Trivelig hotel med flott beliggenhet. Nært ferjeleiet og med en fantastisk utsikt over lagunen inn mot Venezia. Det anbefales å bestille rom mot lagunen fordi på baksiden av hotellet er det en vei og selv om ikke trafikken er overvettes stor er det en del støy. Særlig på grunnplan.

Veldig bra, også beliggenheten. Perfekt for oss. Lite og trivelig hotell med topp service. God frokost, og det er alltid et pluss. Pene bad, men små.

Hotellet bærer prev av at det er bygget 1380. Allikevel er det godt vedlikeholdt og moderne. Det som drar opp, er beliggenheten. Bare noen skritt fra Markusplassen. Like til en gondol holdeplass, samt en kan ta båttaxi praktisk talt fra resepsjonen direkte til flyplassen. Frokosten er enkel, men ikke dårlig.

Oppholdet ble bedre enn forventet og hotellet kommer jeg til å bruke neste gang også. Sentralt og fint med koselig restaurant i første med god mat.

Lite og trivelig hotell. Sentralt. Lite gatestøy på det rommet vi sov. Veldig fint og rent med varme på badet, god dusj. Trivelig frokostrom med god service og helt ok mat. God service og informasjon fra ansatte i resepsjon. Eneste minus var at vi ikke så noen rømningsveier annet enn den ene trappen vi kom opp.

For besøkende som ankommer med tog eller buss, er Cannaregio Venezias inngangsport og begynnelsen på Canal Grande. Her er det mye gjennomgangstrafikk med kanalbåter og turister på vei til San Marco, men ellers er dette et roligere og mindre turistaktig område enn sentrale Venezia. Ghetto-området (den opprinnelige jødiske enklaven) med sine museer og det majestetiske Ca d’Oro-palasset, en av de ikoniske bygningene langs Canal Grande, er verdt å få med seg.

Hyggelig hotell meget sentralt beliggende. Noe enkle rom, men ellers veldig bra og god frokost.

Me kom til Venezia med tog og ville ha eit hotel nær Sentralstasjon, til båtforbindelse på Canal Grande, og retur til flyplass. Det var heilt topp. Me hadde strålande ver, og valde hotellet mykje pga av uteterassen mot Canal Grande. Supert å ete frukost og sjå på livet på kanalen. Elles ok standard; reint! Noko slite inventar rom, bad; teppegolv. Ville […] ha valt hotellet igjen utfrå same utgangspunkt. Me var nok litt uheldig med den som var på jobb i resepsjon; me hadde nokre få spørsmål; det verka som det var eit ork at me brydde han- men me fann utav det sjølve:) Les mer
"God beliggenhet"
Ligger like ved jernbanestasjonen - ett minutt mot venstre.Vi tok buss fra flyplassen og gikk til hotellet, veldig greit å finne fram. OK frokost med grovt brød, eggerøre og det vi ellers forventet. Deilig å kunne spise på uteterasse. Flott, stort og rent rom (vi var to voksne og to ungdommer), men kloakklukt på rommet trekker vurderingen ned. Angrer […] litt at vi ikke klaget, men familierom vokser ikke på trær... Nært til tog, båter og buss. Vi kjøpte dagskort til båt og hadde dermed et fantastisk og fleksibelt opphold i tre dager. Og det er ikke sant at alt Murenoglass er dyrere på Murenoøya, slik reisehåndboka vår påsto. Fant mye flott glass der. Les mer
"Overlooking the Grand Canal"
This hotel was a pleasant surprise - and a very good value, considering its location near the St. Lucia Rail station. and my concern that because it is in a high traffic area it would be overrun by tourists. It has a classy entrance and lobby, and a wonderful breakfast dining area, and my 4th floor room overlooked the Canal.

"Continential Hotel-close to the entrance of Venice"
This hotels location was perfect. Right when you get of into the town its only a few blocks, which makes it really nice if you have luggage. The room was very small, which i hear most are in Venice. My only complaint was the bed was so soft, bad mattress. They even brought my mother-in-law coffee up to our room. Great service and great free breakfa […] st. Les mer

