rent og pent rom, virket ganske nytt. Hotellet ligger veldig nærme hjertet av byen. 5min gange.

Hyggelige folk i resepsjonen.

Alt i trivelig. victoriansk stil.

"Flott hotel i Dublin!"
"The Shelbourne hotel"

"The Shelbourne - stilig og smakfullt"

"One start too many?"
Great hotel, but lack that little extra. Such us, prooper fitness room, sitting place/space in the room and coffee/tea. Breakfast could be more extenisve and value for money.
"Shelbourne - Lovely Old World Spot"
`The Shelbourne is a terrific spot - location here is everything. Lovely food for breakfast. Lunch I found on my many stays there to be really poor - very much like a three star hotel - restuarant itself in terms of decor is nice but food is very much out of date - poor starters ( an incredibly poor 'baby gem' salad is one to avoid), huge mains with […] boiled tasteless veg so I'd recommend either just B and B or afternoon tea which is lovely. The location is wonderful. Rooms are beautiful, staff very friendly except for one woman who answers the phone in the morning time who has an unfortunate, gruff manner. The bars are buzzing at night. One drawback is that there isn't a resident's lounge. Overall though, I think it's one of the nicest spots in Dublin mainly owing to the proximity to Grafton St/ Stephen's green and the old-fashioned polite service. Les mer
"Shelbourne Hotel Dublin Ireland."
It is worth to pay the difference in price to stay at a room facing the Saint Stephen's green; it makes a big difference; and that is why my stay was so pleasant. The hotel restaurant, bar and tea lounge are beautifull.

Great hotel, but why try to squeeze extra money out of people by charging for internet. Who does that anymore?

"The Shelbourne - right in the heart of Dublin"
We had one superb night stay in the Shelbourne recently. We live in Dublin but wanted to have a little celebration and stay in town just the two of us. Right from the moment we walked to the door we felt welcome, the service was what you would expect from a 5 star hotel but with an effortlessness and friendliness that made it even more pleasant. Our […] room was a good size and impeccably fitted out. The common areas are luxurious with the added benefit of the historical detail which have been preserved and enhanced by the recent restoration and the breakfast is something we'll remember for a while! Together with the superb location right on Stephen's Green I couldn't imagine a better place to stay in Dublin. Les mer

"Hotel "Snob" and Highly Reccommend"
We stayed the first two nights at the Four Season Dublin hotel and the last two nights at The Shelbourne Dublin. I loved the Shelbourne! It was not only the BEST location in all of the city, it had the best atmosphere, restaurants and amazing afternoon tea that was like being in a movie! The bar and restaurant had incredible food, service and was the […] "Hip" spot on a Friday or Saturday night. You will not be disappointed. Les mer
"The Shelbourne Hotel Dublin"
I'm from Dublin so it was a bit like being a tourist in my own town and all the better for that. The Shelbourne is long associated with old-fashioned elegance and good service. In fact it exceeds expectations. My husband told them it was a special occasion and we were giving an upgrade to a lovely suite. The room was beautifully furnished and had a […] certain character sadly missing from most modern hotels; in fact if was so comfortable it was often difficult to leave. Members of the staff from reception to bell boy were all friendly and helpful. And of course the location is bang in the middle of Dublin facing Stephen's Green and a short walk to galleries, shops, restaurants etc. My only regret? I didn't stay for four nights instead of three. Les mer

Excellent hotel in a great location of the city. Will be back again!
"Fantastic"
Just spent a weekend at the Shelbourne, we were welcomed and looked after by a very attentive staff, our room was lovely and is only hotel bed I've slept in that is better than my own.The hotel is well positioned opposite St Stephens Green. Will be visiting again.
"Shelbourne Hotel Dublin"
Superb. Great Hotel. Valet parking cheaper than parking yourself nearby. Bar has to be one of the most atmospheric post-rugby venues in Dublin. Full Irish B'fast superb but grossly overpriced at E32pp.. Noisy at back of hotel if window opened but sound-proof when closed. Good value if booked early, in a lovely part of Dublin, St Stephens Green. No leisure […] ctr but didn't have time for same anyway. Les mer

