Travelodge New Orleans Westbank - Harvey

This hotel need much needed maintenance and cleaning. The overall condtion of the location was very run down and dirty. The non-smoking room smelled like smoke. If I had known the condition of this facility I would have never booked. Also there was an extremely long wait at the check-in. I observed this on other days also.

Hotel is not repaired from Katrina. Hotel staff is rude. Room was never cleaned during our 1 week stay, bathroom floor was flooded from leak and hotel staff never bothered to remedy this and would not allow us to change rooms. They never even looked at the leak, we had to use our towels to mop up water. Would've just left but I booked ahead and was […] told this was "nonrefundable". Basically I hot hustled by this hotel. Hotel was fine for the price. The restraurnt wasn't very good though.

It was really a rundown hole in the wall hotel. Our room was on the 2nd floor and on first glance into the room it appeared to be clean. The moment we walked in I noticed the carpet was filthy. Walking barefoot was like walking on damped stinky moldy rug. And the bed itself wasn't a king size, the blankets looked like they had never been washed. The […] pillows stunk with smoke saturated in it. The towels were not white, they had black stain. Thank god we didn't bring our small children with us or else I would cry all night long. My husband and I only spent 3 hours that night cuz I had left my bridesmaid dress at home. We went home to retrieve it before my best friends wedding in New Orleans so traveling wasn't too far. I don't known how others would give a good rating. I think they either were drug dealers or were the workers at this hotel. Yes I said it. The clienteles at this travelodge looked like drug dealers. We loved our stay at the travel lodge! The hotel staff was excellent and answered all our question! I would surely stay again and recommend hotel to friends! Loved the pools and parking was free !

We only there overnight for a series shoot, but the hotel was perfect. Clean, comfy and the front desk people were amazing.

Worst hotel I have stayed in in some time. Asked manager for another room and he refused. My wife is still mad at me about the room.

Dirty, carpet rarely cleaned or even Hoovered. Staff ok but when we asked to stay another night they jerked us around, obviously wanting to wait for more customers paying more $$$ cotton buds behind bedhead along with other customers clothes - yuk !! Bathroom ok but felt room overall only very superficially clean, small towelst and threadbare linen […] with cigarette burns in quilt cover - stay elsewhere. Wear shoes if walking around room - but room size is good, only upside. Also noisy aircon cuts in and out all nite. Les mer

This hotel is horrible. I would not reckmmend to anyone. The room had a horrible smell...floor dirty...just dirty overall....DO NOT DO IT

It close to everything!

Not best area but I am not sure there is a nice area of NOLA

When we first got there the air conditioner was not working and instead of fixing it the manager when to eat. The air conditioner in the second room leaked water on the floor and was gross. this is a cheap hotel, i would expect to pay $25 to $35 per night for this type of hotel not the $'s that i paid. The neighborhood is one to be carful in aswell if you know what i meen. I paid for 2 non refundable nights and only stayed one night and ate the cost for the second night. this is not a bashing just info i wish i would have known before […] i spent my money. Les mer

Everything was pretty much good except the condition of the bed.

Despite negative reviews, our group of 5 were pleasantly surprised, and very pleased with our rooms. We booked through hotels.com, saving us money, and our rooms even had a mini fridge and a microwave. We loved the convenience and tastiness of the downstairs restaurant "THE GRUB" and the safety of the gated parking lot. We would definitely recommend […] it. Les mer

Hotel was fine. We don't have daylight savings time in AZ. We did not realize it was time to turn the clocks forward. No one said anything when we checked in and asked about breakfast. We got down before what we thought was 9:00 and we missed breakfast. Staff was friendly though, I would stay there again.

I'm always leery of staying on the outskirts of major cities, but this small hotel was very convenient - only minutes from downtown NOLA. Security was on-site, pool was sparkling, and the staff was friendly. Only negatives were the carpet, which badly needed shampooing, and a very sparse continental breakfast. For the price, it is well worth it. Great restaurant up front.

I wasn't expecting five star accommodations, but this hotel should be condemned. The sheets were stained, there was nasty looking water damage on the floors, the baseboards and bathroom door needed to be repaired, and the actual housekeepers laundry room looked filthy. I'm so thankful I bring a can of disinfectant everywhere I go and do NOT walk on […] the floors barefoot. I did not feel comfortable sleeping on the sheets. I had to place a t-shirt over the pillow in order to get some sleep. Continental breakfast was a joke. Cereal, bread, and juice. How professional is it to have a regular gallon of milk sitting in a bowl of ice water? This was one of the services that attracted me in the first place, but we still ended up purchasing our own breakfast. Like I said, I didn't expect a five star resort, but I do expect CLEANLINESS. This hotel was ok! Staff was friendly, room was clean. The hotel is old. You get what you pay for. Relatively close to downtown and convention center. $1.00 toll road to get back into downtown.