Wonderful hotel. The safe in our room wasn't working but we stored our valuables in a safe deposit at the hotel for free & it was larger than the safe anyway. both of our laptops fit along with some other smaller things. they sold us our hop on bus tickets for a discount. the hotel is a short walk from the stop. Do keep in mind this hotel is not ON […] the beach. You have to cross a small bridge across the street but it's very close. It also is not close to the airport so be sure to have transportation in mind. great hotel for the price! Les mer
"Continental Hotel in Venice, Italy"
Wonderful experience! We had a room with "half board" and it turned out we were able to have a fancy free dinner right on the Grand Canal every night ! Great free breakfast, too. You can't beat the location, especially that we had a corner room, all windows, with a panoramic view of the Grand Canal. We suspect it was the best room in the whole building, […] considering no other room had the set of windows like that. It was on the 3rd floor. If you can get it, you might not ever want to leave the room. Good luck! The hotel is very close to the train station as well - keep in mind, you don't have to drag your suitcases down the endless steps - there is a ramp alley way that connects with the platform entrance at the very end of it, bypassing the whole busy main terminal. Dark moldy room with stains on carpet. Bathroom floor would be completly soaked after showering. Good breakfast, good location.
"Great Hotel"
This hotel was just what we needed in Venice. The boat we took from the airport took us right to the hotel, as it faces the canal. The service was great. The room had a side view of the canal but it faced the charming street. The neighborhood was great, lots of shops and restaurants. The hotel is a 2 minute walk away from the train station, but just […] make sure this train station is the correct Venice station as there are two. We made that mistake and missed our train! A 30-45 minute "leisurely" walk away from Piazza San Marco, which gives you a great opportunity to see all the boutiques. The room had AC, and the bathroom was nice. The breakfast was tasty and you may enjoy it facing the water, and it is beautiful. Just watch out for the seagulls as they will be brave enough to snatch your breakfast away if you leave your seat! "Do not stay"
The room was not at all like the picture on line. All beds looked like roll away beds. The wall paper was coming down and there was mold in the bathroom. It does have a nice view to the canal but that is all I can say was nice.

Pros: It's close to the train station. They have free WiFi in the lobby. The staff are reasonably friendly and helpful. Cons: The rooms are uninspirationally plain and cold. Our ceiling dripped from a water leak. The shower was the worst we had during our trip. Our least favorite room on our trip.

"Great value for the money"
The room I stayed in is small but clean and has a great view of canal. I suppose the hotel, like most of the motels in the Island, is quite old and I can hear the water going through the pipe. This is probably the only problem I have with this hotel. Everything else is great. I couldn't believe it when we checked in and found our room right on the Grand Canal, not even a sidewalk or street inbetween. The staff was amazing as well. They gladly stored our luggage so we could checkout and finish our siteseeing. We couldn't find my daughter for a while and not only did the clerk promptly call the police for me, but insisted […] he come with us to look for her. (My daughter was found soon after safe and unharmed). Les mer
"no hot water in the middle of the night."
The location is fantastic and the staff gracious and helpful. However: 1. Every time I showered a strong smell of sewer/ dead animal filled the room. 2. When I got up at 5 AM to take a shower before my departure there was no hot water and was told later at the check out desk that the water heater is on a timer and there is never hot water at this time […] of day. Continental Hotel is within easy walking distance from the train station and in an excellent location. Our room was right on the Grand Canal, and the complementary breakfast was much more than we expected.
"Great Hotel"
This hotel is perfectly situated, walking distance from the train and to most any other places you may want to go. Ask for a room to the left of the Grand Canal when facing the hotel as they load/unload from boats in early morning on the right side and it can get noisy.

"Hotel room was great - the bed was hard and the pillows flat."
While the room was clean, the Hotel beautiful, the bed was hard and uncomfortable. The pillows were flat which made for a rather long, uncomfortable night. The breakfast provided was outstanding with lots of choices and delicious food. It is definitelly a "good news-bad news" situation.

"Great for overall price"
This was the second cheapest hotel I could fond for a business trip (the cheapest had a shared bathroom) Only 200 meters from train station and 400m from buses and cabs. 20 min walk to Rialto bridge and 60min walk to St Marls square and really close to water taxi / bus ticket boorh. Restaurant downstairs was grea and very nice to have breakfast overlooking […] the Grand Canal. Staff were very attentice - rooms were a little old and not very well soundproofed but would definately stay there agasin. Staff all seemed very helpful Les mer

"Good location - Bad breakfast"
Hotel is located in a convenience area. Surrounded by shops, restaurants and close to water bus stop, train stations. Room is a bit small. The breakfast service is terrible. They stopped bringing out food at 9:15 even the breakfast servce time closed at 10. It is a descent hotel to stay if you were skipped the breakfast.

