Hotel worked beautifully for our stay - close to everything in Midtown and Subway stops. Great price due to the fact that the hotel is quite dated in decor...that said, it was a wonderful value. I would definitely stay there again. Try the White Martini in the downstairs bar - delicious.

Awesome family getaway! Only rated it 4 stars because I have never been to a 5 star hotel and I imagine they do something amazing that I don't even know about.

This was my first time in New York and I had a wonderful time. The Hilton hotel is located right in the heart of Manhattan. I had a wonderful time and was very pleased with the hotel.

The Hilton has a good reputation. Hotel is centrally located to many venues-restaurants, museum, historical sites and office. Was able to mix some business with family vacation. Staff is very professional, helpful and nice.

Lovely Hotel only fault it was a family room with four people with only three towels supplied.

Room was very, very small. Smallest room I've ever stayed in anywhere.

Great location, close to many must see sights. Hotel itself is of average standard compared to others from same chain. Room was clean, however, toilets/restrooms in public areas (ground up to 5th floor) were invariably in a disgusting situation.

Just spend three days in this hotel with the four of us (two kids, 8 and 10). Had a room with two queen beds. For the four of us it was just fine, although queen beds are always a little to small for a family with two kids. But that has little to do with the hotel, more with our budget :). We had breakfast in the Deli around the corner and did almost […] everything walking. The hotel is very central to a lot of nice things: Times Square, 5th ave, Central park. We even walked to the Empire State (get the express pass: it saves time!). For us, New York is a city where you don't spend time in the hotel, so we didn't get a lot of experience with it: beds and room are good/great; staff is friendly, doormen are very friendly and give good advice. I've already booked the same hotel for july before we did the trip last week and after this experience, we're glad to stay in the same hotel! Les mer

I've stayed in quite a lot of hotels in New York. This stay was for one night with a girlfriend. It was the least expensive hotel I could find with two Queen beds. I was pleasantly surprised. The lobby was huge and beautiful, the room was large, clean and comfortable. The staff were very nice, I asked for late check out and they gave it to me for free […] until 4pm. We were able to get the room early, no problem. I think I'll stay there next time I go, really nice. Les mer

This hotel was not expensive at all and it was absolutely beautiful. It was immaculately clean and decorated very nicely. Everything about it was wonderful.

Great location, well-maintained hotel, walking distance to Times Square, Central Park, Broadway theaters, etc. Good taxi options, and nearby subway station. Starbucks in the hotel and right across the street. The Cafe in the lobby is a rip-off - avoid it. Room service is decent, but not the quickest. Good fitness center and bar. I would have give this hotel a perfect rating but they forgot or neglected to clean our room on one occasion. Other than that it is a great hote in an excellent location. The staff is friendly and they work hard to keep you happy. Room service was good and the food was very good.

Everything was good except when we arrived dishes from the prior occupant of the room was still there when we checked out.

Excellent location for us to see most of the city by foot. Saved $$$$ in cab fares. Most staff were very friendly, always acknowledging you as they walked by. Don't use the Theatre /Tours ticketing desk in the lobby. The two women there were very rude and pushy. They try to bully you into buying what they want you to buy and you can get the tickets […] yourself online or at the vendor saving yourself hundreds of dollars. Les mer

We spent one night at the Hilton in Avenue of the Americas recently. Overall, we were very happy with the experience. Staff were helpful and efficient. It's a busy place and this was evident when trying to get an elevator during the morning rush. Positives - good value, nice room, central location, good and helpful staff. Not so good - price of breakfast, […] pay access for wifi in our bedroom and high charges for use of business desk. Having said that, I'd definitely recommend the Hilton. Les mer

The hotel was not well maintained. The door had a broken security bolt, so that didn't make us feel comfortable. There was a giant red stain in the middle of the carpeting - didn't like that. Decor is not very attractive, including bed covers. There is no parking assistance for the car or none was made available to us at any cost. Overall it wasn't […] horrible, but also not memorable. The concierge is terrific. Great city views. Room was very comfortable. Decor is dated. Could use a some updating.

the location is super convenient. the room is nice and clean. the check in people are slow, rude, and not helpful sometimes.

