The Queens - QHotels - Leeds

I stayed just for a night and chose the hotel because of its location right next to the train station. The room was very spacious with an average bed and lounge area. The hotel itself was a bit worn but totally ok. Breakfast was a little less than average and quite expensive.

Our stay was very comfortable and olde world charm. Staff there were great and very helpful.

A very good hotel located in the centre of Leeds close to the Railway station and most of the city centre night spots. The hotel itself is well turned out in an "Art Nueveau" style with lots of polished brass and 1930s style light fittings. When we went the Queen's grill was closed for some reason so we ate in the bar area which had exactly the same […] menue and had an area set aside for diners. The room was very clean and well finished with a great view over the decorated and lit Xmas tree in City Square and the old Post Office building. Reception staff were efficient and friendly. Room was clean and comfortable. Housekeeping forgot our request for sewing kit and I had to go and find one at reception. Housekeeping practically battered down the door at 8.00 a.m. shouting "housekeeping!" very loudly and waking us.

The hotel is too bad, no heat, wind came to the room and made loud sound

A gorgeous hotel, excellent food and great staff. would highly recommend a stay here.

great location and great hotel ,breakfast was great . i love this hotel from the moment you go through the swing doors to reception it engulfs you. staff excellent and i got a great deal paying nearly 30 pounds less on the room rate . will be back !!!!

Room, location, staff all perfect, loved every minute of stay and it lived up to expectations!

The hotel is advertised as a 4 star hotel but the food in both the restaurant and the in-room service was attrocious. The pasta carbonara, was basically barely cooked pasta in fat and butter with some sandwich ham. The breakfast wasn't much better. Furthermore, the sink in the bathroom looked clean but when I used it, it was blocked and bits of sick […] started to float up to the surface. The stench was horrible so I asked for new room and the hotel immediately upgraded me to a suite, which was very nice of them but the damage had been done. I ended up moving to the marriot instead. Hotel very clean,staff excellent.parking great close to all attractions and great value for money.

I booked this room as I was having a new bathroom fitted and wanted somewhere to crash. For the price I wasn't expecting too much however when I opened the room door I was shocked! The room was huge with comfy beds, a good sized bathroom and an amazing view over the city. Would deffo stay here again.

Could see how this would have been quite a grand hotel in its heyday. still quite nice, comfortable etc.

Excellent car parking and retrieval service

Clean standard twin room....DIY concierge parking was fun!!...it did the job and the bar was clean too...

convenient location, excellent staff, good bar, next door to train station

just spent an absolutely fabulous 2 night stay, hotel room fantastic, clean , good decor, lovely bed and pillows - staff very helpful and genuine. Great stay will be repeating this well worth every penny.

The Queens hotel, provides an amazing return for your money. A quality, if only ever so slightly aged hotel, with a great service, good location and a touch of quality and a grandeur feel. The location fo the hotel is excellent, very handy for shopping and transport if you have not brought the car. But it also has drawbacks, mainly the amount of noise generated by drunken people making their way back to the station or just wandering around after anight out. We were woken severla times over a weekend , from 0300 to 0600 by chanting, singing […] or shouting from outside. The hotel cannot be balmed for this, but if you are noise sensitive ask if there are any rooms not facing the road! I stayed at the hotel for the Spring Charity Ball and had a great time. Arrived by train, although not offered assistance with luggage, and very convenient. The dinner at the ball could have been better - the food was not as good as it could have been and the service was not as good as it could have been - think they must have had lots of experience […] dealing with large numbers. But the atmosphere overall of the hotel was very good and I and my friends had a great time. Les mer

the hotel is at a great location, very clean, and the bed is extremely comfortable.. recommend it!

A very nice old English hotel , well insulated against traffic noise. The heating was not very good, otherwise quite satisfied with our stay

check was a mess, room was sparesly decorated, more like a hostel than a hotel. stained carpet,big crack in bathroom ceiling & the room was totally itchy & felt dirty-suffice to say we stayed all of 5 mins & checked out-complained to staff who told me it wasnt their fault the room wasnt up to my standard!! its supposed to be 4 star. if your thinking […] of going dont!! crowne plaza much cleaner & nicer & cheaper!!! excellent location by the railway station,centrally located for musems,shops'nightlife.food was very good and service could not be faulted.will definately going back to this hotel.

