Umiddelbart greit inntrykk - fine, nyoppussede rom. Men så oppdaget vi etterhvert at rommet var dårlig rengjort, at det stinket (i rikelig monn) urin fra aircontitionanlegget, at internett ikke funket på rommet osv osv. På dag to fikk vi ingen housekeeping og da vi etterspurte dette, hadde hun som var ansvarlig for rommet krysset av for at vi hadde […] hatt "do not disturb-skilt" hengende oppe hele dagen (hvilket vi overhodet ikke hadde, da vi hadde vært ute hele dagen). Vi fikk riktignok nye håndklær og housekeeping neste dag. Vi (og svært mange av de øvrige gjestene) klaget over manglende internett-dekning, men ble selv henvist til å kontakte nettleverandøren :-/ og hotellet fraskrev seg liksom med det alt ansvar. Frokosten var ikke noe å rope hurra for. Masse "søtklisjboller" og mulighet for å steke vafler. Ingen toast eller annet usøtet brød. Det var flotte kaffemaskiner i frokostområdet, som i utgangspunktet skulle tilby mange kaffesorter, men det hang lapper ved nesten alle alternativene om at det var midlertidig ute av drift. + for relativt kort vei til fint strandområde og greit basseng, men likevel usentralt i forhold til det meste. Overall, we were very pleased! The motel/rooms/grounds are clean, staff friendly, only a block from beach, and close to attractions/restaurants.

The best place in Myrtle Beach if you have a dog. Two blocks from a very nice dog park.

our room was supposed to be a NON smoking room and was even labeled on the door as such but it REEKED of cigarette smoke. they had no other rooms to offer us that night but said we could switch the next night. Well they didn't have anything then either. we were stuck. then the ceiling was failing--actually chipping away. I made a report of that directly […] to the maintenance person--he said he'd check that out. I came home with paint chips in my suitcase. Our last night there--someone had a party on the floor and they kept slamming doors, running up & down the hall yelling. Until 5AM. The only other thing would be that people were leaving their dogs unattended in the rooms and they were barking all day and into the night. Les mer

Great location one block from lovely beach in a nice neighborhood. Motel was clean, friendly staff and pet friendly!

The hotel is rather dated. Beds aren't very comfortable and bathroom very small. Very clean and staff was excellent and accomodating, especially Janet on the front desk. Price is very reasonable if you aren't looking for a resort. location is good and was a good deal for business trip.

Our stay at the Red Roof Inn was a very nice one. Our only complaint was the first night that we got there after driving 13 hours, the people in the room beside us decided to party until 3 oclock in the morning, Went to the front desk and asked to be moved in the morning and was accomidated immediately. The staff could not appoligize enough and went […] out of their way to make the rest of our stay wonderful, We do travel alot, The Housekeeper (FLO) on the 4th floor is amazing. She always went out of her way to make sure we had every thing we need and to say hello. Our coffeemaker wasnt working and she had one delivered within 10 minutes. TIP: Mke sure you take your own hairdryer. I do travel alot and now a day almost ALL hotels have hairdryer. This one DOES NOT. Minor. Les mer

The room was just ok. The bedding looked old and the beds were hard. The biggest complaint was this hotel was advertised on Hotels.com with a complimentary breakfast, when I asked about that on the first morning I was told that they only offer that in the high tourist season. I think that is something that should be listed on the website.

WE WERE THERE TO VISIT FAMILY. WAS IN VERY GOOD NEIGHBORHOOD. 3 BLOCKS FROM OCEAN. ROOMS WERE CLEAN AND STAFF WAS GREAT.

It was overall a great hotel. We were 15 minutes or less from all the attractions we wanted to see (SkyWheel and Ripley's Aquarium, to name a couple). Our only complaint was the bed, whose mattress seemed to have a vendetta against our backs. The hotel staff was informative and very friendly, though, and we had a great stay.

The maids were absolutely wonderful and very welcoming.......only complaint is you need queen size beds instead of full. Thank you for welcoming our baby four legged family member Roxi!

Staff was very friendly. I came to see my Goddaughter at Coastal Carolina Univerisity, the hotel was an easy drive from the school. The room was not fancy but for the trip I made it was fine. I didn't spend much time in the room since I was out and about most of the two days I was in Myrtle Beach.

Have stayed many times here and prices are good and hotel is convieniently located.

Last time I stayed at a Red Roof Inn was 28 years ago. Back then I would recommend them to anyone. Now, times have changed. The room was nice but there were some serious issues. It appears that to cut costs they don't air condition the hallways. The air flow causes a wind tunnel effect pulling all the air out of the room. This caused a constant whine […] from the air being sucked through the air conditioning unit out through the bath vent and out the hotel room door. This also kept the air conditioner coming on one and half minutes after it turned off. The turbulance also made a buzzing sound in the air conditioner. The ceiling texture was coming off the ceiling right above the head of the bed. The lone chair in the room was stained on both sides of the cushon. The alarm clock was not set to the correct time and did not seem to cooperate no matter how I tried to set it. There was an unknow substance splashed on the leg of the desk that was not cleaned. One of the panels in the shower was coming off. To top it off when checking out it appears an employee was being berated by her boss right in front of the main entrance. This is not the Red Roof I remember. The service, conditions, and overall experience has deteriorated below the standards they used to maintain years ago. For the $ this was a good choice.

good stay, nothing fancy, clean, a little musty from the pool.

