Pene, rene og svært romslige rom med det meste av fasiliteter. Hotellet nytt og fint. Fin beliggenhet nær stranden, men litt stille på vinterstid. Forkosten var typisk amerikansk og ikke spesielt sunn. Alt i alt fornøyd med oppholdet!

Me and my wife stayed at the Pelican for one night when road tripping south from San Francisco. Fantastic rooms and great service! Nothing much to do in the immediate surrounding area but hiking next to the beach, but a good place to stay for a shorter period of time! Full hot breakfast included!

"Good for the price"
Room was recently renovated and clean. One block away from the embarcadero. People were very pleasant. Beds were kind of hard. Shower water temp fluctuated in the morning. We wouldn't mind staying here again.

The dirtiest place ever regardless of price. could not walk on carpet without bottom of feet turning black from the dirt. feet got dirtier in room than at the beach. Not sure if carpet has ever been vacuumed let alone cleaned. Beds, sheets and bathroom were also filthy and hotel condition overall was very poor and falling apart. Although the room was clean and reasonably comfortable for such an old motel, there were things that could have been improved. For example, there were no towel racks in the bathroom, the TV remote did not work, and the overhead light was burned out or didn't work.

Hotel is in an ugly condition, beds are horrible. Not recommendable there is enough alternatives in town. You should watch out your feet of luggage drops through holes on the second floor staircase. Only duck tape is covering the holes. never stay there again.

Misleading information on website. The "breakfast" was choice of make your own waffle or toast. Coffee not available in room. Pillowtop mattresses older with flat pillows. No room ac, only ceil fan. Older TV's and older motel with noise from 2nd floor waking you up constantly. Would not recommend this place to stay.

I had forgotten we had stayed here previously, but think too badly about it once we got there. First, the room we were in was the exact one from a couple of years ago. No problem. The wife notices we don't have a coffee maker in the room so I go to the office. The clerk was very courteous and got me one very quickly. When I plugged it in, it didn't […] work, but did so in another plug. The overhead fan was noisy when on high. The stairs were deteroriating. The wife noticed the hook on the back of the bathroom door was broken off, just like it was 2 years ago. "Beyond Disappointed"
This place is totally unacceptable. The health department should be called to inspect it. The staff, when questioned, conviently pulled the no habla card and shrugged their shoulders. the room was filthy and the carpet stunk. I can't believe the Hotels.com would even be associated with this place. Okay for a one night stay. Inside and out in major need of an upgrade & retrofit.
I don't like the servie of this hotel. Front desk customer sevice is so bad & not helpful to you if you asked anything.

The Tavelodge Hotel in Morro Bay was a great place to stay. Clean, and quiet, just the way its supposed to be. I was close to the ocean and near lots of good places to eat.

"Travelodge Morro Bay - Don't walk around barefoot"
Because if you do, your feet will be covered in grime from the disgusting carpet. In fact, I never walked around barefoot and instead wore white socks, the bottoms of which had changed from white to black in a few hours (I can bag the evidence). The AC unit was also disgustingly dirty, as was the shower floor, to the point that I put a towel on the […] floor pan so I wouldn't have to touch it. To continue, the door lock/bolt was broken off and the sink overflow had something growing in it, like a stalagmite. The caulk around all the edges in the bathroom was fresh, but had been applied over some kind of mystery funk. The TV worked great, but the room was so gross that we made it a point to not spend any time in it. Luckily, the hotel location is good and close to the nearby bay and shops, so there's plenty to do to avoid your room. I didn't feel like dealing with hot-lines and I was on a budget so I didn't switch hotels, but had I brought a tent, that would have been a good alternative. If you enjoy spelunking and/or indoor botany, this hotel is for you. Les mer

"Travelodge at morro bay"
This travelodge has not been maintained. It is dirty and the showers and toilets do not worked properly. Breakfast was in the hotel office lobby which only allowed about five people standing room. The toilet in my room was blocked and I was told by the hotel owner to unblock it.

"Worst Hotel I ever stayed at"
This was the worse hotel I stayed at, it smelled horrible, not all the lights worked. If I wasn't exhausted from traveling I would have stayed else where. I was robbed based on the cost. My kids were afraid and didn't want to sleep in the other bed and they are in their teens.

Hotel is not near the Harbour area. Breakfast was a bring back to room, but good. a couple of trays in the rooms or in Reception would have helped. The aircon/heater was dated and difficult to use. The fan on the ceiling can only be used with the light on, a bit difficult if you want the fan on but the light off, taking the bulb out, which happened […] in other hotels, would resolve this. Bathroom needed new sealant around shower and sink. Décor was dated but mostly clean. As all hotels in the USA, take your own tea bags and milk if you want tea as they mainly cater for Coffee. "Good location"
Hotel had good location but that is all. Walls very dirty, Room had very strong oder we had to air out the room. Heater did not work and hotel could not repair, we had to buy a space heater for the second night we stayed. We will not stay at travel lodge in Morro Bay or recomment. Disapointed with Hotel and hotel.com

The only complaint is the placement of the beds - from one bed you could not see the television.
The hotel is a typical Morro Bay hotel....I've stayed in most of them there. Nothing fancy, no frills. The owner was curtious. The price was good. The walls are a bit thin, but I've stayed in far worse hotels in Morro Bay. The bathroom was huge as was the main room. There was some light construction going on until 4pm, so my nap was out of the question […] :). I WILL stay at this hotel again. The price and location are very good. You get what you pay for, so don't book a travellodge room and expect a 4star hotel. It is what it is...and I was quite satisfied Les mer

"Disappointed"
I was ver disappointed because the room did not look like the one I viewed on the internet. The internet showed big comforable rooms with nice big windows to view the area. What we got was a small room with one queen bed, that was very uncomforable, it was not fim, I woke up with a back ache and so did my husband. The internet showed a tub/shower and […] what we had was a shower and a very small bathroom area. Over all I was disappointed in the whole thing and I feel like I was overcharge for what we got. We had a great stay at this nice and clean hotel. Front desk persons were very friendly and helpful. Hotel is perfect location to the pier and all other attractions.

"You get what you pay for."
We were in Morro Bay the weekend of the Harbor Fest and all the hotels at least doubled in price. If I would have paid the regular price I would have felt like it was an ok deal. Breakfast was marginal but the rooms were clean and everyone working there was extremely nice.

"Met all my Basic Needs"
If you're in the area to visit Cal Poly, hotels in Morro are a good bet. They are affordable and only 12 miles from SLO. The Travelodge was fine. About what I expected for something at this price range - clean, comfortable, cute. Also, it's close to a quaint little touristy area with shops and restaurants right along the water. I ate at a seafood restaurant […] for dinner that had the best shrimp caesar salad EVER. Les mer

The hotel was in a great location - close to the harbor and shops. However, the room was noisy, and we heard water flowing whenever people around us used the toilet or shower. And, the bathroom door was very difficult to close - it seemed to be warped. The hotel could use some updating.

We wanted to stay in Morro Bay for fun so that would be by the ocean but also close to San Luis Obispo. The location of the hotel was very good, and walking distance from the "downtown," but there were many hotels around it that looked like a much better deal than we had. Our room was dirty, bathroom gross! I never wanted to go barefoot in there or […] in the shower. Bed of course very uncomfortable. It was not a pleasant stay at all. The breakfast was satisfactory though, including muffins, cereal, toast, coffee, tea or juice. The people that worked there were fine too. The room was the problem, and since you tend to sleep, shower and relax in that room, I wouldn't say it's the best place to stay in Morro Bay. There are tons more to choose from! Les mer