We came for a weekend trip and this hotel may seem, on a map, a little off the beaten path, in terms of Time Square - but it is VERY CLOSE. I had concerns when we booked, because we wanted to be close to 5th Ave, the Rock, Times Square...etc. This place is seconds from 5th Ave and a couple of minutes from Times Square but far enough away that you don't […] have to deal with as much of the crowds and chaos of that area. We got a discounted rate through a travel website - and the bang for our buck was great! We have stayed at 2 other hotels in the Times Sq area and this is our favorite to date when taking the following into consideration: comfort, price, and location. Les mer

I've spent a lot of time in NYC and this was my first time staying at the Hilton New York. Great location between Times Square and Central Park. Very very nice rooms and excellent staff!

We had an issue with an oder in the bathroom when we arrived, but they fixed it right away without hesitation. Great central location.

I found a good deal on the Hilton in Times Square through a popular travel website. Upon arriving to the hotel, we were greeted accordingly and check-in took a maximum of 5 minutes.The room we were initially reserved had a faulty air flow system. Within minutes a technician showed up at our room, found the problem, and we were flawlessly transferred […] to an alternate room only a few rooms down the hall. My only negative comment is there are no vending machines. Not just at the Hilton, but at any hotel in Times Square...I MUST HAVE MY DIET COKE! Les mer

We loved the hotel. We were one block from the St. Patrick parade, a couple blocks from Central Park, close to St. Patrick's and NBC. Walking distance to Time Square. It was wonderful!!! Starbuck's in the hotel, but we went right across the street and no line and fun people. The check-in was great, super staff even for it being so busy on St. Patrick's […] Day. Would recommend staying here. Safe's in the room were an added bonus, as Daddy bought his little girl a gift from Tiffany's. Memories forever!! Les mer

The hotel is located in an excellent location close to Times Square, Central Park, 5th ave, etc. The overall experience was excellent. Without an additional fee, the front desk helped us out when we had last minute additions to our trip and gladly changed our room to a double bed. I could not have been more please with my stay. We were within walking distance of Times Square and numerous other attractions. Thankfully there was a pharmacy a block away for medications I forgot to pack. The Hilton was a very good choice in regard to room size and amenities. The service was excellent. I recommend it for anyone.

Considering the price the Hilton in Midtown NYC is a tremendous bargain.The room was spacious and well appointed with a generous sized flat screen HD TV and ample bathroom.The prime location allows guests to walk to everything.

Perfect stay except a/c unit didn't work when we woke up in the middle of the night, very stuffy. Check it before bed! Also, very big hotel, plan on things taking a little longer because of its size. Recommended.

I used to stay at this hotel when I attended conferences in NY. The quality of the hotel seems to have gone down. We arrived on St. Patricks day so it was very busy. The staff was able to get us an early check in with no wait. However, the room was much to be desired. Elevators on one side, which we listened to going up an down all night, housekeeping […] on the other side, so we heard constant chatter from the staff. This hotel is very conveniently located. It is within walking distance to central park, times square, 5th avenue shopping, etc. The hotel is huge. It could appear to be a little un-personal. Service, for the most part, is efficient. Overall it is a nice hotel that I will come back to because of its location and overall value.

We came for a quick weekend trip to celebrate a birthday. From the time we got to the hotel until we left the staff was friendly and accommodating, from the woman at the front desk to the cleaning staff. Additionally, the location is amazing. From the bellboys to the concierge to the front desk receptionists, I was consistently surprised to see that the staff was not in the slightest engaging, much less happy to be there. Calling the concierge from your room is pointless: I tried four times and was even put through to the concierge desk by the front desk, to no avail. The room was extremely noisy and very small for the rate paid. I wouldn't stay here again even though the location was very convenient.

My only complaint about the hotel is even on the 31st floor we could hear everything on the street- from the people, to the cars, etc. Other than that, everything was as expected.