Another great stay in the Shelborne, love this hotel and area. We weren't happy with our room but this didn't cause any problems and the staff were understanding and helpful in making a change. One recommendation I'd make to the staff is they check their system for previous stays, we've stayed 3 times in the last 12 months, booking with hotels.com and […] they don't seem to keep a record of this. Great breakfast as always! We'll be back soon. Les mer
Reception, quality of service and friendlyness were great. Had a most enjoyable stay and meeting.
"Shelborne hotel ( we visited 17th - 19th June )"
The shelborne Yes it's classy , yes it's a five star renaissance hotel yes it's in the best location for the best in shopping and pubs , yes the food and drink are quite subline but NOT any more expensive than the local pubs and restaurants. Yes the bathrooms and bedroom are luxurious and plush and very comfortable , yes the fittings and furnishings […] elsewhere in the hotel are all classic pieces but they have been looked after with great care and still look fabulous .The hotel is all of these things and more but what my lovely wife and i will remember most is the lovely warm feeling you get when you walk through the revolving doors, it's like walking into ya grans house , you just know you're going to get a lovely heart warming greeting.we can't wait to return .Well done to everyone involved in the hotel from the fantastic breakfast banquet to last orders in the amazing bar 27 or the horseshoe bar.everyone does their job and does it well , you can tell straight away that all the staff have been well trained in all matters concerned with making everyones stay perfect and they certainly deliver .The hotel is certainly one of the best in Dublin but so are the staff , and they go a long way to making it what it is . Love Richie and Jan. Les mer
"Lovely time in Dublin"
This was our first visit to Dublin and with so many hotels to choose from, it was hard to make a decision. I'm SO happy we chose The Shelbourne - it was perfect. We had the pleasure to stay at The Shelbourne between 09/04 and12/04 and have to compliment the staff on their service and civility. "The Shelbourne-an elegant hotel and great location"
We stayed at the Shelbourne over a weekend with our two children (8 and 10). The hotel is elegant and charming and our room and beds were very comfortable. The hotel is located very close to Trinity College and the Temple Bar area and just across the street from St. Stephen's Green The breakfast was very good but would have been pricey had it not been […] included in our room rate. . We would highly recommend this hotel for couples traveling with or without children. Les mer

The entire stay was excellent. We arrived in the AM on an overnight flight and were able to access our room early (we had pre-requested, though it was not guaranteed) and the room was in a quiet section of the hotel (away from the main street), as we had requested. Very professional and friendly personnel. Food and drinks are not cheap, but very good […] quality. Stephens Green location is very convenient to Grafton Street and surrounding tourist areas. Les mer
"Shelbourne Hotel in Dublin, Ireland"
Check-in : Our room was ready at check-in and we received a room upgrade to a king suite. (Though this was probably because we were attending my sister's wedding reception at the hotel) Room: The room was very nice. The bathroom was really great, awesome tub for baths, rain shower head, marble tile floor, double sink vanity, make-up mirror. When you […] first walked into the hotel room there was a dressing area and you went around the corner to the bedroom area, nice and private. The bed was very inviting (beautiful pillows and linens) and comfortable, although it seemed a bit soft. There was a very nice large flat screen tv. We ended up extending our stay for another 4 nights instead of finding another hotel because we were so comfortable there. We got the included breakfast for the additional nights because the difference in price was nominal. Room service: We ordered room service for our breakfasts (an extra charge) and enjoyed the extra pampering. The room service was always on time and very polite, although they were occasionally out of breakfast items (never got my cranberry juice). I did look at the room service menu for other meals (when we were tired) but didn't order because of the limited menu. Restaurants/bars/lounge in hotel: There was a very nice bar downstairs (No. 27 I believe it was called) which made it an great meeting place for other people attending the wedding. We had dinner one night at No. 27. I would call the food average at best. Fairly disappointing for the caliber of the place. We didn't eat there again. Also downstairs was a "lounge" (Lord Mayors) where you could have tea in the afternoon or just have a quiet place to talk and have a drink. One of my only big problems in this hotel was the service in that lounge. There was always at the 1-2 servers working, but good luck getting any service. Cons: The wireless internet connection in the room is not complimentary, which was irritating considering the price of the room. The bed was a bit Les mer

