Manila Hotel - Manila

I visit Manila regularly and have stayed in other "high end" hotels. Nothing compares with the Manila Hotel's overall ambience, accommodating & professional staff, room quality and dining experience (particularly the buffet). The Manila Hotel has never failed to satisfy my business travel accommodation requirements.

From check in through the entire stay and check out, the staff were friendly, accommodating & professional. We've always enjoyed staying here at The Manila Hotel during visits to the Philippines. Don't miss the dinner buffet -- the best in Manila!

Over the years have stayed at several hotels in Manila and this was the best by a long way. The staff were pleasant and accommodating and the food in all the restaurants was first class. It is a pity that the Manilya Room is no longer available to hotel guests as it is now used as a function room. The only negative was that there was no book in the […] room that detailed hotel services etc. that one normally finds in any hotel. Les mer

We stayed in October my Niece had her wedding here and we were not disappointed. The staffs are extremely charming and polite and the setting is just perfect. The lobby is simply the most restful place to just sit and while away from the stresses of modern life whilst listening to the Orchestra playing and the girls on Violin are delightful. But rooms above lobby area are not as big or modern as the new section so ask for the new part when booking the food is excellent all through with a good choice from the breakfast and dinner buffets. The elegant and historic Manila Hotel in Manila, Philippines, truly lived up to its name. We were given a tour of its archives and the famous General Douglas McArthur Suite. Our tour guide was charming and obviously knew her history - what a treat! Beautifull building, relaxing ambiance, professional musicians, polite and attentive staff and food to die for

Manila Hotel still remains to be the Grand Dame of all hotels in the Philippines. She is such a precious jewel whose luster never fades. The service is excellent, the food is superb, and the rooms are very comfortable. I am very proud of her and would recommend it to our foreign friends. Manila Hotel certainly meets international standards.

Hotel Manila was an excellent choice for my wife and I. Every taxi driver without fail knew the hotel and it was walking distance to Manila Ocean Park. The hotel is old but it has been well maintained and much is being improved. My only grief with this hotel was the food staff service. It seemed like the waiters/waitresses were disorganized and the […] only way you got food service was to flag someone down. Aside from that, everyone was friendly & courteous. An added bonus to the hotel was our ability to leave our luggage after we checked out of the hotel. We had an 8pm flight so leaving our luggage to wander the mall for a few hours was a great help. The bang, bang noise from the wall was probabaly coming from the bass of the band playing in the first floor!!!

In my mind Manila hotel is not a business hotel, or what commonly is associated with the term. The hotel gives you a luery feeling of an era long gone. Food is good, service is great, the new swimming pool area outdoor is great and in my mind second best in Manila -Philippine plaza probably having the best outdoor area. Rooms are big, comfortable and […] good looking, view either towards the bay or Intramouros are both great and we try to altenate. I found rumors that the Manila Hotel had become a bit run down to be totally unfounded. It is spectacular! A renovation has nearly been completed and the room, lobby, pubs and restaurants look very good. Historic hotels like the Manila Hotel are gems in a sea of modern, glitzy, glass & steel monstrosities with no character or soul. This hotel is all that is advertised. I arrived early and my standard room wasn't ready yet, so they upgraded me to a deluxe room, which just meant that it was a little bigger, and the bathroom had a separate shower and bath, with a TV mounted in the wall by the bath tub. Some big functions occur, so sometimes the lobby and entrance can be crowded. Breakfast included was the only let down, for such a grand hotel, and the price you pay, lesser hotels include a better breakfast. This historical hotel has been visited in the past by notables. The security is very tight, where vehicles are checked before entering, and all guest submit their bags through Xray. The staff here is very professional. There are also musicians playing in the lobby. The architecture has a vintage feel to it. The rooms are very clean. In fact, they attend […] to it more than once a day. They come periodically to "redo" your room, bring you water, etc. The gym here is large with lots of brand new equipment. You can get a good workout with weights as well as cardio. The equipment is comparable with a full gym with lots of weights. If you are willing to pay the price, would recommend this place. There was a wedding and also a convention going on during our stay so the hotel is a setting for this kind of stuff. Les mer

레노베이션이 끝난뒤라 객실 상태가 매우 좋았습니다. 욕실이 깨끗하게 잘 되어 있었구요 로비가 넓어서 고급스러워 보여요 특히 아침식사 완전 좋아요

７月中旬に泊まりました。とにかく暑い毎日でしたがホテルの中にいる限り快適に過ごせました。ホテルの周りは緑あふれる公園で早朝の散歩は気持ちがいい、夜は噴水がライトアップされきれいでした。外から帰るとセキュリティゲートを通らないとロビーに入れません。安全で良いけど何度も出入りするときは、煩わしく思うかも。 朝食のバイキングはメニューも豊富で美味しかった。 夜はアラカルト料理を頼んだが、サーブされるのに時間がかかり、味のほうも朝食のほうがわたしの口に合っている。 早朝のチェックアウトでタクシーがつかまらず、空港までの道路は早朝なのに渋滞しており焦りました。フィリピンのタクシーマンも結構料金をボリます。ちなみにマニラホテルからアキノ空港まで１５００ペソだって！「おまえの車はロールスかベントレーか！」 […] 　気の弱い方は気をつけて楽しい旅行をしてくださいね。 Les mer

建物は若干古さを感じさせますが、ある程度メンテナンスが行き届いていることを感じました。 サービスの質も悪くないと思います。 朝食のビュッフェの味も良かったです。 但し、ホテル内の中華料理の味はいまいちでした。 以前はダイイヤモンドホテルを利用していましたが、こちらのほうが快適に過ごせたと思います。

Det er en oplevelse blot at sidde i den fantastiske lobby og betragte alt der sker. Her er bryllupper, statsbesøg, det er her man mødes til store begivenheder. Betjeningen er særklasse venlig og hjælpsom, uanset om det er fru Jensen eller Bill Klinton der er på besøg. Kun et minus: Hotellets nye ejer har igangsat ombygninger, der er en katastrofe […] for dette nationale monument. Herunder sløjfning af haven med springvand og smukke gamle træer, blot for at opsætte et udlejningstelt med plads til 3.000 mennesker. Hermed forsvandt udsigten til bugten fra den smukke restaurant!
