the Austin hotel at Oldorf was great we aere travelling with a pet and it was perfect. We will stay at La Qionta in the future

The air conditioner was noisy. The bathroom door hinge was off so you couldn't close the door. You had to hold down the handle for the toilet to flush. Breakfast was terrible, nothing there by 9:00. Awful stay....

Good place. convenient to downtown venues and reasonably priced. Don't miss SuperBurrito two blocks west on the left!

Poor maintenance, walls dented, water dripping on shower, very annoying, wet spot carpet.

Inside of room clean; ourside somewhat run down; many cigarette butts on the ground outside my top floor room, and on the stairs. My door jammed and was very difficult to open from both sides. The hotel staff very kind and helpful.

We stayed here two nites during a convention downtown. The neighborhood is nothing to write home about but the price was right. The lobby was shabby, needed paint and the floor needed mopping but the clerk was friendly helpful and quick. We were pleasantly surprised with our room. It was squeaky lean, The beds were comfy and the linens were good quality […] . Bring your own shampoo though if you have more hair than a buzz. The single teaspoon (really) of shampoo was inadequate and washing my hair with bar soap left my hair looking like a bad wig. If you need a comfy clean bed at a reasonable price and are going to work or Play all day in Austin this may be just the place . Les mer

Good place to be close to downtown but not have to pay the expensive downtown hotel prices. Clean updated rooms make the outside room entrances seem not so bad. A portion of the hotel is all enclosed, I assume those were the suites.

This is the worst hotel ever. Do not stay no matter what. I have stayed anywhere this horendous in my life. Blow it up and rebuild!

Nice, clean room and central location. But if you need reliable WiFi -- this ain't the place. Speed range from Poor to None. A pity: Otherwise, I'd rate the place as a bargain.

We chose this hotel because I was going to be in Austin for a conference and needed to be close to downtown but didn't need much else. The hotel offered free wi-fi (although it was slow at times, probably because it wasn't password protected), and the front desk employees were consistently friendly. Other than that, I have nothing else positive to […] say about the hotel. I would not stay here again. The low cost was attractive, but for only slightly more, I could have stayed at a hotel, closer to the center of downtown, that wasn't in disrepair. My room seemed like it was recently cleaned when I checked in, but there was some drywall damage to one of the ceilings, and nothing ever seemed "fresh" even after room service. Les mer

I stayed at this hotel because the ones downtown were too pricey and it was accessible to all the hot spots via public transportation. The continental breakfast was really good (waffles!) but was not regularly replenished by staff unless one told them to do so. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. Regarding the room, the toilet handle was […] falling off and one had to hold it down until it completely flushed. The beds were the most comfortable I've slept on in a hotel except the fact that I felt some bugs crawling on me (but no bedbug bites though). I got a non-smoking room with 2 double beds so I switched beds. It was an improvement. Make sure you ask the hotel for fresh bedding the day that you arrive. Also, the satellite TV didn't have great reception. Overall, primarily because of the price, I'd stay at this hotel again. Les mer

This hotel is close to downtown Austin, but is rather tired and in need of a redo. For example, I had a hard time getting into the room, as the lock was on its last legs. However, the price is cheap. The rooms are very clean. Beds are comfortable. Nice location. The staff was extremely nice and helpful. I would stay here again.

Great location to downtown, great price. Thin walls, could hear everything going on outside room. Flimbsy dead bolt lock. Good for a one night stay, would not choose this hotel for anything longer than that.

Located off a busy freeway access road. Constant road noise and difficult exit during rush hour. Downstairs rooms are noisy and you can hear the upstairs tenants walking and dropping suitcases. Located next to a busy I-35 access road. Exiting the hotel during rush hour is extremely difficult. The rooms are small and noisy. Tfhe downstairs rooms have the constant thuds and banging of upstairs residents. The hotel is frequented by construction workers who start their diesel pickup early in the morning and socceer youth who stay up late at night […] partying. Les mer

This is an older property and the age shows. The was clean, but very basic. Neighborhood is a bit iffy and the room cost seemed high for waht you receive.

Close to freeway I-35 can be seen from hwy. Have a Sonic & luby's caferteria across the road for food. Located on a very buzy side road but was pleasantly peaceful . Breakfast was like all LaQuinta's but did lack bananas in am. FRont desk help 110% as the ancient computer/printer they had was not working properly so they printed my boarding pass. The hotel was ideally situated for me; staff was polite and efficient. Hotel could use a bit of paint, but room was clean. My only complaint was the 3.30 wake-up call from people partying outside. The checkin clerk had said that if there were any problems to call the front desk, as they have a security person available, so I think they've had that problem […] before. Not a great neighborhood. Not anywhere near downtown. However, Peckerhead gormet pizza on 6th street is the best per slice brick oven pizza ever. The thirsty nickel on 6th has 1 dollar ice cold lone star and tecate with live music and no cover. Jhonny Johns sandwiches on 6th rocked my world 3 times #9 and PF changs downtown has best food happy hour with 2 & 3 dollar beer and […] great dry ribs etc... Truelucks rest. Overpriced and under delivered. Halcyon you can smoke a cigar and drink on the street with music and eclectic crowd, but watch out for Vixen. Parking is tough. Also the bats on the bridge are very cool when 1.5 mil. mexican fruit bats take off all at once! Austin is a dirty city but lots of fun and seems safe. Les mer

I was in town for a convention on a slim budget and this hotel was perfect. There is a Starbucks across the street and the free daily breakfast was good. They had pancakes in the shape of Texas (you did need to use at least a cup and a half of the batter though, one cup full does not do it!). Room was also quite spacious.