The hotel overall was okay. The room was clean. I didn't like the fact that some of the occupants had dogs, which barked sometimes during the night. It was very close to the beach, and the neighborhood that we walked thru to get to the beach was very nice. The bed was not very comfortable.

WE TOTALLY ENJOYED OUR STAY HERE. THE ROOM WE HAD WAS VERY CLEAN. POOL WAS GREAT. ONLY COUPLE OF BLOCKS FROM BEACH. THE STAFF WAS VERY FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL. HAD A GREAT BREAKFAST. I WILL STAY HERE AGAIN. RATES VERY REASONABLE, AND VERY ACCOMODATING TO PETS.

This hotel was great. rooms were clean and beds were very comfortable. staff were super friendly and helpful. there is a guest laundry available. hotel is pet friendly but i haven't heard any barking at all. hotel is less than 5 minute walk to beach. helicopter rides are about a 10 minute walk. standard rooms do not come with refrigerator or microwave, […] that was a bummer. electronic keys are nice, just slip them in the wallet. vending machines with snacks and drinks. Food on the beach is expensive. burgers and drinks for a family of 4 costs 35 dollars. the city is super easy to navigate around, don't even need the GPS. Beaches are clean and not over crowded. The swimming pool isn't very big but it's a nice pool and clean. This hotel is close to everything in myrtle beach, you can reach almost everything in about 10 minutes. we're on 3rd floor, almost as far away from the lobby as you can get and i still get good signal from wireless internet. safe in room is super easy to use, my 11 year old figured it out in 2 minutes. bathroom is small but clean. The front desk personel were helpful and efficient. The room clean and simple. The pool clean and grounds well maintained. The beaches were convenient though we did go south about 12 miles to the state park.

The staff was friendly. Our room was very clean. The breakfast was great. The hotel is in a quiet area that was conviently close to everything. We would stay again.

The hotel was nice except the towels and wash clothes were dirty. Didn't feel comfortable using them.

I sent my kids to Beach Week. I was happy that they were able to stay at this hotel. They are respectful kids and my eldest is to a fault. I was appalled and his sister was horrified to find a HUGE cochroach in the bathroom. I know that this is not an expensive hotel, however, the very least thing I expected was a clean room, one without bugs. I […] even don't mind staying in a rooms of lesser quality as long as they are clean. There is no excuse for having cockroaches in rooms these days. Spray. Les mer

our stay was worth what we paid for, there was a couple things that could have been better. upon entering our room, we wanted to put somethings in the mini fridge and there was food left over in it, and the fridge never worked. we did get switched into a differnt room where the fridge did work. and 1 of the 3 elevators smelt like dog pee, so we didnt […] use that one Les mer

Excellent!

I chose this hotel because it took small pets and had a complimentary breakfast. I saw dogs in this hotel the size of black labs and they were loose outside and inside. I expected a complimentary breakfast as that was listed in the hotel services it offered. When I asked about this I was toldit was a seasonal thing. I fell this is false advertising […] and I spoke to several others staying here and they expected the same service. Red Roof Inn did not offer to compensate me for this inconvenience. I would not recommend this hotel and I will not be staying there again. Les mer

dogs barking all thru the nigth, I see pest in the room

Our experince was excellent. We've already been reccommending the use of Hotels .com and look forward to staying @ The Red Roof in on our next trip to, Myrtle Beach.

Great service and room was wonderful/clean. good price, and the BEST location for what we needed. Only downside was that the lone elevator was out of order. but being only two floors, it wasnt a problem for the physically capable. and it got irritating at times all of the barking (pets allowed, and were frequent on that day).

Within walking distance to the beach through what appears to be a safe neighborhood. Not a far drive to other sites in Myrtle Beach so it's a good place to stay that's just a little cheaper. The hotel also allows pets and are very accommodating in that regard.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. My room was clean and house keeping was always available when I needed something. I enjoyed my stay and would recommend this hotel to anyone.

My travel was very simple. I was on a brief trip down to Myrtle Beach for a week with a couple of college friends. The drive was simple, the room was simple and nice, I stayed there only a few days, but it was very ultra-convenient for us because of the location and price. The quality of the room was excellence, personally I think it was better than […] what the pictures had advertised. The only drawback to the room was no mini-fridge, but we probably could have requested one or got a room with one if we really wanted, but probably would have had to pay a little extra too. Other than that, great convenience and comfort. I also like to point out the Inn is not right on the beach, but only a few blocks from it, but it's a straight shot down technically within a 3 minute walk 30 second drive to the beachfront, and there's plenty of parking to choose from. Good hotel at a great price for flying out of the Myrtle Beach Airport. Good location and quiet.

If you don't mind sleeping in unwashed sheets this is the hotel for you. We checked into our room, my wife pulled back the sheets and there was hair in the bed. We called the front desk. They were very apologetic and switched us to a new room. Same experience, this time clearly pubic hair in the bed. We checked out and will not return to a Red Roof […] Inn. Les mer
