MCM Elegante Suites - Abilene

The price hasn't gone down, but the quality has. The breakfast was mediocre at best and served on plastic plates. The breakfast glasses are plastic throw away as well and are no bigger than a bathroom cup to rinse your mouth. The room was still fine and clean. The beds are comfortable. Don't expect the quality you used to receive at this hotel.

The Hotel has frayed carpet, poor lighting. Can't beat the cooked to order complimentary breakfast, however.

My father and I had been traveling through the us for over a month. This hotel was our last stop before heading back to Tyler, Texas. The added details of beverages, made to order breakfast, a call from the desk to make sure our accommodations were to our expectations all made this stay memorable. The lobby and foyer were tastefully decorated with plants and skylights. As a believer I truly appreciated the ten commandments being visible for all the hotels patronage to see. kb

very high value considering the quality of the room and location close to mall and restaurants nearby. complimentary breakfast was quite good.

Our suite was a great size for a 5 day, 4 night stay with a 2 year old. The living area and bathroom were a little smaller that I had anticipated, but it was still a good size. The room was a little worn, and not perfectly clean. A blanket and sheet had a hole in it, and there were black marks on the white pillows. The throw pillows were worn out. The bathroom looked like housekeeping had missed a few spots. I know some of that stuff seems trivial, but for the price I paid, I expected more. The pool was great! It was warm, a good size. The workout room was small, but had nice equipment and clean. The breakfast was very good. It had a nice selection and my daughter loved it. It is located right across from the mall and is very close to many restaurants and shops. Overall, we had a good experience, and would probably stay there again.

It exceeded our expectations. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast buffet was good. The only negative and a minor one at that, was the room temperature. It could have been a little cooler

Hotel is beautiful -- restaurant is excellent. Only thing not great was the air conditioning control didn't really seem to control our air -- We set it on 60 degrees and it was still too warm in the room.

This hotel is not the newest hotel in town, but it is the best! Great lobby, amazing breakfast (on the house!), rooms that are suite inspired with bars and flat screen tvs, indoor pool, lots of parking, near the mall, competitive rates....I could go on. We will never stay anywhere else!

Party of three, plenty of room. Great breakfast included. Only negatives - noisy neighbors and refrigerator did not work.

The Elegante has been one of the better hotels in Abilene for quite some time. That is still the case. With the full breakfast and cocktail hour the Elegante still offers some things that the newer hotels do not. However, the Elegante is starting to show it's age a little bit. Overall, there are no complaints though.

Room was very comfortable and roomy--great bed with lots of pillows. Cocktail hour was enjoyable by the fountain. Cooked to order breakfast was fantastic!! All staff were friendly, courteous and helpful. We will stay here again when in the area.

Great place to stay... Friendly employees.. this is not the frist time I stay at the Elegante...

I was very happy to stay there. Good exercise room too.

Rooms are spacious and clean, two TVs, beautiful atrium area. Only complaint was, our room was across from the vending and ice machines and you could hear them throughout the room which was a bit disappointing given the grade of this hotel. Outside that it's a nice place.

We had my daughters 13th b-day party here. The staff was great and went way above and beyond to make the party a huge success. Everyone was so helpful and courteous...I'd have to give them two thumbs WAY UP!! Thanks, again!

Overall it was a nice hotel although not what I expected for the money. There where family reunions there and a lot of kids were running around.

There were six of us staying in one double suite. We had plenty of room. The pool area was wonderful. The breakfast was great.

Location, Location, Location! This hotel was walking distance to mall, outback steakhouse. Had big atrium area with pool tables, ping pong and other games. Great hotel, great room.

Bed was comfortable, cooked to order breakfast was delicious and the hotel was very nice.

Very impressive. Beautiful decor. Indoor pool was a must. Breakfast layout was more than expected. (eggs to order) Location very convenient, surrounded by restaurants, movie theaters and the mall just across the street. Highly recommend for families. Very nice game room.

We have a small child that was entertained the entire trip. The indoor pool was great and had enforced rules. The full breakfast creates an easy start to the day. It is nice not to have to drag the kids everywhere for entertainment.

I usually stay at another hotel while in Abilene. I found this one for twenty dollars cheaper. I got a whole suite for less than the price I was paying for just a regular room at the other place. Heated pool, hot jacuzzi, awesome free breakfast, friendly staff, comfortable beds. I'm going to try the one in Dallas next.

