My boyfriend and I loved the hotel!! They had free drinks every night for 2 hrs and we loved that! The breakfast was awesome! Fresh omelets and everything you wanted! Only thing we didn't like was the hot tub was really hot!! Like really hot!!!! The pool was nice though and the kids were kicked out at 10:30 then swim was until 12! Loved every minute […] of it!! We like the Embassy Suits because of the extra's you get and the set up of the hotel. This weekend however was by far the worst time we have had. We had stayed the night before and things were fine and decided to bood again the next night. This was a big mistake. I did this the next morning and thought I was good to go so we left for the boys state […] basketball tournament on campus. When we got back at 7:00PM our room had not been cleaned and we needed a shower. Our room was not cleaned until 7:40PM after a call and going to front desk to get it done. Also front desk had just one person checking people in on a Friday night during that time and waited in line to try and speak to someone at front desk. Got to know some nice people in line however. On another note the Manger hour snacks ran out with some things and manager saw this twice and just left it that way??? Les mer

This hotel was beautiful. The room was very clean and comfortable and the staff was very nice. The free breakfast was very good and also the managers reception a nice touch. We also had free shuttle service to easton which was nice so we didn't have to fight for a parking space. The only negative thing was there were loads of kids. I myself have 4 kids, […] but this was an adult only weekend. They were everywhere, the pool looked like ants on an anthill. At 10:30 at night the pool is adult only until midnight, however by that time of night I was ready for pjs. Les mer

"noisy lobby"
Very beautiful hotel,wonderful breakfast, rooms were excellent, but walls are very thin I could here the neighbors going in and out of their rooms and people in da lobby very clearly. Maybe next time I will request a room on the top floor instead of the 2nd floor.

first off, i scored down on maintenance because it's under construction. workers were smoking right by the entrance which i found rude (or i assume they were workers as they appeared to be dressed to be working a construction job) it was a completely distracting listening to their drills and equipment while i was in a conference. i paid a pretty good […] amount to go to this course and i think the hotel should either not offer the conference rooms during construction or warn the companies paying to use them. i heard frequent foul language from the workers as well. our room shared a wall with the hallway they were working in. although this was seperate from my stay in an actual room: my room was clean, bed was ok (ok enough for one night), nice amount of space if you are spending a couple days on business. i had no issues with my room. the made-to-order breakfast is one of the better continental breakfasts i've seen. the only actual 'made to order' is the omelette but they have a pretty big spread so i will not complain! staff was beyond helpful and pleasant. i had left my lights on and needed a jump and the maintenance/security gentleman was in the parking lot and helping me in less than 5 minutes!! i was very impressed with the staff. AND i was worried of traveling alone as a female. this hotel is open with no dark hallways and even elevators have a glass siding open to the atriums. i felt very safe there! sorry this is so long but i know i like thorough reviews so i'm trying to cover all my bases! :) i was initially worried about the neighborhood turning off Cleveland Ave (by the beautifully illuminated strip club) but the hotel is tucked away in a large group of corporate buildings and no skeezy gas stations/housing nearby. i would definitely use this hotel again. We booked this hotel for one night with a 5 year old and a 3 year old who were thrilled about the pool with the waterfall. The rooms were spacious for the 4 of us--enough room for the kids to have fun moving from room to room. The breakfast was above average with a great selection for our family. Would tell everyone about the great stay.
"Embassy Suites Is Where Its At"
This was one of the best hotels I've stayed at. Although they were remodeling the lobby and it took awhile to check in. The service and amenities at this hotel were top notch. The room was extremely clean and had a separate bedroom that was closed off from the living area with its own huge HDTV. The living area had its own HDTV and a sofa, chair, and […] work desk with chair. There was a bar area in the room with a microwave, mini-fridge, and sink. The room was very comfortable and had everything you would need. This hotel had a manager's appreciation reception daily for guests from 5:30-7:30pm in which you got free snacks and beverages, including free alcoholic beverages. Our group probably drank $100 worth of free alcohol, which was great. The restaurant in the hotel had excellent food and really good prices. They had a special going on that you could get a pizza, about the size of a medium pizza from a national chain, and 2 liter for only $6. We ordered a bunch of room service while we were there and everything tasted great and the prices were very affordable. In some of the reviews I noticed that people were complaining about the noise, and kids running around. There were a ton of families with children while we were there and the lobby/reception area was bumping due to an OSU game on the TV's. Once we got back to our room, we could faintly hear the buzz while we were watching TV in the living area of the room, but once we went into the separate bedroom and closed the door, you could not hear a peep. I don't see how anyone could complain about this hotel. I would recommend this hotel to ANYBODY staying in the Columbus area. Whether you are traveling alone, on a romantic getaway, or with your children, you will not get better bang for your buck than this hotel. Les mer

