"Excellent service, inconvenient location"
Staff was really helpful. They offer everything they could do to help us. Room was nothing special, but clean enough. Location was the only problem. To get to downtown by public transportation took a long time. Bus stop was nearby, but the E1 bus doesn't come often, maybe every 20-30 mins? Takes 20-30 mins to get to the end, and then have to transfer […] to a street car. It also takes about 15 mins to get to Barbone Street. From downtown to the hotel costs 25-40 bucks by taxi. If you have a car, this hotel should be good. It locates right at the highway exit. Les mer

"Good place to stay"
The room was very nice and clean. The bed was very comfortable too. The staff was very friendly. It was so nice to walk out in the morning and be greeted with a smile and asked how my day was going. The hotel is also in a good location. Lots of places nearby to eat and it's close to the Interstate.
My stay was great, it was my Honeymoon/French Quarter Festival. The beds were so amazing, very comfortable. We loved it! Yea!

We stayed at this hotel while attending the Final Four held in the Louisiana Superdome. The location was ideal...adjacent to I-10 and only about 10 minutes to the Superdome and the French Quarter.

we stayed here it was very clean and quiet. The staff was very helpful and pleasent. The location while it is a bit far from Burbon steet it is right on a bus line or you can take a taxi for about $25. I don't want to stay right in the action this is the place to stay.

"Run down property"
We stayed here on Final Four weekend. The exterior of the property is run down and dingy. The motel has exterior corridors with all rooms opening to the outside. The elevators are in bad shape, and the only working ice maching was on the first floor, which makes for a fun trip at 11pm from the third floor trying to find a working ice machine. The room […] itself, on initial review, appeared to be very clean and modern. But I ended up having to kill a few fly's a few minutes after arrival. The staff were friendly and helpful, but the constant smoking of the maintenance and housekeeping staff was annoying and distateful. The housekeeping and maintenance room is on the first floor near the elevator and stairs, so you can't avoid the cloud of cigarette smoke as you try to leave the motel each morning. Les mer

Chose this location because of price and ease of access to downtown. Was going to use the pool but it was really full of kids having a lot of fun! So it's very family friendly...

This is my third time at this hotel. I find it convenient, clean, friendly and good value for the money. If only the desk clerk was a bit more computer savvy... It would take less time to check-in.

La Quinta Inn in Meterie Louisiana was very nice close to our trip parade for St. Patricks Day.Our rooms were nice and clean and the room we stayed in was quite.The service was good and I liked the fact that security officer was on site,I will stay there next year!!!! Room was not cleaned after guests before us. Beds unmade, bathroom not cleaned. Dirty, disgusting and will NEVER stay at this or any LaQuinta again. We were attending a reunion, and really didn't plan on staying in the motel room much. The facilities were quite adequate, the room was clean, and the only problem was that our second level room faced toward I-10 (after I had specifically asked for a room on the back side, away from the highway). Even with facing the highway, when the door was closed there was no noise. Comfortable beds, clean bathroom, spacious room, would return. Went with friends.

As I walked in I was confronted with an armed Sheriff and an employee on the phone. The room was clean and orderly but the door did not fit the frame with large gaps letting in light as well as air. Reservations were for a King non-smoking. When we arrived they only had a King smoking room or two regular (not even queens). The air conditioner in the room was not working. The hotel is very comfortable. There is security that patrols at night which puts my mind at ease when staying at the back of the property. It is very quite and no unwanted interruptions. "Quite a let down"
Bearing in mind that this is a 2 star hotel - I tried not to be too disappointed. However, we had just stayed at a very nice La Quinta in San Antonio, so we felt confident about this reservation. Boy were we surprised. There was a used washcloth hanging from the top of the shower, and the curtain was moldy. The room was super tiny with very little floor […] space (we had two double beds rather than one king). The beds were terrible! After night one I actually ended up crying because of the pain in my back. Night two I didn't even try to sleep; I just propped myself up on the pillows and read. overall the stay was great. the only thing was the door. it appears to be in need of repair. was able to lock door after 3-4 tries. the door looked like it had been kicked in at the bottom. beds comfy and the a/c cold! only fast food places near;traveled to kenner to golden corral for buffet which had variety of selections. there was a dennys in front […] of the motel . that is under demolition or reconstruction at the present. that was why we chose this place because of dennys which had good food. dont know what is coming. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room had a very funny odor and I have to buy some air freshner to freshing it up. I called room service for trash bags for the garbage cans only to find out they don't put garbage bags in their trash cans. I had to go out to the store to get some trash bags. "Over priced"
This hotel needs a remodeling and is not up to par for the other LaQuinta I have stayed in. It is terribly over priced even for the New Orleans area.