I thought this hotel was really nice. It is directly across the street from the Abilene mall. It is also close to lots of good places to eat. The bed were really confortable. The hotel had things to do such as a heated pool, hot tub, ping pong table, pool table, shuffle board table, small game room. There were leather sofas and chairs outside of the rooms. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. I thought the hotel was great quality for the price. I would highly recommend it to anyone!

we had a great time. the hotel was beautiful and we had a lot of fun hanging out at the bar all night. breakfast in the morning was really tasty. i would love to stay there again.

The Hotel lacked the "spit and polish" of this property in days gone by. The staff seemed to be non-existent, except for one person on the desk and a housekeeper or two. The King Bed was quite comfortable. We requested maintenance soon after our arrival, but they never came (to our knowledge). The Cable TV offerings were extremely limited, and almost universally not to my liking. We would have enjoyed a good movie to end the evening, but the ppv offerings were trashy, slasher, creepy, juvenile. The Breakfast was okay, but not what we had come to expect from previous stays there. The Hotel room was nice and roomy. The WIFI connection was acceptable, but a liitle slow. We found peace and quiet in the room, and had a good night's rest. The price was quite reasonable, compared to other properties in the city.

This is a ccomfortable hotel. I can see where the noise complaints could come from if there were multiple functions going on. We were on a Sunday night and the place was great. Very comfortable rooms with plenty of room. All was clean that we came in contact with and the staff was pleasant. The morning cooks were great and friendly. The breakfast was very good.

Nice hotel except for: 1. room not very clean, ie. food stuck to bedroom door knob. 2. neighborhood kids overtook pool area 3. wedding reception outside our door in the lobby was loud and late

I loved my stay...free Internet, free breakfast, great location! It is next to everything: Walking distance from mall, restaurants, shopping Target, office depot, etc. I looked around, this is the best! It even has a Texan theme around the hotel. Better than Hilton.

Very good room but other than that not so good. Lounge played music till one but if you went down there you couldn't move without hitting someone elese. No one enforced the pool rules about adult swim.

I booked this hotel online for a one night stay and was again impressed with the service and the conditions of the rooms. They have, since my last stay, upgraded to flat-screen televisions in each room and that was a great improvement. The beds are big and comfortable and the bathrooms are so elegant and spacious. The only improvement I can recommend is that they, sometime soon, change out the living area furniture to something more contemporary. Other than that, I really enjoyed the complimentary breakfast and happy hour for guests. That is more than you can ask for at many other hotels I have stayed at.

Whenever my family of six has stayed in "suites" before, it was just one (sometimes big) room. Including the bathroom, this suite had 3 separate rooms, giving us more area to spread out as a family. The breakfast was superb. If you come away from breakfast still hungry, it's definitely through no fault of the hotel! If we are ever in the area again and have need of a hotel, we will definitely be back!

We enjoyed our stay very much. We were a bit concerned to see wedding parties and prom parties getting ready to start. We woke up delighted to find we did not hear a thing during the night. My son had a great time swimming in the pool and was sad to leave. They have great facilities for families and the breakfast they offer makes it even more convenient. It was right across the street from the mall and close to other shopping as well. We will definately stay there again.

The staff and breakfast was outstanding and the rooms were nice, clean, and big.

Loved out suite! The beds were very comfortable. I was disappointed with the access to movies and playing the video games in the room. Since we booked our room on line the room was already paid for when we checked in. To access any movies or the video games I would have had to go back down to the front desk and leave my credit card number again or pay cash. We arrived at the hotel late - so this was very inconvient! otherwise great place to go with the family!!!

The pool was closed on Easter Sunday for maintenance - very inconvenient for our family and poor timing on their part. Also, no notice of shorter breakfast buffet time.

The only problem I had with my stay is that when I got to the hotel to check in, I was told that there were no rooms available..After driving 10 hours and having made reservations two days before, I was a little angry. When the manager came over and started typing away, I was promptly checked into the room I reserved. I'm thinking it was some sort of scam, trying to get me into a cheaper room and still charging me for the one I had orginally reserved. First employee who told me that my room was not available did offer me a single bed smoking (smelly, I don't smoke)room, but never mentioned giving me a discount since my original room was not available.

Great hotel for the entire family.....kid friendly.