I do not think this was the Hotels issue for Friday night was pleasant but as much as the dynamics of the hotel seem to have kids running everywhere. My wife and I have been to Disney and we felt like we were back in Disney without the characters. Noise, long lines at breakfast etc. The hotel was nice. Jesse
"Embassy Suites in Columbus - Bring your own water"
Overall, staying at Embassy Suites in northern Columbus was pleasant. It was near the highway and within 20 minutes of many attractions. The hotel staff was friendly and courteous. Two out of three times we had great service in the hotel restaurant. The third time was terrible service however. The water in the hotel is softened, so drinking it only […] makes you more thirsty. If you want refreshing water, then bring your own. The hotel was doing some remodeling / maintenance while we were there and shut down one bank of elevators Sunday morning while everyone was checking out. This caused a minor inconvenience while everyone was trying to get all of their luggage down the at the same time. There was a nice pool, that in warmer weather has a swim-through to an outdoor pool. However, the pool was closed down on our last day of stay to also undergo remodeling. The included cook-to-order breakfast was excellent with many choices and helped increase the affordability of our stay. Les mer
"A pleasant place to stay"
We are always happy when we can stay at this Embassy Suites. The staff is friendly, the rooms are clean, and the breakfast is varied and ample to our needs. It has a nice, if small pool, and a work out area that is clean and reasonably up to date. Very comfortable.
When we arrived the hotel was filled with kids running around unsupervised. A 2 year old was at the pool without an adult,. The door to the pool was not locked,. Our childen were not able to swim due to the large amount of people at this hotel. People were saying the had 10-12 people in their room. We usually love to stay an an embassy suites but this […] was not up to standards. We are going to have consider whether we would stay again at an embassy suites due to the conditions at this hotel. We stayed from 12-26-12/29/11. We went for our anniversary. Ashlee, at the front desk, sent us a bottle of champagne and chocolate covered strawberries. She also attached a very sweet note. After finding sitters for the 3 kids, we decided to stay in town and just get a room for the night. Sounded great to sleep in late! Well....at 7:26AM the jackhammer started in the room RIGHT ABOVE us! It sounded like they were coming through the ceiling. We called the front desk and within about 5 minutes it stopped, but we were already awake, our mini-vacation […] ruined so we got up and went home. All the staff said when we checked out was, sorry. "Great Christmas Season Getaway"
This hotel is conveniently located within a short driving distance of some great Columbus area Holiday attaraction such as Easton and Polaris for shopping and the Columbus Zoo Wildlights which are truly amazing. When you enter the atrium of the hotel you would think you had just spent a couple hundred bucks for your room but this was not the case. Convenient to the fairgrounds and the Quarter Horse Congress. Clean and spacious and a very good price through Hotels.com. Liked the door to the sleeping area to separate it from the sitting area.

Easy check in. Nice man behind the counter checking us in was very helpful. We stayed here due to the Quarter Horse Congress show and it was an easy commute. Breakfast was good and plentiful. Only down side was screaming kids next to us most of the night but that was the parent's fault not the hotel. Will surely stay here again next year!

My daughter booked a room to hold her two year old sons birthday party. He loves to swim and thought all the children would have a good time. She received approval for this party from the manager Michell with the condition that no more than 15 people in the room. She agreed - she didnt want any problems to spoil her sons party. Check in was fine but […] attitudes changed when we went downstairs to the pool. There were 7 children and 8 adults. At one point an employee came in and said, Who's watching these children?-I am sitting in plain view with my other daughter and three other adults. His attitude was rude. He then walked out and a few minutes later an older woman manager came in and looked around not saying a word acting like we were doing something wrong - and walked out. My daughter was upset and wanted me to talk to the manager to see what the problem was. I tried to but was not acknowledged while I waited and left in frustration. I work at the best fine-dining restaurant in Columbus and I know when someone is being inhospitable to the point of being rude. We ckecked in at 3pm and left around 9pm. I have stayed at Embassy Suites around the country about 50 times and have never had any problems. This was my second visit to the Westerville location and I will not return and I will not recommend this location. Les mer

The only issue I had was the pillows were too soft. Otherwise the hotel was very clean, staff very helpful and the buffet breakfast was tasty and plentiful. Will stay again.

the room and hotel was beautiful. my family did complain a little about the air conditioning not being cool enough, even though i turned the thermostat down to 64 degrees. the cocktail hour was wonderful as was the breakfast. the inside pool was closed for maintence. if i would have been aware of that, would never had stayed. staff was friendly. plenty […] of towels for the outdoor pool. pool stayed open later than expected. overall, i would say we had a great time!
