I assumed that most hotels these days come with a mini fridge, so I was surprised when I checked in and I didn't have a place to store my infant's food. I had to pay $10 for the use of a fridge for one night. The iron didn't work, and the pricey seafood/prime rib buffet was ok and then made me sick. Excellent location in the heart of Knoxville. The room was very cleaned daily and in very good condition. They are in the process of renovating the rooms and during the day I did hear some drilling but nothing which caused a problem, all work ceased by late afternoon and did not start until 10am. I had a wonderful experience at the Crown Plaza in Knoxville TN. The hotel was very clean and convienent. The staff was very polite and the food was amazing. I will defintely reccommend this hotel to everyone !!

Great location in mid town, with all the sights within walking distance. Old town has many great shops and you feel lright at home here.

Located right downtown, and within a 15 minute walking-distance of the University of Tennessee campus. Great restaurants, as well as pubs/bars, are also within a 5-minute walk. The staff was friendly, the hotel was clean and comfortable, and I would stay here again. The only drawback is the price, but for a downtown hotel, even that isn't too bad.

"Crown Plaza Downtown Knoxville"
For the price, the room was small. An air freshener had been used on the carpet. I asked for an air scrubber as I began to have a headache from the strong fragrance. Would have liked a balcony to get fresh air as the windows would not open. Very nice hotel staff and nice restaurant. Great location for walking downtown. Good parking.
We've always been very pleased with Crown Plaza. Location is perfect for our activities. They are always ready to assist your needs. Looking forward to our next stay.
"Comfortable and convenient"
I stopped off in Knoxville on a road trip south and this hotel was great. Good location, plenty of bars and restaurants to choose from nearby. A good gym on hand in the hotel. Would recommend it. Also, if you're attending an event at the Coliseum it's a 15 minute walk - no problem at all.

"The Crowne Plaza Hotel in downtown Knoxville-"
The hotel was very luxurious and quite affordable. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. It is also conveniently located to marketsquare which has restaurants for any budget and taste as well as great little shops. We loved the area.

"TN Bar Exam"
We stayed for one night before the TN Bar Exam. The location was great as I could drive him to the U of T campus easily and then walk over to downtown to eat and hang out. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful with directions and also allowing late checkout. The room and bathroom were very nice and clean. Most of the electrical outlets did […] not work though. The elevators were awful. One smelled like body odor and the other like urine. As we were staying on the 12th floor, it was really bad. The fire alarm went off while I was there so I had to walk down and up 12 stories of stairs. The alarm system was very clear and everything was marked. luckily it was a false alarm. Les mer

I've lived in Knoxville most of my life. The night of my wedding, I wanted to stay in what I thought was one of the nicer hotels in town, and not in my house (plus, I had houseguests staying at my place). For these reasons, I chose the Crowne. The hotel staff was very courteous and professional. Parking was an additional $6 per day; not used to it, […] but, okay, whatever. Room was very comfortable, affording a good night's sleep. My surprise came with the condition of the hotel. Personally, I judge a hotel by its attention (or lack thereof) to detail, primarily with the condition of the corners of the rooms. The bathroom fixtures are in dire need of modernization, and the leak stains in the corners, as well as the very "worn-in" status of the room left much to be desired. Overall, I thought the hotel was nice, but, in a word, "overrated." Les mer
"Crowne Plaza - Knoxville right on the Market Squar"
The hotel was beautiful. The room was a little small and had too much funiture which made it crowded. The bathroom was small and the handicap handle in the bathtub was broken. (Found that out the hard way). However, it was very clean and well serviced. The hotel is very convenient to the market square and downtown shops. Overall very nice.

This was a perfectly fine if somewhat pricy hotel in Downtown Knoxville. The staff was unable to accommodate a requirement for a nonsmoking room but did install an ozone machine for a few hours which meant that although I woke up wheezing the next morning I didn't have a full-blown asthma attack. "Knoxville Crowne Plaza"
I loved the hotel! We stayed for 2 nights and it was in perfect location to walk to the concert we were seeing. The hotel was clean and the shower had strong water pressure. The staff was nice and friendly, and we were offered valet service as soon as we drove up. Very nice hotel, would recommend it to anyone. And yes, you can hear everything through […] the walls but we didn't have a problem with that during the night- only in the morning hours, around 8-11. People were very nice and informational. The room was nice, and bed was comfortable. Easy access to eating/social places. (in walking distance) Pool was larger than most, and exercise room was awesome.

Not as nice as other Crowne Plaza hotels that I've stayed at...room was nice and beds comfortable but smaller room than other Crowne Plaza hotels that I've been to. Biggest annoyance was that the wireless internet never worked during my one-day stay, even after spending 30 minutes on the phone with the wireless company technical staff, a waste of time... "A budget hotel experience for a luxury price"
This place should really just change to a budget hotel. It's dirty and old. The bathroom has rusty, filthy ceiling tiles. There was a grimy, old, stained recliner in the room. It was so dirty that I decided to check for bed bugs. I didn't find any signs of them, but I did find a condom under my mattress. The room is loud--you can hear anything and […] everything that goes on in the hallway and in the rooms around you. I could hear high schoolers in the hallway and the person peeing in the bathroom next door. I guess that's why every room comes with earplugs and an eye cover on the bed. Not an enjoyable stay. The room was not worth the money we paid for the night. If we book directly with hotel rather than through Hotels . com it would of saved us quite a bit of the daily cost. Breakfast was extra cost!

The staff was the best part of the hotel stay. I had alot of questions about the area and they found the answers I needed immediately. I will be staying here again.

The hotel was very nice and the staff was extremely helpful. Location was great, too. Our only complaint, and it is a big one, is that several rooms on our floor had barking dogs. These dogs would bark for hours.

"Too many dogs"
When we arrived, there was a large dog barking in the next room. We were moved to the room over the dog and the hotel staff reached the owners. From the room we were moved to you could frequently hear a yippy dog barking for long periods of time. It was really annoying. Its unfortunate because the rooms were nice and the staff was very accommmodating. I feel like my decision to stay at this hotel was a good one. If you are looking for designer furniture and super sleek modern decor/architecture then this hotel is not going to impress you. This is basically a good hotel if you're in town for UT related games or business but I wouldn't stay in this hotel if I were, say, on vacation. While it is overall […] clean, the decor is dated. In our room our duvet was dirty and a clean one was promptly and courteously brought to us by very friendly hotel staff. "One of the best hotels I've ever stayed in!"
I had amazing time at this hotel- the bell man and front desk staff were more than helpful and accomodating- they even gave bowls and treats to our dog! The rooms were very nice (comfy beds!) and the location was fabulous- only about a mile from the Vols stadium and right in the middle of downtown; we never drove anywhere.