"Pretty Good"
Overall we were happy to have stayed at The Continental and think it is a good value. The service by the front desk was very good and the breakfast which was included in the rate also better than expected. The room was small but clean and utilitarian. The hotel is situated on a very busy and touristy block. If you follow the link from the hotel website […] the map that you will see is inaccurate. "Different as Night and Day"
The hotel staff seems like Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. The day staff was super attentive, very helpful, very courteous and quick to answer our every need. The night staff just couldn't be bothered, short tempered and just too preoccupied to even TRY to help. We had a late flight and the day staff was more than willing to secure our luggage and went out […] of their way to take care of everything. The night manager took over 5 minutes to come to the desk, others were also waiting for their room keys, we asked for our luggsge, which we could see, oh wait just a minute. Ten minutes later we belled him again and he seemed to not know what we asked for. We had also indavertantly left a book on the night stand and asked if it had been found and without any effort at all said it wasn't there. We politely asked again thinking he didn't understand we didn't leave it behind the desk but in the room , no no no it's not here. It was absurd. I liked the place but if we stay there again and the same night manager is there we will not have any dealings with him what so ever. Les mer

If you are looking for the hotel with good location but you don't mind it's a bit old...may need to walk up to your room with stairs ...noisy till mid-night(if you were assigned to the room next to the main street.It does not help much with the window closed) the free wifi can't be used inside your room. Then this hotel is your choice! ROOM--hard to […] reach without bell boy....go left and right ...right and left then another staircase... room is old fashion as well...noisy when you stay at the room next to the main street WIFI--can't be used inside your room(s)( cos I have changed my room once) also heard other complaints from other rooms by the time we checked with the receptionist about the wifi BREAKFAST--standard items in addition with scramble egg and bacon(my first hot breakfast in Italy) Les mer

"Спать в этом отеле невозможно"
Отель расположен очень удачно от ж\д станции. На этом все его плюсы заканчиваются. Заказывала и проходит по брони как 4-х зв., на деле 3-ка. Номер меньше санузла. Завтраки на оценку 2. Соки разведены, выбор скудный. Но самое ужасное, когда окна номера выходят на улицу, заснуть можно только с 2 до 4 ночи.

Dejligt nemt at komme til hotellet fra banegården (5 min gang). Der ligger en park med legeplads 2min fra hotellet, som er god at starte på for børnefamilier. Morgenmaden kan spises lige ud til kanalen. Der kunne foruden det vanlige italienske søde morgenmadsbrød fås toast, eg og bacon til morgenmaden. Rengøring/hygiejne: Værelset havde små stykker […] glas på gulvet i badeværelset og foran døren, men var ellers OK rengjort. I badeværelset var der dog lidt myrer. Ophold på værelset. Værelset kunne lige række det gratis WiFi og havde et L-formet knæk så læselys fra de voksnes senge ikke generede børnene så meget. Størrelsen rækte kun lige til de 4 enkeltsenge, en kommode og et skab til tøj. Meget praktisk havde hver seng en skammel til kufferten for enden. Les mer

"Boa localização, bom atendimento."
O hotel está bem localizado, próximo da estação de trem. O atendimento foi bom e o quarto confortável. Uma pena que estava chovendo.
Excellent hotel, clean, friendly staff and perfect location near the train station. Breakfast buffet had lots of choices! Definitely would stay again!

Leider hatten wir ein sehr kleines Zimmer.Als wir ins Zimmer gebracht wurden,waren alle Fensterlaeden geschlossen, warscheinlich weil mann mit der Hand die Hauswand des naechsten Hauses beruehren konnte..Das Fruehstueckbuffet war halb leer,wir mussten eine Weile warten bis wir zu einem Tisch gebracht wurden. Das Serviceteam war auch nicht sehr freundlich.Gaeste […] neben uns mussten den letzten freien Tisch erst abraumen um dort zu essen..es ist sehr schade,die Lage des Hotels is naehmlich optimal. Erinomainen hotelli. Standardhuone oli pienikokoinen, mutta muuten mukava ja viihtyisä. Meillä ikkunasta näkymä viereiseen taloon metrin päässä, joten päivälläkin oli hiljaista. Superior-huoneet pääkanaalin puolella! Tällaisen varaaminen ei jostain syystä mahdollista Hotels.comin kautta, mutta toisaalta tarkastettuna hinta taisi olla 40 e enemmän kuin […] standardhuoneella, joten ehdottomasti suosittelen näin jälkikäteen. The hotel was located in walking distance to the bus and train stations and directly on the shore of Canal Grande. The room was fine, large and clean. The restauant had a great, but small, terrasse with a great view over the canal! It is located in a pedestrian area, but the noise levels were low.
