The building and especially the lobby are beautiful and the extras are many. Breakfast, afternoon meal and popcorn are all included. But in my book this does not qualify to hit the top marks. The hotel is huge and it is a un-personal machine. There are huge lines for every meal, and the meals are served on plastic plates. My room did not feel perfectly clean and the bed linen were old and should have been replaced. The location is great.

I booked this room while going to San Antonio for my husbands graduation from Basic Training. The outside of the hotel is a little weird looking...and is in kind of a run down area. But the inside of my room was AMAZING. The bed was crisp and clean and comfy. The bathroom was spotless. It had a microwave and small fridge. "Great stay"
This location is maybe 5 minutes from Lackland AFB. The room was nice and clean and the bed was very comfortable. The only thing missing was a refrigerator. Other than that the front desk clerks were very nice. The breakfast was not bad either. I would definitely recommend this hotel for anyone that has a son/daughter in BMT at Lackland.

the only thing I was really disappointed in was not having a refrigerator/microwave in room. I requested one but it was not available.

All in all my stay at La Quinta was fine. My only small complaint was the fact that there was on fridge in the room and the toilet/shower area was kinda of small. Other than that the stay was fine. "Thought this would be a decent hotel for the price"
Way overpriced. Not clean. Left room at 7AM on first of a two day stay and returned mid-afternoon. Room was not cleaned when we came back mid afternoon. We were lying down late afternnon and there was a knock on the door - cleaning person there to clean.
Very convenient if you are visiting Lackland Air Force Base.

Very nice room and people. Very good breakfast and well stocked.
Nice, older property. Surprisingly easy to get to, quiet. Very comfortable beds and very clean rooms. Continental breakfast is worth $20 by itself, with fresh waffles, fruit, boiled eggs, toast, muffins, fresh orange juice and milk, good coffee, and yogurt. My family and I will stay there again.

I was very impressed with the location so close to base, it saved alot of time. The bathrooms were a little on the small side. But other than that,hotel staff were great,friendly and very helpful. Breakfast was great too. Rooms were clean, really enjoyed our stay Thank you!!!!

"Lackland AFB Graduation"
This La Quinta Inn was located on the same road as Lackland AFB. This made is very convenient for graduation events, which is the reason I booked with this hotel. The drive from the hotel to the main gate only took five minutes or less depending on traffic. Sea World is also near the hotel and during our five day stay we never had to enter down town […] San Antonio. The front desk was very helpful and had information about the graduation events and a map of the surrounding area. I would stay here again if I ever had to visit San Antonio again. Les mer

I was very happy with the La Quinta. The staff was very friendly, The beds were comfortable. The breakfast was outstanding and there was plenty to choose from. The bathroom was a bit on the small side, but it was very clean and had a new shower head, that was bigger and much better than your usual hotel shower head. I do not beleive that I've ever been in a hotel with that small of a shower and bathroom, that was terrible!!!!!!!!!, Also, you can hear the your neighbor using the toilet next door.

I've stayed in a lot of La Quintas, and the quality of this hotel chain vary widely - as much as any chain I know. The Lackland La Quinta is is on the low end of that scale. It is an old 60's style motel that has probably changed owners multiple times. The hotel doors open to a parking lot, not a hallway. Breakfast is still good there though. And if […] you have business at Lackland AFB, you can't beat the location. We were there for my son's graduation from Basis, and it was nice to be able to pop back to the hotel to grab a jacket, and be back on base in ~15 minuts. "quinta lacksland airforce base"
A/C in 1 room did not work. No toilet paper in 1 room. No towels left in 1 room. Walls very thin, could hear everything outside and in other rooms. Staff very nice and caring though.

I enjoyed staying at this hotel. It was close to Lackland AFB and we were in town for graduation. It allowed us to have more time with our airman. "Didn't get room I booked."
I booked a room with a king bed and when we got here we were told that they had had a water leak and that all the rooms with king beds were not available. So we were put in a room with 2 full beds. Being married and used to a king bed there was no way my husband and I could share a full so we ended up sleeping in SEPARATE beds. We were suppose to have […] a fridge as well in our room with the king but being put in a different room there wasn't a fridge. When we asked the front desk if we could have one, they said they would need to charge us extra per night. They weren't really keen on helping us out so we just kept restoring the ice in our cooler that we had brought. Other than that being so close to Lackland AFB it was the perfect location for the BMT graduation we had come down for and we had brought our two dogs along as well and they didn't require a deposit for pets which was nice. They had a picnic area that had plenty of grass for the dogs to go potty. Overall it was a good stay but next time I'll probably look elsewhere to say a few dollars. Les mer

Location is the seller on this hotel. About as close as you can get to the base on Military Dr. The staff was friendly and accommodating with a couple of requests that we had at check in. The rooms were clean, just a little dated on the decor. No problems during our stay. We were in the annex and it was very quiet. We were here for BMT graduation. The Hotel is right down the street from the base, very convenient to the base. The staff at the front desk were very helpful and nice. The room was cleaned early each morning.

I was not sure about the neighborhood as I arrived late in the evening. But the staff was great, the room clean and well laid out, and the bed/pillows were comfortable. I had a good, quiet stay, and would recommend this hotel to anyone.

the staff was very pleasant and helpful, even leaving the pool area accessible until midnight. The children were gone just after the10PM closing time. They keep up the insides of rooms very well, the floors and carpeting is in great shape and clean. My bed linens looked brand new and current style.

Not having a clean room after a long drive and day is not acceptable. they were able to get us another room even through they were sold out, and that was atleast nice. "The motel is very near Lackland AFB."
The motel room was very large with a king size bed and very clean. My only complaint was the small shower. Nothing in walking distance, a car is strongly recommended.
"Worked for What I Needed"
I was in town for an Airforce graduation, so this was the PERFECT location. I ended up getting upgraded due to availablilty which was a nice suprise. The hotel clerk did mess up my check-in information in the system and housekeeping didn't come and when I checked out they thought I had only stayed one night; but I was able to clear that up.

For the price the room was tiny and the bathroom was even worse. They are pet friendly but when i went to leave my dog in the bathroom for 15mins while i got something to eat, i couldn't even close the door with her in there because it was so tiny. Seeing my som graduate from boot camp and going to Lackland AFB was great, and the hotel room didn't take away from the experience. "Needs improvement"
The hotel is located just outside Lackland AFB which in itself was convenient, but the hotel was totally lacking. It is right off of Hwy 90/IH 10 and the neighborhood is bad news to say the least. I would not recommend this hotel for anyone and will never stay in another La Quinta again.
