Paradise Harbour Club & Marina a Festiva Resort - Paradise Island

ypperlig for de som vil unngå sirkuset på det store hotellet på paradise island, og ikke har noe imot noen taxiturer for å komme til sentrum. Ca 10 min hver vei. Hotellet er naboen til golfbanen.

Very nice resort. No ice or food anywhere close by. The restaurant attached does not open until 4 and the food is expensive if you are traveling with children. The bicycles are great. The office staff leaves at 5 so if you need anything you are on your own. Beware of the shuttle, we were left in downtown. Beautiful location.

Atlantis is beautiful! My only complaints would have been that everything on site (actually on Paradise Island) is super expensive, and Atlantis is big, so you have to walk a ways to get everywhere. Other than that, it was great! ex.) a botte of sunscreen that costs $9 at Walmart is $27 in the Atlantis Sundries store... I kid you not.

We have stayed at Atlantis and several other very high priced hotels. Paradise Harbour was a beautiful hideaway for my husband and I. The rooms were very nice and we could walk to Atlantis and Marina Village. Incredible Value for the Product!

PHC is a very nice option if you plan to stay on Paradise Island. PI is expensive and there are few options for inexpensive meals (dominated by resorts). Columbus Tavern, the restaurant next to PHC, is about $30 per entree. But there's a mini-market on the way to Cabbage Beach (10-15 minute walk) that is good for small breakfast and lunch that will […] help save money. PHC also provides bikes for the day if you want to go further. Anthony's Grill (about 1 mile away) is a good choice for a nice, relatively inexpensive meal. Private balconies at PHC and quiet setting are very nice as is the pool - ring the bell for drink service from Columbus Tavern next door. The main drawback is that the resort-dominated area provides few inexpensive meal options, but I would definitely stay there again. Les mer

On the positive side, this hotel is located in a nice area. The staff, particularly Tcheka, is friendly and helpful. But, check-in is at 4 PM and check-out at 10 AM. There is no breakfast available in the hotel. We found this hotel to be way overpriced for what it offers. Great hotel with large balcony room facing the harbor, hotel was very private and quiet and had a nice pool with a hot tub. Hotel could use a soda machine and , or ice machine, I would love to return but next time would rent a scooter since the store and ferry are some distance from hotel. Fantastic hotel, staff was helpful, clean room.. area was very safe. really enjoyed my stay. internet was free. only downside was the restaurant beside it.. abit expensive for the food. other thn tht it was a very good hotel with a very good price. Walking distance to the Atlantis.

Bahamas and Paradise Island is definitely a place for millionaires - but you will only feel like one if you stay in one of the megaresorts, and don't step outside. Everything is private and everything is expensive. Wherever you decide to park your car, you will be threatened to be towed away - unless you are a customer, of course. Or expect to pay some […] ridiculously high parking fees. The western part of Paradise island is occupied by Atlantis resort (and thus no accessible for general public), the eastern part is a private golf club (which includes three beaches, again, for members only). This leaves us with the only public beach 10 min walk from the Paradise Harbour Club in the middle part of island. Unfortunately, to get there one must pass by some extremely bad smelling processing plant or factory - I have no ideal, what exactly it was, but it definitely didn't smell like paradise. The hotel itself is small and my room (two-bedroom suite) had a well equipped full size kitchen. From other positive things I'd mention free parking in garage and free Wi-Fi. The staff was welcoming and accommodating. Negatives - Wi-Fi signal was week and internet speed very low. There were tiny ants everywhere in room - and they liked our food very much. No elevator. And, as mentioned, something extremely bad smelling in neighborhood. Les mer

A best value on Paradise Island, with jacuzzi and swimming pool, and just a few feet from the marina and an excellent restaurant. Also not far from Atlantis, shops, and the historic Cloisters. We'll definitely stay there again.

Older hotel in nice resort area. Biggest issue was no thermostat in room, if too hot or cold had to call front desk. Service very slow, early check out time that was non-negotiable. Nice pool, beautiful view. Much more reasonable than surrounding hotels, but older hotel with fewer amenities.

This was an oasis away from the all inclusive resorts that dominate PI. Nothing wrong with them, but this place, about a mile walk from Atlantis, allows you to escape the crush when you want to. Staff were nice. The marine view was nice. Only bummer was construction on the final day. The attached restaurant, the Columbus, was OK, but if food, especially […] cheap food, is what you are looking for, go to Thailand. If however, you want to visit Nassau/PI and want to be able to escape the "all inclusive resort" vibe, and don't mind walking, it's a really nice choice. Les mer

