Changi Village Hotel - Singapore

Vi bodde tre netter på dette hotellet, i desember 2011. Hotellet ligger nær flyplassen og er derfor et godt valg dersom man trenger overnatting fra en dag til en annen, hvis man f.eks skal fly videre neste dag. Det er svært lite å se og gjøre i området, og det tar nesten en time med MRT (undergrunn) + buss fra Singapores shopping-sentrum (Orchid Road, […] Raffles etc) til hotellet. Hotellet i seg selv har god standard, med basseng, tre restauranter og god service. Dessverre har de valgt å benytte den hardeste madrasstypen, noe vi opplevde som negativt. Et helt greit hotell, men neste gang vi skal til Singapore blir det nok et hotell mer sentralt i byen. Les mer

Rommet var stort, stilig med den minimalistiske stilen. Alt var rent og pent. Nøt badekaret. Eneste å sette fingeren på var sengen som var hard å ligge på. Også air condition kunne ikke skrues ned, så det var litt kaldt på rommet.

Booked a twin beds room, but eventually offered a kingsize bed room. During the booking,it stated including breakfast, but in fact not for the room type. It was not a great concern to us as we left by 7:00, overall the hotel is good for a overnight stay.to an from airport by taxi, not try the shuttle bus service as half and hr schdule and not gaurantee. […] Not time to try the pool!!!!!!! Very nice hotel, but high price considering that breakfast and Internet was not included. "Out of the way" location, but at least they had free shuttle to and from the airport.

The service is very good and polite at the hotel. The location pretty close to airport ~10minutes away is perfect for using this hotel as stop point between the flights. Disappointing thing was the main pool was closed already at 6pm and the upper level was reserved for the wedding seremony, so no swimming after long flight. I enjoyed my stay. The staff was very frendly especially Kunter at the front desk. Would go back there again if I wanted to be near the airport and the mors rural side of Singapore

We cannot say enough about this hotel. Even though further from the city, we found the surroundings to be better than the noise of the city. The staff was extremely friendly and exceptionally helpful. The room was clean and the breakfast buffet was very very good. When we return to Singapore, we will definitely stay at this hotel.

I was agreeably surprised by the Changi Village hotel. It had contemporary restaurants, a very modern-lookingl lobby, and the reception staff was very helpful. I would have no hesitation in staying there again.

While this hotel is the second closest to the airport distance wise, there is only one road that you can take to get there and it is no less than 15minutes which we discovered through a 17sd taxi ride. The hotel does however have a free shuttle to and from the airport, on the hour and half hour respectively. Very helpful staff and child friendly. Clean and quiet rooms. Nice pool and great for a stop over to break up the flight between UK/Australia. We requested and cot for our toddler and it was set up ready for use when we arrived.

Lovely and clean hotel and staff very helpful. Good choice of food at breakfast buffet. Did take quite a time to register in on arrival even though I had pre booked two rooms and paid for them. The rooms were on different floors and I would have liked them to be next to each other. Overall though liked the hotel.

This hotel is pleasant enough for an overnight stay near the airport, however, I would not recommend it as a base for a stay in Singapore. The neighborhood is certainly not up scale and the hotel itself is looking and feeling a bit rough at the edges. Not unpleasant, but not a value price point either. Although the hotel seemed attractive, there is no way to overlook the fact that we had to settle for a smoking room when we had requested non-smoking. The staff upgraded us to a suite which had a comfortable bed, and a great shower, however after traveling from the USA for 20+ hours we felt like we were sleeping in an ashtray. Just NOT acceptable.

This is a good place to stop if you are needing an overnight near to Changi airport. Despite proximity to airport, there is no plane noise and the location is very nice by the Johore Strait. Away from the urban bustle of Singapore and overlooking Malaysia, this is more of an 'island' location than the 'city' that is Singapore.

