easy to get to right off I30. Several restaurants around. rooms clean. Internet in room worked great. bathroom was tiny and beds hardly fit 2 adults. Breakfast was terrific
had a teriblle smell outside of hotel and dog barking all nite.

Upon checking into our non-smoking room, we found the room to smell of cigarette smoke. I went back to the front desk and the clerk apologized and said they had been trying to get the smoke out of that room for three days. She gave me another room. Upon checking into it and getting ready for bed, I walked into the carpeted bathroom area in my socks […] and immediately felt the squish of wet carpet. The room was moldy and my allergies suffered. "La Quinta Hotel / Texarkana, Texas"
Horrible! I got put in what felt like an alley after asking for ground floor pull-up. There were long black hairs on the bathroom floor and on the toilet seat - I went to my mother's to shower b/c I was scared to use the bathroom facilities. When I pulled back the covers on the bed that evening I found hair on the pillow & 1 on the sheet itself - thankfully […] my parents had a sleeping bag and I used it on top of the bed w/a borrowed pillow b/c I'd been driving all day and was to tired to change rooms. I kept shoes and/or socks on the entire time because there was dirt on the floor behind the door. The ceiling had a patch job on it that looked like a 4 year old did it - and the grounds when I arrived at 2:30pm already had trash on them. The lady working the front desk was very friendly though. The room would not regulate temperature so it was either cold or hot but never comfortable. The group of young people in the room next to me clearly had rented the room to party and cared nothing about the other's surrounding them. There was no trashbag's in the trash can's and the bathroom one had 'dirt' in the bottom of it as well. The mattress was so soft you literally sank into it and I woke with aches in my hips due to having no support. Between the bed and the nightstand there were crumbs on the carpet and dust on the top of the light shades that was clearly visible. Overall, this is one of the WORST experiences I've ever had in a hotel and I am just thankful that I had family close by to provide me with the items to sleep in and to allow me to bathe at their home. "The Hotel in Texarkana, Texas"
The service was very poor and we had problems with the toilet being backup and the staff was very uncooperative. Terrible condition of the hotel and breakfast was terrible. The staff was ok but not up to resolving issues in a proficient manner. When asked for the maintenance to come to resolve the issue with the toilet they said he was not available […] that we would have to try to use a toilet plunger and do it ourselves. Unbelievable! "Needs upgrade/renovation"
First, a disclaimer: As a member of the US Armed Forces, I have stayed in worse. I did not have near the problem with it that my wife did. Having said that, the room was clearly in need of a makeover. First the pros: Friendly service at the front desk. Extremely convenient to the highway, yet felt safe/quiet enough to walk the dog at night. Motel style […] allowed us to offload/onload quickly. Brand new(ish) HDTV with Dish network. Free wifi (always a plus these days) Skipped breakfast in the morning. Cons: Why is it all the pet friendly hotels ALL smell like ashtrays? Our bathroom had stains in both the toilet and shower (so much so the wife abstained from showering). The ventilator in the bathroom hadn't seen a duster in a while. And the piece' de resistance was the fact that the maid had missed emptying out the trash can. This is what drove the wife over the edge. Overall, not a terrible night's sleep (as I said, I've had worse), but we'll choose another hotel next time. Les mer

The young lady at the desk, when we checked in (@ 6pm), was very nice & helpful. The room was not as nice or clean as it could have been.
"Horrible hotel - don't stay there!"
Though not the cheapest in the area this hotel was unbelievable. The 2nd bed in the room was not even made up (pillows piled in the middle of bed, covers disheveled), bathtub dirty, room furniture moved all around, big stain in the middle of the carpet. Honestly - I doubt that the room had been cleaned at all. AVOID!

Unlike other hotels at the same rate, I found this hotel to be worth every penny. We got there late around 10:30 p.m. The hotel clerk was very polite and courteous. The room was clean. We always check out the bathroom, especially the drainage and water in the tub. It was great. Beds were nice and clean, but most of all, comfort. "Old building"
The first thing we noticed is that the key didn't work. After five minutes, we tried to find a hotel clerk, but there was a sign she was gone; so, we kept trying until finally it opened. The second thing we noticed was the very dirty carpet. The a/c kept cutting off even when the room was not cooled. Breakfast in the am was very nice. "Terrible"
The rooms smelled terrible. The hotel was old. The hotel was in a very bad part of town. Their was drug deals going on in the parking lot and prostitutes walking in the parking lot. It was very noisy also. Worst hotel experience I have ever had.
"La Quinta Texarkana"
Typical older style La Quinta that has been maintained very well. Room was comfortable, with a nice dressing area with good mirrors. Room with tub/shower and toilet was small. No refrigerator. La Quinta breakfast was one of the better ones of the La Quintas we've stayed at recently.

