Fairfield Inn by Marriott - Phoenix Airport - Phoenix

Everything was really okay except for breakfast. It was a total zoo. Not enough seating, very small dining area and the food was limited and sparse. It was almost impossible to make your way to the food counter let alone try to toast anything. We will not stay there again. Too many other choices.

The room was newly remodeled but the bathroom was not clean. Hair and "stuff" was in the corners. The bed and bedding was not the quality I have experienced in other Fairfield Hotels. The desk clerk and shuttle driver couldn't have been nicer and very helpful. The 24 hour shuttle was great for an early flight. Sunday breakfast does not start until 7:00A […] so did not eat. No wakeup call. The next morning we compained to two different employees at the front desk, and they both had a very cavalier attitude. Luckily we woke up in time to catch our flight.

place is undergoing renovations but it really needs to be bulldozed to the ground. The AC unit was so loud that when I turned it off I found it was masking the sound of equipment running in the next room. The bathroom door knob fell off in my hand. Our room was clean, pleasant, comfortable and for being near the airport very quiet. The staff was pleasant, friendly and extremely helpful in locating eateries and giving advice on time allowances to the airport. The continental breakfast was typical, but the coffee was fresh and the breakfast area was very clean and neat. Room was fine (106) with exception of bathtub which was badly repaired. Did not use. Was acceptable for one night, but longer stay would have meant a room change. Walter at desk was extremely helpful with map printouts, and other matters. Staff in general great. Our bathroom was not.

Overall quality was just disappointing - I expected better from Marriott. Our stay did not compare well with another stay a week later at a competing chain hotel.

We checked in at night and had a comfortable room that was quiet and clean. The only thing missing was a component in the coffee maker which was sorely missed - we had a very early flight and the caffeine could have helped! soon after we checked in the front desk called our room and asked if everything was ok which was impressive, however, the garbage can was not emptied by maid staff which was not so impressive .. he told us to leave the can outside the room and they would empty it, which they never did. Bed was most comfortable bed I ever had at a hotel..staff was courteous […] and told us about nearby restaurants, stores, etc...we left early in the morning so no idea how the breakfast was. Place was ok, a little pricey. Great location just blocks from Arizona State and anywhere else you might be going. We stayed at a Comfort Inn on 51st st in Phoenix earlier in the trip and it was half the cost and twice as nice so you never know which is why reviews are so great Les mer

Comfortable, clean, easy access to airport, staff very helpful. Pool was emptied and out of service due to maintenance.

A young man named Jake made our stay feel like going home after 8 days out on the road. He was kind, soft spoken and knowledgable about the surroundings. He reminded us to get a wake up call and sign up for the shuttle. He should receive a commendation for his great customer service to tired travelers.

We stayed at this Fairfield so we could catch an early flight out of Phoenix. It was very clean; and the bed was very comfortable. The shuttle to the airport was efficient and that was all we needed!

-fast, friendly customer service -used the shuttle service to-and-from the airport, very prompt :) -the clothing cabinet door was broken -blinds were broken -bathroom door was broken -bed was comfortable :) -view not all that great from the window -tv and internet worked great

I have stayed at alot of Marriotts, and Marriott Fairfield Inns and have always found Marriott hotels to be a name to trust because of the quality of their hotels. Not so with the Fairfield Marriott - Phoenix Airport. The hotel was not very attractive, no frills decore, completely not what I would expect from Marriott. The room however was clean, as […] was the Hotel, and sevice was good, but overall I was just left un-inpressed with the Hotel as a whole. I paid a Marriott price for a Motel 6 quality hotel. Loved the free shuttles to and from the airport. Clerks were wonderful and very helpful. We were sad that there weren't any microwaves in the rooms, but they allowed us to use the one downstairs in the late evening. Thank you.

Traveled to Phoenix on business. The hotel staff was very nice, recommended a great place to eat. I had reserved a king bed online, when I arrived, i ask for it to be changed to two queen beds on the 1st floor which they did without any problem. Paid for my stay through Expedia. There were no additional charges or hidden fees at check out. They accommodated […] us with a late check out. The coffee was hot and fresh. Very neat and clean place to spend the night. We were very happy with this hotel. We did arrive quite late (after midnight) and tired, but check in was smooth and fast. The clerk was very friendly and pleasant. Had saved rooms for us on the first floor, so we did not have to drag our luggage all over the place at that late hour. Very clean room, nice comfy bed and pillows at an excellent Expedia […] rate. The breakfast was especially nice- mini quiches, Jimmy Dean breakfast sandwiches, 2 or 3 types of yogurt, Fruit Naturals fruit cups and much more. Fairfields are predictable, comfortable, pretty inexpensive. This one is no exception, and is only 5 minutes from the airport.

My wife and I had to find a place in Phoenix to stay overnight when we arrived on May 14, 2010. I looked for something reasonable and close to the Sky Harbor International Airport. I found this hotel on the internet and as I am a Fairfield member, that I would give this a try. We arrived after a short 10 minute ride. There was parking available out […] front. Staff member working front desk was polite and had our reservation (which I had requested over the internet and knowing how sometimes things get messed up, I was afraid my rate / booking might have been misplaced), which was great. I had neglected to ask for a main floor room, as I have an injury which might have caused me some grief in walking up/down any stairs. They were able to accomodate my request. Room was clean and just as I had asked for. As we were a bit tired, we went out for a bite too eat and then went to bed. I asked for a wake up call as we had plans the next day, as well as we were checking out. The beds were awesome! Great sleep for both of us. Room was quiet and there was no noise that I can recall, but then again we had travelled all day long and were quite tired. No disruptions. Wake up call came as requested. They had a continental breakfast available. It was great!! A lot of variety of items, both hot and cold to choose from. Coffee was good. After breakfast, we gathered our things and checked out. NO problems, no additional costs. Just what I had booked!! Very clean premise, good staff, great bed! Les mer