I stayed in this hotel as I was flying in Friday night as I wanted a more inexpensive and quiet place to stay the first night before going to Atlantis the next day. This hotel is actually like efficiencies that are rented out. The bathroom had new granite counter tops, but my shower was really clogged. I felt like the place was clean, but it could have […] been better. The bad thing was that the floors are tile. When people were leaving at 4 am with their suitcases being dragged down the flights of stairs (no elevator) it woke me up as it was really loud and echoed. Also there is no room service or store nearby so if you want something to drink you either have to take a cab to get something or go to the restaurant nearby which is only open till 10 pm. FYI, they do not have bottled water. They do have mini fridges, but you must come prepared. There is a restaurant on site which actually was excellent. I had dinner there and was more impressed with this restaurant than the various restaurants I ate in Atlantis. However, for me this hotel was average. This hotel was nice and had a very nice pool with hammocks. It had bicycle rentals, not that nice of bikes, but still cool to ride around the island. It was walking distance to Atlantis. The hotel was wonderful, but one bad experience can taint the overall experience. The day of arrival was exhausting with travel. We were very hungry and tired. We ordered lunch from the pool bar & grill. Waited for almost an hour to have the waiter approach us to say he had not turned in the order to the kitchen. We were so hungry we continued to wait. […] Finally food. But you would believe that the meal at this point of poor service would be complimentary… No! We were offered 2 dishes of free fruit and 2 smoothies to make up for the indiscretion. And they were still charged a 15% gratuity for the waiter that is automatically charged to every check. Everything else at the hotel… Restaurant, Gift Shop, Front Desk, Bell Hops, Hotel and Room were Great! But why do I have to pay for something that was far less than adequate, that actually caused me to become ill… waiting for my food my blood sugar dropped and I ended up in bed for 4 hours before I was back up and around… and I still had to pay 15% gratuity. We enjoyed our stay and liked that it was all inclusive. The view was gorgeous. We enjoyed our breakfast everyday. It is a place that for the price would stay at again. This hotel is nicely maintained and the rooms are clean. They have a nice pool, but very few pool towels so plan accordingly. There is a restaurant on-site but pretty pricey as are all restaurants on Paradise Island. This hotel could have been the perfect backdrop for my romantic rendezvous with my boyfriend, but it wasn't. The hotel is tucked away in Paradise Island, quiet and serene, and sits on a marina. On arrival, I had to take the steps up to the 3rd fl. room (no elevator). In the hallway, I noticed there was water dripping on the floor from the A/C units […] coming from each room. The room itself was fine - definitely not a 4 star hotel quality, but ok enough for the rate we paid. The hotel staff is not the friendliest, and customer service is not their priority. Our room was not cleaned on our 3rd day there, probably because the maid did not want to have to return after we told her to return in about an hour (around noon) when we would be gone. The most unfriendly part was our final day, when there is a 10AM check-out. We wanted to do a late check-out at noon, but we were (what felt like) harrassed by the maid about checking out, then received 2 phone calls from the front desk insisting that we check-out in the next 10-15min. I probably would have complied if the hotel was mostly full that weekend, but it was not. The problem was not in the fact that it was time to check-out, it was in the way they were so rude about it. Our stay was in January 2011. View from balcony, the cleanliness and comfort of our room, hotel staff and next door Columbus Tavern were all amazing! The hotel is about a mile from Atlantis and half-mile from Cabbage Beach. Check-in was as expected. Room was very clean and comfortable. Pool and hot tub were immaculate. The distance (1/2 mile I guess) to Cabbage Beach was a little more than I had hoped but hotel staff provided a good deal of shuttle service via golf cart. DO NOT STAY HERE First of al I booked 2 rooms each was to have 2 queen beds with a separate sleeping area, upon checkin we were given 2 rooms at opposite ends of the hotel. We were then asked to take our luggage up 3 flights of stairs as there are NO elevators at this resort. When I said I could not do that due to bad knees the lady put me on the first […] floor right beside our party which she said she could not do when we checked in. Angrily, she threw here keys on her desk. Neither of our rooms we reserved had 2 queen size beds which I had reserved, one had one kingsize and the other had 2 twins with a loveseat in the corner. This in no way was 2 rooms each with queensize beds and a separate seating area. We were told the resort was full and no more changes could be made. THEN at 1am 4 men tried to break into both rooms, first one, then the other. With 4 ladies, 2 in each room, we were scared to death. By the way, no one was at the front desk to call. When we checked out in the morning, 3 people at the front desk listened to our story, looked at each other for quite some time, followed by silence, then one of them said "sorry" that was it. The only thing this establishment had going for it was it's location which is within walking distance to Atlantis. There is only one food option nearby and nothing as far as drinks, snacks, etc available. If I had not rented a vehicle I would have been stranded or walked more than most would care too. I am a U.S. Special Forces Veteran and have been […] in dangerous situations around the world, I did not feel secure here. There was a lot of evidence of doors, screens and windows being pried on my room and the locks were substandard at best with no security deadbolt. I could go on for hours about why not to stay here. I will summarize with this, it's surrounded by high end real estate, the view, the marina and the pool are all nice but the hotel is worse than a Motel 8 on 8 Mile Rd. in Detroit! Vacationers beware! Great comfortable hotel with great grounds and pool. Sadly we didn't find the carryout and Sub Shop right across the street until checkout the next morning.

