about visitors: none whatsoever in the room. Apparently they have problems with overnight guests? Or teenage parties? Who knows, but when the rules are entire paragraphs, it leaves one with an unsavory feeling. That said, nothing occurred that would prevent me from staying here again, though nothing enticed me to return. In fact, I will likely avoid Travelodge as a name in the future. Les mer

Stayed for one night - the woman at the counter was really friendly. Restaurants nearby. Furniture and everything is old but clean.

Not too great, but ok. Very old hotel. Very noisy in the morning because of traffic. The receptionists do their best to provide the best service though. Breakfast was served in the tiny lobby but had to be taken up to the room. It was cornflakes and pastries, thus not the greatest variety. Coffee had to be prepared in the room.

It is a place to sleep. I thought it was wierd that you have to check the iron out from the front desk. It wasn't in the room. You pretty much get what you pay for. The hotel location was great for our purpose of being there. I would recommend bringing your own pillow and throw blanket. Otherwise it suits it's purpose. Skön säng och rymligt rum. Inte hundra procent rent. Duschkabinen något igengrodd. Tyst och lugnt kvarter. Frukosten bestod endast av sötsaker.
