Copthorne Hotel Manchester - Salford

Et greit hotell når det kommer til standard på rom og hotellets restaurant/lobby, men samtidig er hotellet så lytt at man hele tiden får servert lyder fra andre rom og ev. andre gjentagende irriterende lyder. Slet med å sove to av nettene på grunn av lyden. Vil derfor ikke anbefale hotellet videre til noen, selv om standarden på servicen og rommene […] var tilfredsstillende nok og dette er noe ikke hotellets personale kan noe for. Les mer

Safra om at pga fly kunne jeg ikke komme til hotellet før på søndag. Likevel måtte jeg betale for fredag og lørdag og likevel fikk jeg ikke rommet da jeg kom søndag kl 11 True ikke jeg kommer til åbruke hotell siden deres mere fritz

Moderne hyggelig hotel. Vi valgte det da det ligger rett ved Old Trafford, 5-10 min. å gå. Greit å kjøre til hotellet, grei parkering. Vi brukte banen til sentrum, 2 min. til banen som gikk veldig ofte. Praktisk for oss. God frokost, hyggelig atmosfære. Det er andre gangen vi besøker hotellet og vi er like fornøyde.

Dette svarte ikke til forventningene. En dobbeltseng som var kort og smal med en dobbeldyne som må deles og springfjærer inn i ryggen ødela. En elendig bar med unge uvitende ansatte som serverer Brandy i long-drink glass er heller intet pluss. Eneste positive var at hotellet ligger 5 min gange fra Old Trafford

For lytt mellom rommene. Kunne høre folk i andre rom som var på toalettet eller snakket sammen på naborom. Ble imponert over at housekeeping ble foretatt sent på ettermiddagen. Hver eneste dag var rommet rent og sengene oppredd! Meget god beliggenhet!

Et moderne hotell veldig nært til Old Trafford. Betjeningen var veldig imøtekommende og hjelpsomme. Koselige og romslige rom, litt gamle bad. Flott bakhage. Litt støy fra veien hvis du har rom ut mot den.

Allerede når vi ankom hotellet fikk vi inntrykk av at dette var et god valg. Resepsjonisten var imøtekommnde og forklarte blidt hva som var inkl. og ikke før vi fikk romnøkkelen. Rommet var i fin stand, rent og pent bad. Bar/resturant hadde hyggelig og imøtekommende betjening og maten var god.

super service som hjalp til med alle henvendelsene vi hadde. fint rom med en behagelig seng og fin utsikt.

Veldig fornøyd med hotellet, perfekt beliggenhet i forhold til Old Trafford.

This hotel was great, dont need to stay in city centre with this hotel with a tram stop across road and a free car park. Very convenient and a lovely walk for Salford Quays. The Breakfast was lovely and we got a bargain as it was free until end of february! The staff were very helpful and kind.

When i booked a aroom in this hotel i was under the impresion that it is 4 stars hotel( as advertised). In my opinnion this hotel should be 2 star or low range 3 star hotel. The services and the building and the furnitures are not a 4 star standard, they all outdated. This hotel diffinitly crying for upgrading and moderanisation. Another annoying thing, […] the rooms are not well insulated, not a sound prove. For example, easily you could hear the sneeze or the toilet flush from next room. Set in the Salford Quays area within ten minutes walk to Old Trafford and Fifteen Minute walk to the Salford Quays Outlet Centre. Ideal links by Tram to Manchester but plenty of places closer by for a quiet meal and sight see. Could not fault the hotel and the price was great

Only 2 mins walk to Old Trafford with free parking.

Lovely hotel reception,bar and brasserie and great location on the quays, but the rooms let it down they are very shabby and in desperate need of a refurb and the bathroom was also very dated, but clean enough - not 4* rooms. The only saving grace was the price we paid for dinner B&B and the downstairs area and service which is 4*. Bed was comfortable […] and room had a nice view over the water, better to look outside than inside. Would I use this hotel again? Yes, definately if the rooms are refurbed, possibly if I got a really good deal, but would rather not. Les mer

A very nice hotel and, for us, very well located. Great to have on-site parking. Attractive & well maintained. However, was woken up before 8am by housekeeping wanting to clean the room and the bed sagged towards the centre very badly. Otherwise very good.

I think the hotel was overpriced at the time of my booking, i could hear the use of the bathroom in the room above, & there were cobwebs on the ceiling. Haveing said that, the staff were very friendly & the location of the hotel was excellent.

The hotel was ideal for a cheap nice hotel just ourside of the city. The metro was outside and wihtin 10 mins we were in the city centre very good.

Hotel comfortable we didn`t think it was 4*. Breakfast good.Had evening meal there (Carvery) thought it was expensive for a Carvery. We stayed there to go to a show at The Lowery so was very covenient and also easy to get to and to catch the tram int city centre

Reasonably comfortable - excellent check in but bar staff not the most polite no conversation and no politeness in dealing with public, however they were not rude Room comfortable and clean. Convenient for business

Very close and convenient for Old Trafford. The hotel's decor was old fashioned but it was clean. Staff weren't overly helpful or friendly, it felt like they were just doing the minimum needed to get by. Overall the stay was fine for what we needed but I wouldn't want to stay for longer than 1 night.

They gentleman on reception was more than helpful, the room was perfect.

Staff were helpful enough and good parking. Easy access to Lowry Outlet Mall and Gallery and just 10 minutes into the City Centre. Hotel rooms are looking grubby and dated but bed was comfortable.

