Dette leilighetshotellet har ikke resepsjon/restaurant/bar etc., og får derfor få stjerner. Det er allikevel absolutt å anbefale der det ligger i et forholdsvis rolig strøk to kvartaler fra stranden og tre kvartaler fra sentrum med gågater.

En vårtur til dette hotellet ble en særdels hyggelig opplevelse. Meget hyggelig og serviceinnstilt personale møtte oss hver dag under hele oppholdet. Vi spiste kun frokost på hotellet og den var av meget god standard. Det var ikke høysesong da vi var der så det var god tilgjengelighet på alle fasiliteter. Anbefales!!!

Det bør opplyses om at dører til terrasse må holdes lukket pga av apekattene som er i området. Kan gi ubehagelige opplevelser og ting på terrassen forsvinner.

"The Rock Hotel, Gibraltar"
This is a lovely hotel situated just outside of the main town. It is up on the side of the rock & overlooks the naval shipyards. Arriving at the new airport building we walked to the hotel. It took 45mins. But there is a bus! The No5 leaves from opposite the old terminal buildings (at the moment this is used for departures only). There is a small charge […] (£1-£2) to travel to the small bus station in the town. You then change and get the No2 bus. It will drop you off immediately outside the hotel - and is free. At the hotel reception, we were greeted with a glass of sherry. Whilst the receptionists didn't have the sunniest of smiles, we did find them extremely helpful and most pleasant. After reading very mixed reviews on a variety of sites, I was a little apprehensive about the hotel. But it was lovely! Breakfast is included in the rate (it may not specifically say so on your documents, but it is). When we stayed, there was a two for one deal in the restaurant. The menu had good choice & the quality of the food was great. I would certainly recommend this hotel. Especially if you want a bit of luxury during your stay on Gibraltar. Ps keep your windows closed when you are not in your room. The apes are renowned for getting in and stealing food & things from your bags! We were not caught out, but another unfortunate guest was! "Nice Location"
TRH is a great hotel to stay at if you plan omn getting married at The Dell. It's right across the street. The beds are nice, but the TV's are throwbacks. Also the bathrooms were pretty old. The dining faciltiy is great and affordable if you stick to the house menu but if you go a la carte expect to pay a little extra. The city center is walking distance […] and no location should take you longer than 20 minutes to get to. It took us about 15 minutes to walk to Roy's a must see if you go to Gibraltar. "Rock hotel Gibraltar"
Still a grand hotel although showing signs of ageing a little. Rooms basic although I think previously occupied by a smoker so a little smelly. Great views over the straights, but now a little away from main hubs of entertainment. Staff helpful but can be noises .
"Too expensive & in great need of decoration"
We stayed here for 4 days. I thought we didn't have any breakfast in the rate included but the staff didn't mention it until we checked out, which was annoying. The hotels interior is very tired and old looking. Some staff were nice, the reception staff just couldn't be bothered. I wouldn't stay there again I don't think. A real shame.

"Rock Hotel Gibraltar extremely pleasant stay"
In easy walking distance to the pedestrian shopping area, and right next to a busstop. We had such a relaxing stay, the lobby has huge picture windows looking out over the sea we had such a pleasant stay. The staff were helpful and polite too.

The reception staff who appeared quite stand-offish , but if you stand up to them they are helpful.they were the only minor problem in what is a nice hotel with brilliant views. You have to be fit to walk back and forwards from the town ( steep hill) breakfast was fine, but it helps to be early otherwise the cooked food is Luke warm the waiting staff […] went to the same charm school as the reception staff.except for the mangar who made a effort for you.The housekeeping staff were wonderful and friendly, a credit to the hotel. We enjoyed our stay at a very speciel Rock Hotel. The atmosphere was fantastic, staff very friendly and the rooms comfortable. The interior was of high standard while the exterior is in great need for restauration.

"Central location"
It was an old hotel and quite expensive for one night. I have been to better 4* hotels at cheaper rates. I did not particularly like the twin beds which is quite incovenient for couples.
"Old World Charm"
Definite feeling of being left over from The Raj but overall had everything we wanted, food was good and I would recommend for a short stay as generally good quality and good value.

This is a nice, but old hotel in Gibraltar and was a nice place to stay for the single night we were there (which we were glad was only one night). Gibraltar doesn't offer that much excitement and the rock itself is quite disappointing. With the amount they charge for the cable-car/national park, they could do with some cleaners/park attendants to get […] rid of all the rubbish, but I digress! A delightful hotel, built in the 1930s and retaining many of the characteristics of that era. Friendly staff, relaxed, not stiff. Perhaps not trained to five-star standards, but that did not detract overmuch. We had an excellent, really first-rate, dinner; but breakfast was a little tired; too many patisseries and not enough fruit for our taste. Fine […] views over Gibraltar Bay. "Brilliant visit"
This hotel is highly commendable. It is situated close to the cable cars to take you up to the Rock. The look and feel of the hotel made you feel as though you were on a cruise boat, and we loved it. The bar area is really nice as is the balcony and lounge area. The rooms were very good although the bathroom wasn't as good as other hotels we stayed […] at that were cheaper. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Parking was free but we had to leave it on a very steep hill with not a lot of space for passing traffic. A fantastic view could be had from the balcony looking over the bay and also towards Africa, which was even better at sunset. The only warning to provide is MONKEYS. One came down to our balcony and made us feel slightly uneasy about our room as the balcony door does not lock and we heard from other reviews that monkeys have the ability to open the doors and come into your room to steal things. Apart from that, a really fantastic and enjoyable stay. Les mer
"Great location and great hotel"
The Hotel is located in a location giving views of Spain and Africa from most rooms, I had an amazing balcony and a great room. The bathroom was spacious and the room very comfortable. The internet also worked well. Check in was easy (and I had a issue with my booking) and the staff were all great. The hotel could do with a repaint but it is clean and […] almost grand. The breakfast was very good as was lunch the day before in the terrace restaurant. The hotel is very nice and I would go back there again, it is relaxing and in a very nice setting. Les mer

The Rock Hotel is well placed for the cable car station, botanic gardens and town centre, for which a convenient bus service passes outside the hotel. The rooms are nothing special but adequate. The food seems rather dear. Views are excellent and the swift appearance of the famous apes on room balconies adds colour-have your camera ready for quick action. "Fint hotel - charmerende, men også slidt"
På nogen måder som at træde ind i en tidslomme hvilket det er minusser og plusser ved. På den negative side er mange ting lidt slidt og uddaterede, men det er samtidig også en del af charmen ved at kunne fornemme fordums storhed(?) Lidt mere konkret feedback: + Meget fine værelser + God service + Fantastisk beliggenhed (udsigt) - Middelmådig morgenmadsbuffet - […] Forbavsende meget trafikstøj fra vejen nedenfor Les mer

Das Hotel und insbesondere seine Mitarbeiter und seine Einrichtungen strahlen einen ganz eigenene, angenehme Atmosphäre aus, just britsch!
très bien situé, personnel sympathique, belle vue sur la mer, et petit dej agréable. Les chambres sont très propres, confortables et calmes.