"Lower end LaQuinta"
Older version of LaQuinta...not their new Inn and Suites version located on the northeast side of the I-30/Stateline intersection. Very small bathrooms, bath drain was slow, pool and pool area showed age of hotel, wireless network was weak in the room (sometimes in and sometimes out). Beds were fine and breakfast was good

Stayed here while at a dog show. Was very pleased with hotel.
Carpet was wet and food was under the beds. The beds were very uncomfortable. The room stunk. Someone found glass in the pool while we were there and they had to close the pool. The kids were not very happy, especially when it was 100+ outside. Staff was friendly.

The hotel is just off of the interstate but a little confusing on how to get to it. The hotel is an older property in need of some updating. "Good for the Price!"
Was the average 2 star motel although Bathroom was extremely small. Room was a good size for an overnight stay. I would not recommend any longer stay though. Continental Breakfast was good and well stocked with plenty of seating.

I stopped at this motel with my two daughters. I am always nervous about staying in any hotel without my husband but this one did not make me at all nervous. My only complaint would be they put us in a room on the very back of the property but that is most likely because we were traveling with a small dog. There were tons of restaurants around the hotel […] for us to choose to eat at and easy access on and off the highway. Great stay, nothing overly fancy but clean safe and great value. I would recommend it to anyone. Outside looks a little sketchy but mainly due to cleaning surrounding area.

Pros: Cheap, close to freeway, dogs stay free, and decent breakfast. Cons: Guest come in and out at all hours and the walls are thin. We were able to hear all noises and it was difficult to sleep. If you do stay here, ask to stay in the main building or on the second floor. We would stay here again if this was possible.

This LaQuinta is not what I came to expect. It was in terrible need of remodle or tear down & start over. Carpet were old with pee stains & smelled up the room. The trim & wood work had years of old caulk & paint over. The beautiful base in the eating area was rotted completely away under the window. We were shorted on towels. "NEVER again!!!"
First of all, there are two La Quinta hotels on Stateline Ave. fairly close together. When we checked in at 4:30, there were two cars in the parking lot. Even though we had made our reservation several days in advance, we were informed that housekeeping would have to get a room ready for us. We sat in the lobby for about 15 minutes, while the desk clerk […] kept checking on our room. Finally, a maintenance man went to see what was taking so long. Once we got our room key only one of them worked, and you had to bang against it to get it to open. In the morning we woke to find no regular coffee was left. The gas station next to the hotel had bars on the windows. A scary place to stay. Keep driving! Les mer

We stayed in Room 151 which was next to I-30. The door did not have good insulation around it and the room was noisey. The room also reeked of cigarette smoke, even though it was supposed to be a non-smoking room. The nearest ice machine and drink dispenser was about 150 feet from this room, which is a long walk on the outside. The commode was enclosed […] with the shower room and this made for very close quarters. If they have a true non-smoking room on the side away from the highway like the first night we stayed, it would be okay. If we checked in again and got another room like 151, we would leave and go to another motel. Les mer
"The La Quinta Inn on the Texas side in Texarkana"
The bed was comfortable as were the chairs. The commode is located rightr beside the tub/shower which makes it a very small space. The light for the tub/commode is outside of the room on the wall. The ice and drink machines were too far from most of the rooms. The continental breakfast was good with cereals, milk, coffe, different breads and bagels, […] real cream and you could make waffles if you wanted. The coffe was strong enough to stand your spoon in. "You get what you pay for"
There was no elevator and the outside stairs were in questionable condition. You could see the rebar from the missing concrete. When we entered the "Non Smoking" room there were ashes on the comfort. When we pulled the shetts and mattress protector back to check for bed bugs there were fresh ashes on the mattress. The room smelled like smoke. The bathroom […] was uncomfortably small and the showerhead was so low that @ 5'3" I had to bend down to rinse my hair. I was eager to get out of the hotel. I guess the saying is correct...you get what you pay for....which in this case was not much. Les mer

"LaQuinta in Texarkana - convinient pitstop"
We were on our way to Hot Springs Arkansas and needed to rest for the night. The hotel was right off the interstate and very easy to find.
"A nice room for a good rate"
I was just passing through on my way to Dallas and just wanted a place to sleep. I had spent the night before at another chain in Nashville and had paid the same amount. Based on that I was not expecting much at all. I was pleasantly surprised. The room was clean and didn't smell...my main priorities. Everything worked. It was close to the freeway (a […] plus for me..I don't care about traffic noise) and there were gas stations and restaurants nearby. Even a Whataburger just across the street. No sound proofing, I felt like I could hear everything around, from people talking outside, people talking in the room above, even the water draining from the above shower was remarkably load.

This hotel is good for the price. There is nothing special about this hotel. The front desk does help out quickly with any issues that may arise, very friendly. The first room I was given had a broken shower head that sprayed more water outside the bathroom than inside the shower itself. The hotel quickly changed my room with no incident. The first […] room also did not have any type of microwave or refrigerator which was necessary for my extended stay. Housekeeping is very friendly and thorough.