This hotel had good service, the room was in exceptable shape, had no problems with the room, hotel or it's service. Front desk employees were very helpful and friendly.

My stay at this hotel was not what I thought it was going to be, but it was ok.. The room was clean but I did not like the breakfast that they serve every morning.. I think they need to upgrade a little. My husband had to found a iron to iron his clothes... It was convenience and that's why I gave it a D+

When we checked in, the first room we were assigned had no power. The second room had a bad smell so the front desk clerk gave us another room which was fine! He was very nice and very apologetic. This is no a new hotel, but for the price and location, this is a outstanding value.

Had the best price around during Mardi Gras week. Short drive into New Orleans. I would rate this as a good two star hotel. Doing a lot of updating of rooms so some areas smelled grungy but room was fine. Thin walls and slight gap under door let in too much sounds. Located in an areas where we got caught in a traffic jam for over 3 hours.

This room was disgusting. we killed one cockroach that was in one bed and saw another cockroach disappear into the front of the TV. We hadn't used the TV, but at that point on closer examination we saw that the TV was broken, as in the screen of the TV was separated from the plastic that surrounds it and the upper corner of the outside plastic of it […] was cracked. We were rained out of the mardi gras parades in new orleans and we couldn't bear the thought of sleeping in the cockroach room, so we packed up and drove 3.5 hours east to enjoy the beach in pensacola. we got a room at a hampton inn in pensacola for the same rate as the room at the new orleans travel lodge room but what a difference! the hampton inn was awesome! This hotel is very close to downtown. It takes about 10 minutes to drive over the bridge and into downtown. The rooms are clean, and we didn't have any problems. My wife said she was awoken a few times at odd hours by loud people in other rooms and outside, but we also went during Mardi Gras season, so people tend to stay out late and party a little […] more. I recommend staying here. It is a good value verses the hotels across the river. Our room was clean, the bathroom had been newly remodeled and was excellent. We came for Mardi Gras so when we wanted to go across to the other parades we just drove, paid the one dollar toll and parked at Harrah's garage. When you come to New Orleans there is so much to […] do and see that you are hardly in your room anyway, so save that money you would spend on a higher priced room for the attractions. Les mer

Needs painting, free continental breakfast was really bad (stale products, low quality), door card keys wouldn't work most times due to bad battery in door system. Rooms not ready until 4PM. Just many little bad things but affordable rates for a busy weekend.

As expected for the price paid. The continental breakfast was a joke -- cereal and white/wheat toast. Two pools but no jacuzzi. No elevator to second floor rooms.

The room was close to just about everything that I was looking for. Good food, credit union, shopping and the location was right off the main highway. We drove the neighborhood behind the hotel and it was rough, but security stayed on premise during my whole visit.

It is a good service, just the location is not really good. You can not go out at all, except by car. You can not walk!

Pros: The front desk let us check in prior to the normal check-in time. Cons: Room was not clean. 3 of 4 lamps in the room didn't work. The mattress was worn out and WAY to soft. Curtains were falling off the rod. Used bars of soap and shampoo were left behind in the shower from the previous occupants. Bathroom was not cleaned. Key card reader on the […] door beeped throughout the night which kept us awake. Saw several hotel employees eating the free continental breakfast each morning, which could explain why there was never anything left 30 minutes after they started serving it. The parking lot that they claim to lock after 9pm was not locked at all any of the three nights we stayed. Very hard location to get to from the highway. If you are going into downtown/French quarter, traffic is a mess from this location, and cabs cost about $20 each way which adds up. You would be better off paying the extra money to stay in the French Quarter or downtown tto avoid the cab charges. Les mer

The worst!!

Crappy neighborhood right behind it but the staff was nice and the rooms weren't as bad as people made it seem in other reviews. Parking lot has a large gate around it, in all we had three vehicles there and none were tampered with so nothing to say there. There is even a police station a couple blocks over. Close to the ferry that connects to Canal […] so you can travel cheaply. All in all I have stayed in worse rooms on a military base, so long as you don't have delusions about this place being anything other than a place to sleep you will enjoy your stay. Les mer

DESCRIBING THIS HOTEL AS DISGUSTING AND ANTIIGENIC IS TO LITTLE. This Hotel needs to be demolished. The blankets had blood. There were two refrigerators and both had big rust spots all over the front doors and bottoms. The carpet was stained and nasty. The ceiling was full of dust and spider webs. hotel is not maintained. lights don't work. Furnitures were broken,linens were dirty and room was smelly.Some of the fixtures were broken. There were hardly any choice for breakfast. The restaurent was under renovation. The price was too high for the services provided.

It was a nice stay.the only problem was that it did not have a ironing boars and no coffee maker but other then that the room was nice and our stay was nice