The hotel is very clean and quiet. Best to stay here if you do not want to leave the island very much. Our room had a mini kitchen with a microwave and mini fridge. They have bikes that can be used for free and they have a shuttle that will drop you by the cruise ships downtown once per day and will pick you up. Only down side is the hotel is FAR from […] the airport so it will cost you by taxi 35 USD oneway plus it can take 1 hour with rush hour traffic in the morning Mon-Fri so give yourself extra time to get to the airport. Also harbour island is only connected to the mainland by a steep 1 mile long bridge so yes you can walk to Nassau proper but it is at least 8-9 km and so you are some what held hostage unless you pay for a taxi which gets really expensive fast the jitney's do not come on H.I. the prices at the mini market are outrageous. So pack your own microwave oatmeal. The restaurant that is there is good but very expensive. We did find on the island a outdoors bar Vinny's and it was cheap and they have veggie burgers and it was a 10 min walk on HI from this hotel. Les mer

Large rooms, quite clean, good value ... the restaurant across from hotel is quite good.

Stayed 4 nights and got 50% off!! I couldn't beat that deal in the Bahamas at the time. Those interested in shopping and going to the downtown area might be reluctant to stay here, because it is a $12 cab ride to and fro. However, the Hotel provides free bikes, and a shuttle that goes downtown to and fro once daily. The shuttle driver Peter was very […] friendly, and Philmore the maintenance manager is helpful as well. Michelle, the front desk manager, accommodated us in every way. This hotel is minutes away from one of the best beaches on the island, Cabbage Beach. We went on a Party cruise that took us to a private island for snorkeling and lunch. They picked us up right at the Hotel Harbor. Columbus Tavern, the on site restaurant is very good as well. If you are able to ride a bike, and be patient with hotel shuttles. Then this place is great for you. One last thing, avoid taking random taxi's. Find a couple good taxi's recommended by the hotel, and tell them to take you to Columbus Tavern, because PHC can be confused with Paradise island resort. Clean and comfortable, and a new parking garage made parking extremely convenient and free. Front desk only staffed from 8am-8pm, so probably good to call ahead if you are arriving late. I did not see any elevator, so had to schlep bags up 3 stories. But for the price, hard to complain. Plus, you never have to wait for stairs!

If you're accustomed to 'she-she' accommodations don't come here. But for the money you pay, the convenience of the marina, pool and restaurant you can't go wrong. The internet access was reliable but the printer, on my last day was an issue. Nonetheless, me and my mother had a wonderful time, the staff were kind, accommodating, helpful and funny. We […] got a free upgrade and weren't overcharged for anything. Yes, there is an ant problem but if you've ever been camping you know how this is. You are on an island. The hotel was right in front of the Marina, with a lovely patio area outside each room & the pool was very nice with a little waterfall. The Tavern which is literally steps away had amazing food & staff & is visited by a lot of locals, so it isn't as touristy. I would definitely stay here again. They provided towels, a shuttle to the beach & downtown, […] and had bikes you could check out for the day. Les mer

The staff were very friendly and tried to accomodate our requests --- although sometimes they seemed a bit too laid back! The main draw back that I had was that it was quite a ways to the nearest convienance stores (so when we had to buy bottles of water etc) we had to plan our trips to coincide with the twice daily shuttle service from the hotel .. […] this was kind of inconvienant. Olimme Bahamalla tammikuussa, jolloin oli hiljainen kausi meneillään. Hotelli on huoneistohotellityylinen ja sijaitsee satamassa, aivan meren rannalla. Hotellissa ei tarjoilla viikolla aamupalaa eikä lounasta. Viereinen ravintola aukeaa neljältä iltapäivällä, joten aamiaistarvikkeet piti hakea kaupasta Nassaun keskustasta. Uimarantaan oli mukava kävelymatka […] (pääsi toki golfkärrykyydilläkäin) ja ranta oli kaunis ja rauhallinen. Uima-allasalue kiva, eikä sielläkään ollut muita kuin me. Huone oli suuri ja parveke myöskin suuri sekä kalustettu ja kaunis näkymä merelle. Ainoana puutteena tuo palvelujen saatamattomuus. Vesipullon löytäminenkin lähialueelta oli vaikeaa ennen iltaa. Nassaun keskustaan toki pääsi taksikyydillä kohtuuhintaan. Les mer

Eigentlich war alles Zufriedenstellend. Es ist für die Bahamas sehr preiswert und deswegen sollte man nicht zuviel erwarten. Die Lage ist das grösste Problem. Es gibt 2-3 x täglich einen Shuttle zum Strand oder nach Down Town Nassau. Als einmal das Shuttle ausfiel bezahlte das Hotel das Taxi.

Huippu kiva hotelli. Ylitti odotukset. Todella halpa,mutta siisti ja turvallinen. Iso huone ja terassi. Jos ei ole liikuntarajoitusta niin kävelymatkan päässä Atlantis-hotellin palveluista (20min). Hotelli tarjosi kyydin rantaan ja Down Towniin pari kertaa päivässä. Rantaan vain 5min kävellen. Upea ranta,ei juurikaan turisteja (ainakaan 28.2-10.3 välisenä […] aikana) Menimme useiin kyydillä kaupunkiin ja kävelimme sieltä takaisin (45min). Ilmainen internet käytössä respassa. Palvelualtis ja ystävällinen henkilökunta. Siivooja ihan huippu:) Upea kokemus kaiken kaikkiaan:) Les mer
