"La Quinta in Nacogdoches"
The hotel staff was very professional and courteous, I got exactly what I reserved - two queen beds on the ground floor in a room with a microwave and refridgerator. No problem for check-in, pulled my name up and acknowledged payment without having to present the receipt. Room was clean, as was the bathroom. The bathroom was two sections, the sink section […] did not have a door so you walk through the door for the tub and commode. The tub/commode section was so small you had to straddle the commode or stand in the tub to close the door. Otherwise, overall nice, clean, comfortable, and safe. Good location as you come into town so you don't have to fight "downtown" traffic to get to the hotel. Breakfast was waffles, hard-boiled eggs, tubes of cereal, stale bread to make toast, and pre-packaged bagels, muffins, and oatmeal, yogurt, coffee, juice, and cartons of milk. About what you expect for normal continental breakfasts. Overall - good experience, will recommend to others and probably will stay there again in the future. Les mer

very convenient area. a little too close to the main street, can hear cars driving by sometimes. a little scary too. There is a patch of wood right behind hotel. I saw a guy waking out of the woods when I was walking my dog. Creepy! hotel does accept dog which is good but you can smell dog odor when you walk in the room. Bed was okay but carpet was […] dingy and dirty looking. This hotel really needs a facelift. They need to clean the vent area in the bathroom. Lots of dust in the vent. Yuck! Breakfast was okay. They did not fill the juice on the second day that I was there. The staff on the first day was pleasant but the male staff in the lobby on second day acted like he did not want to be there. People were still eating breakfast and he quickly cleared everything exactly at 9. He even put away all the napkins and utensils. I guess I have to use my hands to eat and shirt to wipe my mouth:( overall, not the worst place that I stayed at but definitely not great. Les mer

Everything couldn't have worked out better. We were in town for a wedding and needed to be different places on time. The hotel staff helped us check in and out quickly with no hassle, the room was clean and comfortable, there was little to no noise at night, the location was great just down the street from where we needed to be. "Courteous staff, room not so great"
This hotel is in need of updating. Even though I had a non-smoking room, there were burns on the bathtub. The beds had been made, and the room was neat, but I'm not so sure it had been cleaned in weeks. There was hard toothpaste in the sink. The staff I dealt with were very pleasant, which gave me high hopes in the beginning. That didn't make up for […] the dust and evidence of previous guests. Les mer

"Don't try & save money & stay here! Pay the...."
Horrid!!! La Quinta gave us the wrong room and in that bed- there was a spider! they corrected their mistake. In the room we booked there were clumps of hair in the shower, hair on the toilet, eye lashes on the pillow cases, dirty socks in the closet & I could not open the door! When I asked the attendant to open the door & mentioned I was miserable […] there he just brushed it off! Never Never Never again! All in the name of saving $20 bucks! Will never do that again! "La Quinta Hotel in Nacogdoches, Texas"
The hotel was an older hotel with rooms outside. The rooms were loud. The heater kept me up all night with all the sounds. The traffic outside was really loud with the trucks on the street and highway beside the hotel. The other guests were loud and they would click their cars locked. The coffee maker didn't work in our room and some of the plugs did […] not work. I got the hair dryer to work when I pushed in the circuit breaker. The tv picture jumped so it was hard to watch. The wifi stopped working after 15 minutes. The girl at the desk said the maintenance man had left for the night. She said there was wifi in the lobby. The girl at the desk said the manager might compensate us but he didn't. He said he would look in the room to see if the coffee maker would work. I am a flight attendant for 40 years and this was the worst hotel I have stayed in. Les mer

"unhappy camper"
I booked this hotel because it is near my neice's apt. Because of the overbooking I missed the Graduation party I had driven 4 hours to make. Instead I spent and extra hour driving back and forth from Lufkin. I came to Nacodoges for her gradution from SFA. Thanks for nothing. I paid for 6 hours sleep.
"Very competitve hotel rate for the area...."
The room was clean and looked as if it had been renovated at some point. The sheets and bed were comfortable, but the pillows were very hard. We did appreciate the extra pillows already in the room even if they weren't as soft as we like. Wireless internet was easy to detect and access. The breakfast was disappointing, though. There were a lot of high […] fat/high carb offerings like waffles and muffins, but not enough good protein choices. It would have been nice to see a hot item like sausage links or even hard boiled eggs to round out the choices. All in all, though, the price through Hotels.com was unmatched in the area and if I had to visit Nacogdoches again, I'd select this hotel. Les mer
"Will return"
There was a long wait to check in but it was understandable because there was an entire boys baseball team in the lobby. They were extremely loud but the clerk kept her cool and perservered. She did an awesome job considering the circumstances. Other than that, our stay was perfect. The room was clean. Bad musty odor, small uncomfortable beds and pillows. water changed from hot to cold during shower. Too few TV channels, hair dryer did not work. Other hotel down the street was same price and much nicer.

I checked in after 2 pm and there were still waffles remnants and fruit loops on the breakfast tables. My personal bathroom had blue liquid (hopefully cleaner) just laying in the tub AND sprayed on the commode! I sat down on it BEFORE I realized it, unacceptable. The mattress was sub standard. The pool was well maintained.

Checked in around 2pm and there was still fruit loops and waffle remnants on breakfast counters. My room had "spray" in the tub and on the commode that had not been wiped... I HOPE it was spray! The mattress was not of good quality. The pool was well maintained. Location was easily navigated. Could have been a bad day...?