This hotel is almost a destination itself. Really cool design on the hotel and lots of space for leisure. Really good gym and pool! (the spa wasn't open) and nice restaurant / bar. A good place to stay when arriving to / leaving Singapore. I only stayed one night but had an pleasant stay. We had a big deluxe room that was amazing, would have loved […] to spend more time in the hotel and enjoy the gym and pool. The room was really spacious and a big comfy bed. The restaurant and bar are a bit expensive - but just down the streets there are lots of local restaurants. They like to charge you for almost everything on this hotel so keep in mind what you prepaid etc. The breakfast was big and really nice, we booked it on the day of arrival so it was cheaper. Wifi should be included for free - to charge for that is a bit ridiculous. It's about 15-25 min from airport - depending on traffic so it is probably worth waiting for the free shuttle once every hour, rather than pay alot for a taxi. The hotel is nice for a airport hotel but it's not the place to stay if you want to go to the city and back etc. Les mer

I found this to be a very pleasant stay with a comfortable room. It is close to several outdoor restaurants that serve truly delicious food.

Excellent hotel, staff very helpful, ideal stopover if you want a quiet rest, good food in local restaurants nearby.

Its like a cheat for me, whne i book through this side , they mentioned there will be free wifi and complimentary breakfast but all not true . When i check in they asking me to pay for breakfast and wifi. The toilet shower has leaking they never repair it .

Away from busy city, close to airport, 2minute walk to a 24hr food court name all the food u want its there.we loved our stay in this hotel.

I booked this place because other reviews had mentioned an airport shuttle, but there was no information in the hotels.com email confirmation About how/ where/ when to find it. That would help make this hotel a better deal.

OK PLACE BUT THE PHOTOS MAKE IT LOOK MUCH NICER, REALLY WASNT THAT FLASH AT ALL FOR A 4 STAR AND THE BREAKFASTS ETC WERE GENERALLY COLD AND POOR. WE ASKED FOR SPECIFICS AS IT WAS OUR WEDDING ANIVERSARY AND NONE OF THESE REQUESTS WERE EVEN ACKNOWLEDGED, LET ALONE LL THE SUPPOSSED INCLUSIONS - NEVER SAW ANY OF IT.

Qued in the looby quite a while for check in- then just handed the key. So que a lot of embarassing walking around trying to figure out where I was suppossed to go. Found the room and it stank of cigaretts and booze. Then in the morning their shuttle service wasn't up and running in time for my flight and neither wass the litchen. It is quite a nice location as it is near to jetty n yhr beach. Good food too. Hotel is alright, but was a little upset that they didn't have the double bed thou we made advanced reservations.

Had a brief stopover in Singapore for a night and I felt that Changi Village Hotel was definitely the right choice. They conveniently provide free hourly shuttles to and from the airport and these rides take only 15 minutes. Was pleasantly surprised by the big, clean room and nice ammenities although I had only the view of the back of the hotel with […] foliage. For the amount I paid in euroes, I had expected to at least have a seaview. I noticed that they had nice pools on the ground floor and also on their rooftop but my stay was too short to enjoy them. Overall very friendly staff although I had trouble getting a cab at 8pm to go for dinner outside the hotel. There was nobody manning the concierge and the reception counters had long queues, but this is not their fault, it was probably just bad timing. Les mer

Very helpful and friendly staff. We upgraded to an executive room, which had access to an executive lounge, with full breakfast and happy hour with good hearty appetizers. Free shuttle to airport. Not too convenient to downtown.

Pretty please with the stay. Quiet and less traffic environment. Don't really felt the 'rushing' effect. My stay could have been made better if the air-conditioning can be improved. Took couple of hours to cool the room.

We selected this hotel because of its proximity to Chamgi airport and the free shuttle as we were staying only 1 night in transit. the hotel was perfectly OK for this purpose and we enjoyed the upgrade package we purchased which included 2 hrs of drinks and nibbles in the executive lounge. Very specious room; clean and modern; short walk to block of cheap restaurants; shuttle transport from airport. No porters to carry luggage but suits me as I have no change to tip them.

A great hotel if you need to be close to airport and expo. The Changi Village parks are in walking distance, and expo and airport are just minutes away with the taxi. If you want to see the downtown area, though, the hotel is a little bit off ... but that makes it also quiet. The pool on top is a must see (or better: mus swim) experience.

This first class hotel is situated in an 'out of the way' and rustic part of Singapore. Great to be able to just drop down and sample the local cuisines. At the same time I thought the executative lounge was a cut-above others that I have been to (especially in the US) and the staff there were particularly helpful and friendly.

Modern, comfortable and pleasant. I wish they had wireless Internet, though. No way to connect with iPad.
