Skikkelig bra hotel med kjempebra service. Kort vei til sentrum (med bil) og masse muligheter. Maten i hotel er litt varierende men på et bra niveau.

Morsomt og annerledes hotell. Deilig uteområde med lite basseng og kafe. Alltid forfriskninger i resepsjonen.Vennlig ohg hjelpsom stab. Ligger svært nær The Grove.

De ansatte var vennlige, rommet stort og velutstyrt, men nabolaget var 'skummelt' - særlig for en som ikke hadde med bil og som i påvente av flyavgang måtte oppholde seg i og rundt hotellet nesten et døgn

Hotellet er moderne og med god standard. Flott utsikt fra takterrassen (med restaurant og basseng), men servicen der oppe vare elendig (hyggelig personale, men de surret med bestillinger og var umåtelig trege). Prompte service på valet parking (og bil bør man ha i denne byen)... Kan absolutt anbefale hotellet, men det er ikke spesielt sentralt (men hva er nå det i Los Angeles, der attraksjonene er spredt utover og man uansett bør ha bil?).

De fleste besøkende begynner og slutter sitt besøk i Southland på Los Angeles internasjonale flyplass. Som landets travlese innvandringsport er LAX et moderne Ellis Island. Flyplassen, som ligger praktisk til hvis du skal til strandbyene, har sin egen turistattraksjon. Den retro-futuristiske Theme-bygningen, bygd i 1961, ligner på en flyvende tallerken. The bathroom door dad a hole in the middle of it, the ac vents were caked with dust and the staff was absolutely unfriendly. The worst hotel stay ever!

Overall my stay was great. I liked the ease of getting to every place from the hotel location.

Stayed here as flight was going to get in late from the UK. The rooms are very clean and bed/pillows incredibly comfortable. Room service had an hour wait so I had to go to the restaurant.where the service was good and the food very good. The downside was that I could not get into two of the rooms they gave me and had to trail the long way down with […] luggage to reception. The room I got into had a very strange smell in the bathroom (not the fault of the hotel). They brought me a key for the "executive floor". Finally got into a comfortable and clean room. Depending on the room they give you it can be a very long way from the lift so keep that in mind if you have mobility challenges or small children. Location is very convienient to airport, but not close to anything else (no shopping, restaurants, etc.) unless you have transportation. Air traffic can be heard inside some rooms. There is a trolly stop aross from the Westin that runs 7 days a week for transportation to Manhattan beach and area shopping malls. Cost is only a few bucks round trip to […] the beach/village/mall area and back to hotel-can't beat it. Conciere service is very good also. Hotel is a bit dated, but was clean and comfortable enough. Be careful with the in room "mini bar"-if you even move a bottle around the fridge sense it and will charge you for it! (Although I had no problems having the front desk staff remove charges from my bill). I did not dine in their in house bar/grill (The Daily Bar) but it looked very intimate and inviting. Even though there are cheaper hotels in the area, such as the Travel Lodge, I would recommend The Westin as it was a very fair price and excellent conciere service. Les mer

While promising great convenience and comfort this Westin suffers from missing shuttle buses (waited almost an hour), long front desk check-in lines, traffic noise in the rooms and rooms that need remodeling.

Very close to airport, shuttle to and from airport very convenient. Concierge very helpful. Rooms quiet and clean.

The rooms including breakfast which you pay more for are a cup of Starbucks coffee, a danish, and a piece of fruit. Skip the extra payment and go with the cheapest room.

"Near LAX, Needs Refurbishment"
The Westin Airport's strong suit is that it's very near LAX and provides a shuttle. The beds are comfortable, it's pretty well soundproofed, and the housekeepers do a decent job with what they have to work with. The neighborhood is mostly industrial and other airport hotels. Our room had a chair with a rip and stuffing hanging out, tile in bathroom […] patched with a different color, mismatched furniture pieces--plastic-upholstered. The only drinking glasses were those thin plastic cups wrapped in cellophane. WiFi at $12.95/day. One of those minibars that registers a charge if you so much as touch anything. It's an okay place to clean up and nap between flights, but you can do that less expensively in the same area. Les mer

"Wonderful overnight in LA"
We arrived to smiling faces and a concierge service that was MORE than happy to set us up on quick trolley trip down to "somewhere cool to spend the evening". Concierge service even helped the couple in front of me try and track down cheaper cab fares to get to the Staples Center for the Kings game that evening! The room was very clean, bed and pillows […] were like sleeping on a cloud, and air traffic noise was surprisingly not an issue being so close to LAX! Free shuttle service dropped us off right in front of our terminal and away we went. Would gladly book again if we were to have an overnight in LA or even an extended stay!! The hotel is very old a very bad maintenance in the rooms the shower curtain was with fungus in the bottom of it the computer chair was scratch the sell of the hotel was all humidity and moisture and they gave you a good rate but charge you for everything 30 dollars valet or self parking daily internet charges 15 dollars daily i did not recommend this […] hotel to anyone i usually stay in 3 to 5 stars hotel was this hotel is less than 1 star Les mer

