We are a family of four (children 7 and 11), and we had an excellent stay at the Hilton Santa Fe Historic Plaza. The staff was very nice and hospitable, and the concierge was very helpful and knowlegdeable. The location cannot be beat - most everything was within walking distance. The pool and exercise room get also very good marks. The Hilton Historic Plaza was essentially our first stop of an extended tour of the US, and the hotel was a great place to get over the jetlag and get our holiday off on the right foot. Highly recommended.

"fit need"
The hotel looks rundown but the room was nice. We had a large king room next to the pool. The breakfast was terrible but can always fall back on the cereals and toast provided. The chinese restaurant attachd was amazing! The price was very cheap and staff kind.

"Good Experience"
Very friendly front desk person Elias. Let me check in early and have pick of my room. Larger than average breakfast. Felt secure since hotel's door rooms did not go outside to parking lot directly. Outdated but clean and a good overall value for what you pay for.
"I don't recommend staying at Quality Inn"
The hotel is old and in need of updating. The carpet in the room was very soiled and dirty. Every evening when we got back to our room our keys would not work and the front desk had to re-key them. Worst of all it is connected to a dance hall so we got no sleep on Saturday night.

My room was partially flooded by the nearby housekeeping laundry. No room to move me to and no immediate response other than to tell me to take all the towels in my room and soak up the water myself!!! An hour later they come to try and vacuum it up. Complained to the corporate site but never even received a response. Stay someplace else.

The only positive thing I have to say about this hotel was the front desk staff was very professional and courteous. Aside from that I would say that our brief stop in Santa Fe was unpleasant at best. This had to be the dirtiest hotel my wife and I have ever stayed at. The hallway carpet was threadbare and the staircase railing was in such disrepair […] that we were afraid to use it for support. The room was little better. In fact we were so uncomfortable that we left the hotel at two in the morning and got back onto the freeway to make our escape. Avoid this hotel at all costs. Les mer

This is an excellent price for a good hotel in the Santa Fe area which can be expensive. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Lots of activities including a pool, fitness room. "Dirty Nasty Floor"
The floor of the room turned our feet black, AC did not work. Went to the front counter and was told the thermostats were installed wrong, just to turn it the other way. Try that and it never worked. frig was not cold and was dripping all over the floor also. If you need a place to stay this is ok. The brkft bar was not fancy. Typical foods.

Terrible night as far as noise- There is a bar which attracts individuals that consistantly drive around the parking lot and play loud music with windows wide open. We sat on the balconey and watched the same vehicles drive round and round with very loud music until 2 am. Can you post a sign that says lower the music when entering this establishment? "Dog friendly hotel for dogs"
This hotel has a great price at present but is in poor repair. The breakfast is barely worth considering. Our room did not have air conditioning and they would not repair it but did offer us another room. I opted for a fan. The surrounding neighborhood is commercial and industrial but a good restaurant is nearby for breakfast. As the bar closed a 2 […] am noise errupted from the parking lot and my dog began to bark. Not a great night's sleep was had. But in general if you have a dog and don't want to pay an exhorbitant price for a room, consider staying here and make sure the air conditioning works before you commit to a room. Les mer
"Quality Inn Santa Fe"
The price was right, the location was OK, but ... Cerrillos is under construction, making getting to the city center difficult. The real problem, however, was the police action in the hall in front of my room from 1:30 to 3:30 AM. The hotel is not responsible for the police, but they are responsible for renting the room to a bunch of drunk minors.

"You get more than what you pay for"
I stayed here for 6 nights. Location is in a good neighborhood and is very convenient to reach, even by the city buses. Walmart is walking distance away. Some good restaurants are very close to this hotel, some of which remain open till 10 pm. The hotel staffs are good and friendly. I felt some of my materials in my room and later it was colllecetd […] by friend of mine without any hassle. Breakfasts are of wide variety and are really good. Cleanliness is also appreciable. I recommend in favor of this hotel. Les mer

Can't eat it for the money
"Was charged extra, even though I paid."
I was charged online through hotels.com and a week later was charged AGAIN by the hotel. Also, the heaters in all the rooms were turned off. Front desk told us if we wanted heat, they would have to move us to another hotel!!! Then we asked for blankets and they gave us 1! For two queen beds. It was freezing cold that night! My husban and I were in Santa Fe on business and wanted a hotel that was comfortable, clean and quiet. We got two out of three. The room was comfortable, spacious and well kept. During both nights, however, five or six loud cars parked right outside our large glass window and the occupants had music blaring. "Cheap place to stay but a little run down"
Clean but run down. Carpet was shabby. No elevator. No breakfast. I was there for sleep only because I drove up from Albuquerque to go to the Santa Fe Opera. My only concern was price so it worked fine for me. If I were planning on spending more time at the hotel, I would probably pick another place.

Motel needs major facelift. The hallway stairs and carpet were frayed, stained. The exterior doors to parking lot were very dirty/fingerprints/soot. Check in was fine. Room itself was okay. The 'free' 'made to order'breakfast was awful. The eggs tasted like dried eggs reconstituted and the toast was soggy. I actually asked about the eggs but the waitress […] responded that no one else complained. I pointed out no one else that morning seemed to have eaten them either. You had an option of juice. From the frayed and dirty carpet on the reception area stairway runners, to the ripped screens in the balcony off our room, the Quality Inn Santa Fe is a hotel in need of a major face-lift. Basic services, including front desk responsiveness to requests, lobby computer access, WiFi in room, cable tv etc. are all satisfactory. However, this place offers […] no frills. There are no in-room safes or writing materials in the room. Furniture is care-worn as is carpeting throughout the hotel. When we arrived, the Plaza Cafe was operating as part of the hotel. It was a great restaurant and the room rate included a very modest breakfast at the Plaza. However, the cafe abruptly closed duirng our stay, and is now relocating. Complimentary breakfast provided by the hotel after the Plaza closed was skimpy --far less generous then at other places in the same price range. I would give this Quality Inn a star and a half. Although our stay was ok, I would not recommend this hotel until it is remodeled. Our understanding is the latter will occur soon under new management. Les mer