Public facing areas all very modern and high spec - Breakfact was great and service and friendliness of staff was excellent. Room was outdated with minimal refurbishments occuring over the last 10 years - i will look for alternatives unti lthe y do a refurb on all the rooms

A great hotel in the centre of Leeds. Art Deco styling was a great touch and a change from the normal chain hotels. All staff were extrenely helpful, friendly and polite. Would highly recommend to all.

Rooms here are nice, check in went smoothly, and the location is good - BUT - the noise from outside and within the hotel is unbearable. I am not usually a stickler for noise and can sleep easily. However, from my room on the fourth floor, I was able to hear not only bass boom but also the words of the songs the DJ was playing on the ground level. Also, […] the only designated smoking area is in front steps of the hotel - so with every entrance and exit, smoke is being exhaled in your face. During my stay the restaurant was booked out for a private party and the concierge was of little assistance (unable to obtain a table for one anywhere within walking distance) - so I was directed to a makeshift restaurant in the hotel - a few tables set up in a shabby and windowless meeting room. More? I had arranged for two wake up calls and neither came. Hence, I was late to the Airport. 100% NOT recommended. This Hotel is Crap! Les mer

fantastic place to stay right next door to trian station and a short walk from the many great shops.staff were very friendly and helpful our room was directly opposite the lifts but we heard nothing!! very quiet in the rooms will definately stay here again. brilliant value too

This is the third time I have stayed there in the last two months, and I was very impressed, especially with the helpful and friendly service. It is also such a convenient location, adjacent to the station.

Great location and good service.

You couldn't ask for a better hotel right, bang next to the station. I was expecting a 'posh Travelodge', and was delighted to be staying in a truly lovely hotel that has everything you should need for a great stay in Leeds. The service was great and the rooms, although small, were very clean. Would definitely recommend for a city break.

Good location in the city next to the railway station, staff were friendly and the hotel and room was clean. Our room was right next to the lift shaft and therfore it was really noisy all night and I didn't have a good nights sleep. I'd expect a room away from the lift to be ok, though when booking through hotels.com just be aware that they can't […] guarantee your requested room - I booked a room with two twin beds and ended up in a double. Nice stylish hotel in perfect location. Competent and friendly staff. Beautiful art deco rooms and communal areas. Minor faults in my room (one light not working, less than perfect shower and flush) that could do with improving. Very good restaurant with good waitering.

I stayed here for one night on the 1st of oct 2009 this hotel was fantastic we had a very relaxing time the staff were all very friendly and u was made to feel very welcome the check in staff also let us in our room at 10.30 as checkin isnt till 2pm and we paid a further fee to stay till 3pm on day of leaving the rooms are so pretty and the bed oh my […] gosh the bed was amazing what a fantastic nights sleep we had infact the hotel was so wonderful we have booked for a 2 night stay this time in end of oct.... Excellent value, very nice place, and conveniently located in the heart of the city and within walking distance of most areas of interest. Being right next door to the train station is a tremendous advantage too.

Excellent service from the moment I arrived after a confusing trip round the Leeds 'loop'. Car taken away and I was checked in immediately. Room was spacious but rather dark and dreary very dirty net curtains at window. It did have everything that you would need on first glance. Later though when I came back in the evening the TV refused to work. […]  A call to reception was quickly acted on and the problem resolved. After having a bath the plug stuck and as it was late I did not bother to call to have it fixed so no shower in the morning! Breakfast was quick and check out good. Very much a business hotel and would not recommend it for a leisure stay. Les mer

Very impressed, the hotel was clean, it had lots of character and the staff were helpful and polite. The room was bright and had been recently modernised to a high standard. My only small niggle was no free water in the room, it had some in the mini bar but at extra cost.