The hotel was reasonable, but everything about it, was ridiculous. Parked in garage, well we unloaded and then went to leave an hour later and it was $15, the valet told us it would be cheaper, Tried to print my boarding passes, and it said free, and then when I put my name and room number it was $6.95 for 15 minutes, so I didn't bother. The first day […] we thought we would have a quick bite, as we were getting picked up for a tour, Coffee and a bagel cost $16 for two. Never used the dining room again. Les mer
"Not Westin standard"
This site hotel couldn't reflect the true Westin standard. No staff offered to help with my luggage upon my arrival. Condition of the room is just like a 3-star hotel. The toilet couldn't flush properly. The only advantage is location and free airport shuttle. Convenient for stopover.
"Westin at LAX"
The Westin is always a great place to stay! The staff are courteous and helpful. The restaurant was fantastic as well. The only downsides were the distance from the elevator to my room (way at the far end) and getting turned around at the airport.

Very clean hotel with comfortable rooms and beds. All the employees I encountered were very friendly and very accomodating. I was at the hotel for a convention and their facilities where very clean and well organized. They also have a free shuttle to and from the airport, so don't pay $20 for a cab!

I was looking for a smoking room and per your site I had a smoking room conf. , once I arrived at the hotel I was told the Hotel is a non smoking hotel. Not happy about that.

Stayed here after arriving on a late flight into LAX. Close and convenient for the airport. Has the feel of a large business hotel, but staff were helpful and professional. At check in we were given vouchers to upgrade our (included) breakfast to the buffet on the exec floor which has a great view of arriving aircraft. There is a Denny's Diner 5mins […] walk away if the (slightly pricey) in-house hotel restaurant food is not what you're looking for. Les mer
"On the lower end my usual Westin experience"
This is the second time I stay at this Westin. I'm a fan of Westin so I usually don't think twice about staying at one of their hotels. This Westin however, is definitely at the lower end of what you usually get. Someone made a big mistake in selecting the furniture for the rooms. There a huge counter that runs through the room made out of a material […] that stains and as a result, there are hundreds of marks from cups and containers that can't be cleaned off. It's not dirty though, just marked. This was the second time I stayed at this Westin, so it's not something I can't tolerate. I did have a problem with stained towels this time, but someone brought me fresh towels as soon as I called. The Westin in Long Beach is 100 times better, but if you need a quick place to crash, the beds are clean and the rooms smell great. Les mer

Hotel has tiny hot tub 6x4, Hotel appears to be the farthest one from air port, it didn't seem kid friendly at all. Said they had fridge in room, but not that it was stocked with over priced goods. "wonderful experience"
I would definitely recommed this hotel. Clean, all requirements filled, great location. Just a short walk there is an Internet cafe, the food is great there. Dennys 2 lights down, Taco Bell across the street had no problem finding a decent place to eat. The beds where very comfortable as well as the pillows. Computers avalible is several locations. "Great price for the quality"
I shopped around and settled on the Westin - great hotel, very comfortable beds, nice hotel. The only thing is that it could use a little maintenance work - such as scratched furniture, torn wall paper, old carpet, etc. Little things, not big deal. but i can't complain for the price and quality of the hotel.

"Not up to Westin Hotel Standards"
Stayed at Westin LAX night before flight (Dec 31/11). Only cold water for a shower. Very noisy, big gap in door that let in all noise in the hallway. Perhaps because in was New Year's Eve the noise was unbelievable. False alarm went off at 2am, so all told we had 1 hour of sleep that night before getting up at 5am for flight. Cost for night was significant, […] but personnel just shrugged & said sorry when we complained. Food in hotel grill, way over priced and lacked creativity. Location to LAX is the only good thing. "Poor service"
Checkin was too time consuming taking over a half hour at around 1135 pm. The room had a connecting door with next door from which you could completely hear conversation and children playing from next door! Standard hotel publications in the room had handwritten notes and Phone numbers on them from previous guests.

The hotel is convenient to LAX, and is easily accessed by the daily shuttle service that runs every 15-20 min. I was able to take the shuttle in order to pick up my daughter arriving at the airport relieving me of having to drive there. I always find the beds the drawcard at the westin ! But everytime I stay , something goes wrong! This time no hot water , and the staff downstair couldn't really care less !