"A 5 star Fawlty Towers experience"
Check in : 3.15 pm Enter room 386 - wet towel on bathroom floor which I moved into a corner and ignored . Only 1 wine cork sized bottle of shampoo and shower gel provided for 2 adults and 2 children . Nothing so far really bothered us much though . Went out for a few hours and returned to very strong damp smell from bathroom caused by the wet towel […] . Moved it outside door of room and informed receptionist as we headed down for dinner in the lord mayors lounge which was very enjoyable and tasted great . Returned to room 2 hours later to find towel still outside room . 9 pm bedtime for our 3 and 5 year olds . By 10.30 we were all asleep in the 2 tiny double beds which were only 4 foot wide . 4 foot 6 is a standard double but most hotels have Queen size 5 foot wide at least . At 11.45pm we were awoken by music blaring from the function room below us . A Neil Diamond impersonator was blasting out Sweet Caroline . I went out into the hallway to check if it was coming from an adjoining room but when I rang the concierge I was informed the noise was from the function room below but that he would ask for the base to be lowered . By 12.30 the DJ was pumping out 'Highway to Hell' and we were wondering if sleep would be seen again for the night . Our 3 year old was now dancing about the room to the music . It was finished by 1.30 but then a steady stream of merry guests were in fine form along the corridor outside our room . The following morning we went for a stroll in the beautiful St. Stephens green across from the hotel only to return to find our room key disabled at 11.30 ( check out is 12.00) So to check out . First I am told that I owe for 2 nights . I informed the receptionist that we only stayed for one night and that it was pre-paid . He then pressed a few buttons and said 'Oh that's right' I was not asked the customary ' was everything alright for you ? ' so as I was concluding paying for parking I volunteered the information that I felt that our roo Les mer

"Almost Perfect!"
In a city generally known for poor service and faux hospitality, The Shelbourne is a shining ray of hope! The staff here are exceptional - polite, well informed, and delightful - and certainly worthy of their 5-star rating. The hotel itself is classically opulent - common areas are ornately furnished and the floral decorations are creative and magnificent. […] Rooms are meticulously appointed - the beds comfortable, the towels cushy and the toiletries lovely. A few little drawbacks though: The fitness area is modest and spread over three non-adjoining hotel rooms, making a workout a bit awkward. And, there is no outside area for smokers - consequently smokers cluster on the very tiny porch at the front door - (no rules here as to how close to an entrance one can smoke) - which makes entering and exiting the hotel quite annoying as most times of the day someone is present to exhale smoke in your face. Hopefully enough non-smokers will find this as bothersome as we did and eventually the hotel will designate a smoking area away from non-smokers. Apart from those two little pitfalls - everything else was first-rate! And by all means, treat yourself to the afternoon tea - elegant and worth every penny! Highly Recommended! Les mer
"Shelbourne - beautiful hotel with great servic"
The staff were wonderful. I was staying with my parents, and after talking to us once the reception staff remembered our names. They could not have been more helpful. The bedroom was extremely comfortable, with a beautiful marble bathroom. Some of the public rooms downstairs are decorated rather darkly for my taste, but that's a minor quibble! It […] is perfectly situated for walking round the sites of Dublin, and when I booked the rates were extremely reasonable for a hotel of this quality. This can't last, so go soon! I loved this hotel and will be going back. Les mer
We stayed at the Shelbourne to celebrate our wedding - and even though it was a small celebration (just me, my husband and my stepdaughter), we were treated like royalty. Upon hearing that we were celebrating our wedding, not only did the woman at the front desk upgrade us to a suite (which was gorgeous), but the staff brought us strawberries and chocolate, […] and offered a champagne toast with our dinner. I simply can't say enough good things about the quality of both the hotel and its employees. We also spent many an hour in the Horseshoe Bar, resting after a day of sightseeing. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. My compliments to all the staff - I give the Shelbourne my highest recommendation. Les mer

"The Shelbourne - overpriced"
Great location - but hotel in no way lives up to its website (except in its prices - room service charges are unbelievable) which makes it appear far more grand than it really is. Lounge area is tired. Bar nice but constantly packed. Entrance foyer is small. Check-in is dark and miserable. Room had no view, uncomfortable lumpy beds..in no way a luxury […] hotel. Staff are vacant and unattentive. If you want somewhere where you can fall out onto the main attractions and are willing to pay their prices then ok - but there must be better hotels for the price.