We stayed at the Copthorne in July for one night as we had tickets to see and England cricket game at Old Trafford. The hotel was very conveniently located and the staff were very helpful and friendly. Free parking is always an added bonus! We found the room, particularly the bathroom to be clean but very dated. The rooms are really in need of updating […] and refurbishment. Breakfast was ok- the food was warm and there was a variety. Tea and coffee had to be ordered by the cup which was inconvenient. The bar staff were very helpful and the bar was quite busy and a nice place to relax. Les mer

Excellent Location My Husband and I had booked to see a show at The Lowry 8th April so instead of driving home after we decided to make a night of it and pre-booked into the Copthorne.When we first arrived we was greeted by a very warm and friendly receptionist Kirk, he explained they were having a few problems with the computers and was most apologetic. […] The Room we were finally allocated was very comfy, very clean and with a nice view over the quays. I'd stayed at The Copthorne many,many years ago on a buisness trip and remembered it as being quite plush I was then a little concerned at some of the "Horror Reviews I'd read prior to this visit, but need not have been. We had an Excellent stay, all the staff were very friendly and welcoming. I would reccommend it to anyone! Dont be put off by what you read "Try It" and make up your own minds. Les mer

This Hotel is run down but a new Manager has just got settled in and is fully aware of the very poor state of the staff and the property. We were very disappointed in the old fashionned rooms which are in sore need of redecoration. The staff have a lackadaisical attitude bordering on total disiniterest with a few notable exceptions, particularly the […] assistant manager lady,Kate. The hotel is not well signposted from the tram stop (Exchange Quay) but if you do a bit of research easy enough to find and really is a two minute walk. The hotel is about 15-20 mins from centre by Tram. The room I had on third floor is in need of refurbishment as is other parts. The carpets were sstained and the bathroom light only worked on an intermittent […] basis. Breakfast was good and staff attentive. Hotel is fine for one or two night business trip. I do usually write reviews but felt I had to after staying at this hotel. On arrival we were told our breakfast was not included because the offer had ended, although I had this checked before arrival. Eventually they agreed to the breakfast for the 2 rooms. The rooms are not up to the 4 stars this hotel has been given after comparing my visits to other […] 4* hotels. The room we had been allocated to was an easy access room and it was pretty hideous I would not have given it more then a 2 star rating! The bed was banana shaped (sagging in the middle) and the furniture very tired looking. The bathroom looked awful.If you stay at this hotel do not expect a 4* service or room! Les mer

my partner and i stayed at the copthorn manchester on the 10-2-11 we arrived early in the morning on arrivel at 9am in the morning our room was not ready for us as check in is not till 2pm the staff were very helpful and managed to get us a room ready for 10am the room was very clean and comfortable,all u want after a early morning flight the staff […] there were very polite and helpful, i would recomend it to anyone who wants to stay there who wants to be clos to old traford football ground as we did ,it was just a 10 minute walk away,great for what we wanted, i would stay there again with no problems Les mer

Good position on the edge of Salford Quays and near to the Lowry Outlet and its shops and restaurants. Not sure how it qualified for 4 stars as the facilities were very limited. No pool/gym etc. Staff were friendly enough, but not very efficient and breakfast buffet was just about gone 20 minutes before closing time.

Stayed here a few years ago, and since then, hotel has gone downhill and is looking very tired. Rooms are getting tasty, and its not worthy of the 4 stars on a plaque outside. It's a small thing, but the hot tap only just jutting out over the sink in the bathrooms mean you can only get your fingernail under it! Breakfast was very poor, (but half price […] if you pre-book at reception as opposed to walking into the restaurant!) tea and coffee were lukewarm, and the food was nothing special. Tired furnishings,saggy bed and a room which smelled of air freshener - never a good sign. Shower was scorchingly hot. I like a hot shower, but this was excessive. As others mentioned, £12 charge for internet use. No thank you. Breakfast was overpriced, so we declined that too. On the plus side, it's in a good location, and has free parking.

Although clean and well situated I would not consider this a 4* hotel. The furniture was extremely battered. The bed was very small [4ft]. Not at all what you would expect from a 4* hotel. The hotel is of a reasonable standard. I was in a room directly above the bar and kitchens. The music and an anoying squeeky door would have been intolerable had I not been so tired as to be able to ignore it. I felt the lack of wireless in the room a bit of a pain as the connection lead is too short and the £20 charge for internet access for anything […] over 1 hour is steep. The breakfast chef let me diown by starting to do my fried eggs then disappeared allowing them to go hard. By the time he returned, I had eaten the rest and had to forego them. Stayed for two nights on business. Queue for check in after a long drive and flight was not the best 'first impression' but things did improve. Room was lovely and comfortable with a nice view. We didn't have dinner in the hotel - went into town instead but breakfast was a bit chaotic. Tables weren't being reset so we were poaching items from other […] tables, chef cooking breakfast seemed to be under pressure running in and out trying to keep the buffet food topped up. We have stayed in other hotels where internet connection is free in rooms, in our opinion the charge for internet connection at this hotel is excessive. Also, whilst you expect mini bar prices to be on the pricey side, again, this is higher than some other places we have stayed. This hotel represents good value for money and has always maintained a friendly welcome and service throughout the 15 years I have used it. There is ample car parking and good food and it is convenient for Manchester city centre just 10 minutes away, it is also close to various local attractions.

there was a mix up as far as i gathered my room was given to someone else and then the room i got stank of fish which was very unpleasant for me and especially my pregnant girlfriend whom hates the smell of fish also there is a metal parking plate outside that can be raised to stop entry to hotel parking any vehicle going over this made a loud clunk […] and as i had to sleep with window open because of smell i did not get much sleep Les mer

we had an excellent 2 night stay here in september. 10 minutes walk to old trafford cricket ground. amazing to leave a music concert,walk back to the hotel and be drinking coffee(with a tot) outside the hotel at midnight by the waters edge. good hot plentyful breakfast with nice views to set you up for the days city trekking.
