Vi hadde på Crowne Plaza Hotel i forbindelse med en fotballkamp. For de som ikke vil bo på et lugubert hotell er dette absolutt et bra alternativ. Det ligger like ved shoppingsenteret Arndale. Nærmeste Metrolink-stasjon, Shudehill, ligger rett nede i gata (200 m). Ellers går det gratis shuttlebusser rett utenfor hotellet. Det er også flere matbutikker like i nærheten.

Veldig fornøyd, med unntak av at det ikke ble vasket på rommet i løpet av de dagene vi var der. Mulig vi måtte spørre om dette, men iom at de ikke vasker, burde det vært en støvsuger eller feiebrett på rommet. Ellers veldig fornøyd med beliggenhet, service og type rom.Rommet var også veldig rent og pent når vi kom.

The hotel is of a reasonable standard. I was in a room directly above the bar and kitchens. The music and an anoying squeeky door would have been intolerable had I not been so tired as to be able to ignore it. I felt the lack of wireless in the room a bit of a pain as the connection lead is too short and the £20 charge for internet access for anything […] over 1 hour is steep. The breakfast chef let me diown by starting to do my fried eggs then disappeared allowing them to go hard. By the time he returned, I had eaten the rest and had to forego them. Stayed for two nights on business. Queue for check in after a long drive and flight was not the best 'first impression' but things did improve. Room was lovely and comfortable with a nice view. We didn't have dinner in the hotel - went into town instead but breakfast was a bit chaotic. Tables weren't being reset so we were poaching items from other […] tables, chef cooking breakfast seemed to be under pressure running in and out trying to keep the buffet food topped up. Reception were very helpful and arranged wake up calls and taxis for us. All in all was an enjoyable experience and I would definately return again. Les mer

We have stayed in other hotels where internet connection is free in rooms, in our opinion the charge for internet connection at this hotel is excessive. Also, whilst you expect mini bar prices to be on the pricey side, again, this is higher than some other places we have stayed. This hotel represents good value for money and has always maintained a friendly welcome and service throughout the 15 years I have used it. There is ample car parking and good food and it is convenient for Manchester city centre just 10 minutes away, it is also close to various local attractions.

we had an excellent 2 night stay here in september. 10 minutes walk to old trafford cricket ground. amazing to leave a music concert,walk back to the hotel and be drinking coffee(with a tot) outside the hotel at midnight by the waters edge. good hot plentyful breakfast with nice views to set you up for the days city trekking.

This hotel is well located and basically comfortable for the price. The breakfast is very over priced if you do not book it the day before. Staff were friendly and the place was clean.

"Down at heel"
For a Copthorne it was a disappointment. Chipped furniture, tatty bedding, an old portable telly that I had to ring down to reception to get it to work, and the bathroom looked as though it had been last fitted out (badly) in 1983. I slept well, the breakfast was pretty good, but my overall impression was not good.

Enjoyable stay.
"Decent hotel - convenient for the Quays, etc"
Stayed a single Saturday night in June. Good price through Hotels.com (note the basic advertised rack price is absurdly high). Check in quick and efficient, hotel looked clean and smart. Parking just by entrance a bit limited (not helped by two large coaches taking up space) and not secure - barriers fixed in up position. We were given a "disabled" […] room, pull cord alarms and notices in bedroom and bathroom. The benefit was that it was a lot larger than the majority of the rooms as shown on the hotel plan. Room on fourth floor overlooking car park and main road. Warm night so we needed the windows open and there was a fair amount of traffic noise but not enough to keep us awake. We did not eat in the hotel - prices in the restaurant looked high for a hotel - and we did not need breakfast. Note that price of breakfast doubles if you do not order it the night before. Location is very good for Salford Quays (The Lowry, Imperial War Museum etc) and for Old Trafford. the Metro Link tram stop is just across the street which gets right into the centre of Manchester in less than 15 minutes. This hotel in ideal if visiting Old Trafford. The rooms are clean, spacious and comfortable, it is also very reasonable in price. I would go to a few football matches each season and I would definately use this hotel again.

I stayed here for two nights at the end of August two thousand and nine for Arsenal game. Thought hotel was located excellently. No more that ten minutes walk from Old Trafford stadium. Thought hotel was lovely. Staff very pleasant. Plus hotel also across the road from garage so excellent for getting treats and excellent for motorists going on […] a drive about city, you can refuel here. Also excellent for eateries from KFC to Pizza Hut and Harry Ramsdens just a couple of minutes walk down Trafford Rd therefore no need to travel to find a meal. Stayed in a Quey facing room. Best decision I made. What a lovely view to wake up to in the morning. Room was lovely as well. Plus theres Sky Sports on the tv for sports lovers. Come here. You wont regret it. Les mer

Very good hotel which is just located nicely for Manchester,best thing to do is catch the 200 or X5 bus as this caused quite a lot of confusion when we first arrived.Sky TV in the bedroom is a nice touch too. Ideally located for the Trafford centre and Old Trafford.Manchester was a little disappointing but China Town is a must and very good value,overall […] the hotel is ideal for a couple of nights away. My boyfriend and I stayed while we went to the Manchester United match. The room was lovely, clean, firm matress and a really clean en suite. Its pretty close to Old Trafford stadium, about a 5 minute walk which was great. This isn't exactly the place for shopping or a good nightlife as you have to travel into town for these things although the Lowry […] outlet mall, is close about a ten/fifteen minute walk. The food is a bit pricey but as it is a four star hotel its expected, a little over rated but nice all the same. The staff were great very helpful, however if travelling try opt for the bus as taxi's are pretty expensive even when booked through the hotel and the bus stop is just outside the hotel. The metro link is also just down the road. All together, a good hotel, clean with friendly, helpful staff. Les mer

Great location for Old Trafford and Lowry Museum/mall. Very friendly and helpful staff. easy access from motorways. Rooms at front hear noise from main road which often went on till early hours. All in all good value and will definately stay again.

A pleasant location overlooking the quay, the downside was the room itself. A dirty bathroom, with soap scum and grease all around the bath and tiles, cold water pressure low cleaned teeth in bath! broken lampshade. and bulbs not working, definately not worthy of the AA 4 star rating. "Great hotel for short break"
The location is great - nicely out of the city centre so very easy to get to by car. There is a large free car park which will save you about £16 / day compared to city centre hotels The tram link couldn't be closer (exchange quay station is just over the road - takes 15 minutes to get to Moseley street which is the closest stop for Deansgate, or 20 […] mins to Picadilly Gardens) There are plenty of restaurants about 5 mins walk away and the Lowry is about 10 mins walk away. The hotel itself is modern and stylish, the rooms are all of a high standard with all the amenities you could need. The staff are friendly and knowledgable about the local area. Considering the breakfast is a self-service buffet its of a very good standard, and there's someone to fry eggs on demand which is a nice touch. I was very impressed with the hotel it was worth the money charged, my room had view of the quay and was very clean. Had to wait a while to book in but was there early and room was ready so they let me have the room a bit eariler. On arrival,there was nobody available to help with our bags from the car into the hotel.Going to dinner in the evening,after being seated we had to wait for 10 to 15 minutes before being asked if we would like a drink,and at that time,there were approx seven diners in the hotel restaurant. I have to heavily criticise the breakfast voucher system the […] next morning. Had to queue for approx 15minutes,as every guest were asked if they wanted the bill attached to ther room bill,or were they paying for breakfast there and then. booked this hotel for the Champions league final and was very impressed, perfect location for Old Trafford, right next to Metro. The only problem was our lock broke in the morning so we were locked in!! Even after this I would recommend this hotel to anyone, Clean, Tidy, Good Service!!
